Camping Um Bierg is located at the edge of a small village on the border of Luxembourg and Belgium. The campsite is literally on a mountain, this makes for a beautiful view. But with only a beautiful spot you do not have a beautiful campsite, it turned out during the week of our vacation. We noticed... that the atmosphere was not pleasant. An us knows us culture. In the evening there is a regular club in the restaurant. The owner was not friendly to us, she did not radiate the hostess that we had seen on television. No friendliness, but gruff, she radiated a lot of negativity, she did not seem to enjoy her work.
When we arrived we were received in a crazy way, there was no attention to us, just to move on as quickly as possible. No question how our trip was, our place was pointed out and that was it. When checking out (2 days earlier than planned) there was only a short business conversation there was no question how we had experienced it. The toilet facilities are very dated, super cramped and inadequate, 8 toilets and 8 showers in total and 4 dishwashing stations, for a campground with about 100 sites. There was no toilet paper at the toilets because children clog the toilets, according to the owner. The water pressure is very low.
The volunteers still try to make something of it, the cleaner of the toilets and the woman of the animation did their best and were friendly. For children under 6 the animation program is ok. The playground equipment is outdated and some are loose in the ground. There are two old stone table tennis tables, which do not suffice as a table tennis table a game around the table you cannot play because the hedge next to the tables makes it difficult to run. There is no WiFi at the tent, only at the reception. Summary: For regular guests a nice place. People passing through can stay there for a night. The dogs are fine. Less suitable for families.

Heeeel schoon en veel regels
Echt een Luxemburgse camping, schoon, streng en veel regels. Niet echt mijn ding, maar toegegeven de eigenaars zijn zeer vriendelijk en in het restaurant kun je heerlijk eten. Honden toegestaan, maar geen honden in restaurant of op het terrein.

Lovely campsite where you as a motorcyclist are in the middle of the Ardenne massif where you can ride delicious curves. In the evening after the ride you can enjoy in the restaurant Ijsbeen, chicken or schnitzel as big as your plate. Also delicious cool beer you can drink here.
