Inadequate infrastructure
Too few sanitary facilities, no electricity on the campsite, no store - only restaurant, quite cramped = tent to tent in high season. But: great location on the dammed Rhine (dam nearby). This makes it almost like a lake. And a large, almost huge swimming pool.

Child-friendly, very quiet, friendly operators and permanent campers. Mottopartis and country event. A paradise for water rats.

Access is narrow. And the cars stay outside, but that's also an advantage, it's quieter.
Small but mighty
I don't understand the negative reviews! Access is narrow, that's true. Tight pitches for tents, but right on the banks of the Rhine. Very quiet at night. Fantastic, birdsong in the morning. Pure relaxation, even with a small child. Super large sandpit directly in view of the garden restaurant! Lots of regular guests who camp over the summer and ride their bikes to work. Some of them for years! Can it be that bad?

Very nice location
You can pitch your tent right next to the Rhine. But it's difficult to get a place in the front row. It seemed to me that these were more likely to be allocated to regular guests and acquaintances.

Very nice location on the Rhine everything you need is there
We've already been here twice on our bike tour. The location on the Rhine, the swimming pool and the cozy pub put you in a vacation mood. The infrastructure is clean and tidy.

Camping directly on the Rhine
Small site characterized by permanent campers, with a beautiful tent meadow directly on the Rhine. If you want to cook for yourself, it's a good idea to arrive "bought in". The sanitary facilities are certainly past their best, but you can live with them. The owners make a great effort, but unfortunately... some of the instructions and regulations are from the day before yesterday. Every drop of hot water costs extra, 50.- deposit for shower badge! Guests with caravans have to park their cars about 100 m from the site entrance! A bad habit, as you store various articles of daily use in the trunk. Departures before 08.00 a.m. are not possible, even after consultation, as a large gate makes it impossible to leave! Many Swiss campsite operators would do well to find out about guest-friendly camping both near and far!

Sanitary not clean, narrow access and approach, no supervision day and night. No regulations. More like a bathing area with camping than a campsite.
Good during the day, too loud at night
The approach is via a very narrow road, making it impossible to swerve and turn. The entrance is also very narrow. Space is ok but there are very few shady spots. At night there is no supervision and the youngsters party until the police arrive and all the toddlers and babies are awake. Very bad. Also,... very loud motorboats drive around at night and the train runs on the German side until about 02.00 am. Nice big pool with shallow water, also suitable for the little ones. We didn't try the food, but it must be good because of the long queue.

Small campsite right on the Rhine. Very close to nature, there was even a breeding stork on the site. The sanitary facilities are clean, but there are only 3 showers for everyone.
