S.September 2023PozitívnePlace in the middle of nature on an island between Diemel and canal for an old mill, old sanitary mostly clean, Trendelburg itself is a nice place with shopping facilities, ideal for cycling along the Diemel towards Bad KarlshafenNegatívneOverall old facility, looks dark and unkempt, too few sanitary facilities for the large space, shower with 1.50 euros also time-limited, old sanitary facilities, many trees bad for satellite systems, noisy street next door,For and against......How the place gets so many 5.0 ratings is not entirely clear to me. Overall, the buildings of the old mill appear unkempt and in need of renovation, the courtyards untidy and unattractive. The operator seems tense and irritable, there is no map of the site and you are disoriented at first because of... the different access routes. The sanitary facilities are old, but mostly clean. Showers are extremely expensive at 1.50 euros and there is a time limit. There are lots of trees which make satellite reception impossible for TV fans. The street opposite is quite noisy. The place was ok for that, but the sanitary facilities are very outdated, the showers can only be used with tokens, the playground is old (and the neighbors don't like children playing). Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio was very good.... You can easily explore the area from there (ostrich farm, primeval forest, bicycle tours).
The site is surrounded by an arm of a river, which is quite interesting in itself, but you can hardly get into the water and children in particular have few opportunities to swim.

Apart from us, one pitch was still occupied. When we arrived on Friday, unfortunately only one of the 4 men's toilets was still usable, the rest were dirty. The rest of the sanitary facilities were not particularly clean either. The site itself makes... a desolate impression with the caravans parked there. You can get everything you need in the beautiful, well-kept village and the Brandner restaurant is highly recommended. The site is a great starting point for hiking and cycling.Automaticky preložené.

The site is beautifully situated on an old mill site on the Diemel. You can set off in a kayak/canoe directly from the site. You stand under tall trees, the birds chirp and it's simply idyllic with a view of the castle... above the campsite. There is a meadow for groups arriving, the small pub serves bread rolls in the morning, and in the afternoon or evening you can have a cold beer and watch soccer (Sky). The operators are extremely friendly and helpful and the site is very well maintained. The sanitary facilities are not the latest standard, but very clean, although the site was fully booked over Whitsun. However, there are actually too few showers and toilets available, and there were queues, even in the washing-up area. Showers cost €1.00, which is completely ok considering the low pitch costs. Dogs are always welcome. Good shopping facilities in the village. Nice operators, bread rolls etc. everything in order and in summer a paradise for canoeists, water play kids etc. The site is quiet, but unfortunately you can hear the (not very busy) main road quite well due to the valley location.... A campsite in the original style (meant positively), cheap and without glamor, but well-kept. Some permanent campers show up at the weekend. Important note: If you want to go canoeing, you have to register at the campsite (actually by email). It was very quiet as there were few guests on vacation at this time. In summer the place should be very full. You can go on very nice bike tours, hikes and canoe tours and enjoy the nature and surroundings. There are shops in the village and... also restaurants if you don't want to cook. If you are still looking for a real campsite and don't need any frills with entertainment, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back in the fall.Automaticky preložené.
