Dog-friendly - great pitch with waste water / electricity - owner very, very friendly and has time for a chat several times! The permanent campers are just nice and helpful! No grim faces - meeting - of permanent campers, campers, this means: Everyone is in a good mood in rain, wind and sunshine - friendly and damn nice, like us. Sanitary facilities very, very clean. You can pick up bread rolls in the restaurant next door, order the evening before in the restaurant. Showers: when you lather up, you press the stop button and the counter stops running! Great idea!

Masks are compulsory in the sanitary building, many people can't or don't want to accept it!!! Too bad!!! We are also 3 times vaccinated and wear a mask!!!! It would be helpful ... to signpost ... ( also homepage) that you need a 1 Euro coin to shower. The restaurant next door offers good food, but unfortunately we only award 0 stars for the service, the word attention to the customer is not known and if you want to order something else you have to be active yourself or wait a very long time. Too bad, great, great location, it could be a goldmine if the operator of the restaurant would realize to pay more attention to the customer and to train the staff a bit, customer is king, at the prices! This is just a comment and does NOT concern the operator of the place!

Beautiful vacation in a beautiful place
We had a very nice pitch right on the lake. The individual pitches are separated by hedges, so everyone has some privacy. Water and electricity are on site. W-Lan free of charge. Ratzeburg is about 3 km away along the lake.

Pure nature, our son, now 38 years old, grew up here, experiences with hare and hedgehog or even Nandu galore, now the grandchildren are at home here and, nothing has changed. The relationship with the landlords is rather friendly, there were always clear announcements, that's how it should be. We, now in our 60s, will stay as long as our health allows.

It is a pity, especially for us older people, that it still has to be built up and dismantled, but understandable, as we are in a nature reserve.
What more could you want?
We have been tenants for almost 40 years now, and no day or year has been like the one we have already experienced. It's nice to arrive here, unpack, then there's the lawn care and then the great enjoyment. A short drive from Hamburg on the A24 as a feeder road, or by motorcycle overland, everything... goes quickly. Shopping at the bakery etc. everything is fine, we know each other. The connection with each other is really good, now I come back to the title, what more could you want. We look forward to the new season every year, let's see if the pandemic allows it in 2021. Oh well, our dog is always welcome.

Relax in beautiful surroundings by the lake
We (2 adults and a dog) stayed at this very nice, well-kept and clean campsite for 3 weeks in July 2018. The owners are very nice and helpful hosts who care a lot about their site and their guests. You can tell. The sanitary facilities are not modern, but extremely clean, which is more important to me.... The permanent campers were also wonderful neighbors. We were very reluctant to go home again and would love to come back. You can enjoy swimming, canoeing, sailing or simply hiking here.

The most beautiful place in the north, directly on the lake, all the forces of nature can be observed, the perfect place for water sports enthusiasts!

Small and fine...
Very nice place, unfortunately some pitches directly on the lake are very narrow, but this can be managed well with tactical utilization, the place on the water was perfect for fishing. Getting the necessary fishing papers was very expensive fun, and very critical to see despite all the papers available... from the house still an additional license for Schleswig-Holstein??? Night tickets very expensive! The nearby restaurant was very good. Unfortunately no bread roll service, you had to drive into town. The sanitary facilities are very outdated and were not always clean. Also for the place with a large tent meadow (very suitable for youth groups) and permanent campers, there could be a few more toilets. The campsite operators were very nice and friendly!!! A very nice environment.

Our first mini-camping vacation at the lake was a success. Nice reception by the owners, immediate help with the alignment of the caravan on the plot by "permanent campers", relaxing peace and pure idyll. Gladly again !!!
