Although the site was well frequented, it was very quiet. The pitches are spacious and laid out on grass.
The sanitary facilities are very clean. There are several... family bathrooms with shower, toilet and 2 washbasins each. There is a small swimming lake, 2 playgrounds and a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the lake. At the reception you can buy the most necessary things and order bread rolls as well as rent Kettcars. Another restaurant is approx. 1 km away. A garden café (Melkhus) can be reached by bike. Make sure you go there!
Hiking parking lots for excursions to the moor or the heathland can be reached by bike or car. The arrival is easy. The proximity to the highway makes the campsite perfect on the journey north. Too good for just one night. Better to plan a few days! There are several arrival parking spaces at the entrance, even for large caravans. The pitches are very... large and well paved. Electricity, water and waste water are available on site. The pitches are mainly on grass. There is plenty for the children to discover. Pig enclosure, pedal car track and a race track in the forest, great playgrounds, trampoline, table football, a swimming pond with sandy beach, etc...
There is a bread roll service with online ordering function. The reception offers drinks, ice cream and a small selection of food and souvenirs from the region. The wash houses are well maintained and the family bathrooms are also freely available. There is a washing machine for emptying cassettes. The nature park is easily accessible by bike or on foot from the campsite. Simply beautiful countryside... There is so much to discover in the region. We were only on the site for a few days, but could very well imagine a longer stay. We will certainly be back...Automaticky preložené. 
Sabine D.June 2024PozitívneThe location is absolutely great. You can be in Soltau, Schneverdingen or in the middle of a heathland in 10 minutes. The medical supply stores: Very clean and well equipped. The older one right at the entrance has its rustic charm 🤪 but is still very clean (and that's what matters) and will definitely be renovated at some point We have a dog and the campsite is great for dog owners. There is a large, fenced-off dog meadow, an extra pond for dogs (which could perhaps be a bit bigger) and even a dog shower. The pitches vary in size and may have hedges to the nearest neighbors, which is quite pleasant. The bread roll service is great, the restaurant is great and we felt very comfortable.NegatívneDue to the dog-friendliness, those who don't like dogs have to live with barking and the like. On the other hand, they are also free to go somewhere else.Great all roundIf the weather had been better, we would probably have seen more of the beautiful Lüneburg Heath, but we'll just make up for it next time, because we'll definitely be back!

- Stephan H.July 2023PozitívneThe motorhome site has large pitches, just right for our three-axle vehicle.NegatívneUnfortunately, the current has been reduced to 4 A (until last year it was 10 A). A sign recommends that only the TV and lamps should be operated, at least no appliances over 900 W. Refrigerators, hair dryers, kettles, microwaves and coffee machines are all taboo. Anyone who dares to do so anyway will very quickly blow the throttled fuse. When asked, the possibility of purchasing additional electricity is denied. Installing meters is also too expensive. You'd be better off throttling down your fridge when it's 35 degrees outside. It's your own fault if you book something like that. When asked why they didn't simply increase the electricity flat rate, the answer was that this was not possible. Although we were offered a more expensive alternative site within the grounds, we were unable to access it with our vehicle due to the tight space and several parked vehicles. We ended up canceling our second stay, which we had already paid for. By the way: The bowls in the retro toilet should be tightened, as some of them are wobbly.Not like thisIt was ok for us to travel through for years, but not under the current conditions.Automaticky preložené.

Despite the current tight pitch situation in Germany, we like to travel but we cannot recommend this site.
It starts with the reception, when we were greeted by a rather annoyed and unemotional employee. This behavior continued... during the course of our stay. The staff were more like annoyed telephone company employees than people who work with guests.
The unsecured campsite is equipped with heart and attention to detail and is apparently well suited for families with children due to its lush facilities. The existing swimming pond, in which we preferred not to go swimming, is left to its own devices and the water quality (algae?) probably remains a big mystery... However, frogs and lots of other animals seem to really appreciate the pond. The pitches are rather unkempt, once over with the lawnmower and the next guest can come.
The operator's own restaurant with its very unusual opening hours and service staff who were a pure disaster made us feel completely uncomfortable, so no service robot standing in a corner helps, although it would probably have been friendlier to the guests. The food itself was good, and a small ray of hope.
All in all, a campsite with a successful façade but what makes a campsite is a heart and we couldn't find that behind the façade, what a shame.Automaticky preložené.

The staff are very friendly. Arrival and departure uncomplicated.
Most of the pitches are separated by many hedges or bushes. The ground is meadow plus paving slabs. Electricity, waste water and fresh water directly on site. However, some... pitches do not have a water tap but only a connection that works with a hose. There are a few pitches with trees. (like us, pitch 62)
There are pitches for tourists, seasonal campers and permanent campers.
The camping park has a lot to offer: mini-pigs, kettcar rental, natural swimming lake, table tennis table, great playground, football pitch, dog meadow (fenced), restaurant, campfire site, camping cleaner machine (€3 cleaning fee + detergent).
We did not visit the restaurant (regional German cuisine) as there was no more room on the terrace on Sunday. Reservations are recommended. Once we got pizza in the afternoon which was very tasty.
The two wash houses leave nothing to be desired. Modern, well maintained and clean. The cleaning staff are very friendly. There are various bathrooms with showers, children's bathroom, laundry room, scullery (inside and outside).
The natural bathing lake with sandy beach and a small water playground plus bathing island was the favorite place of all children. It's not that deep and therefore also suitable for non-swimmers - but very cold in May ;-)
The location is great for all excursions in the region. At the reception there were also regional products to buy (and sweets, ice cream, coffee etc.). In Schneverdingen itself (10 minutes away) there are all shopping facilities (Aldi, Edeka, Lidl, Rossmann etc.).
We stayed 10 days with two children (4+5) and it was a wonderful vacation. The majority of campers also have dogs with them. Unfortunately, for hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, at most on the terrace. But who wants that when it's raining and 7 degrees? We therefore won't be visiting the site again and the reservation went really well. The staff are very friendly. Respect to the cleaning staff. Since we are only on the WoMo place in front of the barrier, we can only rate this. The price-performance ratio is OK. The site is clean and well maintained. The road noise is bearable. Usually over in the evening. This time, however, two teenagers in the yard next door... were annoying. They rode their mopeds there for hours. One of them stood provocatively at the entrance and kept revving the throttle. You could assume that they were there on purpose. The pitches are differently equipped, petting zoo and new large playground available. WiFi unfortunately not available on the motorhome pitches, satellite reception only possible on some pitches. Getting there is very easy and the site is easy to find. There are two spacious waiting lanes in front of the entrance. Almost all pitches have their own fresh water/waste water connection and a paved... area for the awning. The sanitary buildings have been partially renovated and were always clean and tidy. The so-called family bathrooms were a highlight in terms of size and comfort. There is a small restaurant on site and a bread roll service (rolls must be ordered by 6 pm the day before). Gas bottles can also be exchanged directly on site (including aluminum gas bottles). The staff were always nice and friendly. At reception, they also dealt with small special requests directly and without complications. For us, the camping park was an ideal starting point for activities and is very close to the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. There is also a designer outlet and Heide Park Soltau nearby. From our point of view, the site is a clear recommendation and therefore gets full marks :-)Automaticky preložené.
