We chose this campsite because, despite the lunch break, we were given a pitch (registration can be made later). All the other sites insisted on their 2-hour lunch break. Unfortunately, you can't always determine exactly how quickly you can get through on your trips. That's just annoying. So we opted... for this simple and friendly campsite. It had the charm of a farm campsite and the sanitary facilities were from ancient times and the rooms were underground (you thought you were in a laundry room from earlier times, but the owners were super friendly and the permanent campers greeted you as if you were part of the family. The "restaurant" also catered to our meal times and the price-performance ratio was also perfectly fine. And as we were on our last leg home, the sanitary facilities didn't matter. Sorry that we didn't get a better rating, but we didn't get a more personal welcome anywhere.

Good for cyclists and paddlers
Small site on a slope, separated from the Fulda only by a road with little traffic. Mostly permanent campers, a few abandoned pitches with leftovers such as stone slabs or a broken stove spoil the overall impression. For paddlers, a 50 m long, asphalted but fairly steep path leads up to the campsite.... Quiet, the railroad line on the other bank hardly disturbs. Somewhat older but clean sanitary facilities, shower coins for €1. Small restaurant with a manageable range of dishes, but tasty and cheap. Bread roll service. Otherwise no shopping facilities. Very friendly operators. Very reasonable prices.

.... A simple, small but very nicely situated campsite directly on the Fulda, with somewhat outdated but clean sanitary facilities. Restaurant recommended. Swimming pool 5 min. away by car. Fishing on the Fulda possible, fishing licenses available on site. From the A7 via Melsungen quickly and easily accessible in a few minutes. The owner-spouses are very nice and helpful.
