"Ungewöhnlicher Campingplatz - ......aber weit und breit der einzige. Deshalb fasziniert er mich auch irgendwie. War im Mai/Juni 3 Wochen und den ganzen Sept. mit dem Zelt dort. Die Lage des Platzes in Montegallo und das Sibillini Gebirge ist halt einmalig. Die Bergtouren dort sind schon recht anspruchsvoll und das Panorama das sich oben am Kamm, bei meist schönen Wetter bietet ist gewaltig. Leider sind die Aufstiege in die Berge derzeit nur von Osten möglich, da auf Grund des starken Erdbebens 2016 jegliche Zufahrten nach Norcia bzw. Castelluccio noch immer gesperrt sind. Camping Vettore nach dem Mte. Vettore benannt (auf den Bildern ersichtlich) ist ein recht einfacher Platz und ganzjährig geöffnet. Die Bungalows sind zum Teil von den Erdbebenopfern aus der Umgebung bewohnt. Der Besitzer ist Pizzabäcker, Platzbetreiber und Hausmeister in allem und überaus freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Camping Vettore is located 400 mt from Balzo di Montegallo, on the slopes of Monte Vettore. The structure is equipped with every kind of comfort a camper can desire: there are 50 places for trailers and tents, bathroom facilities, showers …and a laudry. Your stay will be made escecially enjoyable thanks to a series of activities organized by the camping structure: excursions on foot, on horse back, on mountain bike, with authorized guides along mountain paths or to the top of Monte Vettore (2476 mt); mountain sports (excursion, trekking, climbing) and extreme sports (paragliding, hang gliding, rafting, free-climbing). On the other hand, if you just want to relax, then you can simply stay in our comfortable wooden bungalow, mini apartaments with kitchen, bathroom, indoor heating and veranda.
