Public transport to London practically on the doorstep and even without a reservation you can stay for one night and with a little charm chat for 2 or 3 nights.

The number 3 bus takes you from here to the city center and the sights in 50 minutes for little money. (Please note that anyone over the age of 10 needs their own credit or debit card, which can be charged).
This location was... the main reason for our booking a few weeks ago.
The campsite was fully booked in August, but the nice ladies at reception made it possible for us to extend our stay from 2 nights to 3 and then 5 nights, so thank you again.
Membership of the club is worthwhile from 5 nights in a Motor Caravan Club campsite.
The sanitary facilities were cleaned daily and made a clean impression, hot water was always sufficiently available, the sanitary facilities were large enough even at this peak vacation time.
We can't understand the bad reviews (all from 2013 and earlier), so here is our current rating.

We were not offered an alternative but were literally kicked out. At the time, we didn't have a motorhome and were very proud of our camper van. We felt really bad after the experience. Unfortunately, the English... still don't know how to do it. Incidentally, the site is located in a totally run-down district where it is better not to stay alone in the eveningAutomaticky preložené.
- Alexander A.August 2012We chose the Crystal Palace CP for some sightseeing days in London because it is very conveniently located. You can easily walk to various bus stops and the suburban/regional train. The site is very clean and fully enclosed. However, there are hardly any leisure activities on the site itself. It is therefore... hardly recommendable for a longer vacation stay. You also have to accept that such a site in the middle of the city is not exactly quiet. You can hear the car traffic very well, at least on weekdays, and you will always have to put up with aircraft noise. On the square itself there is a small kiosk with the essentials. The staff were very helpful when exploring the city. There are shops and restaurants about 1 km away. We were there for 4 days with the tent.Automaticky preložené.
- peter k.July 2011Expensive but well located pitch for London...one of the few. Mostly in gravel. Be sure to book, as the site is always full. It still only takes 50 minutes to get to London by bus. (oestercard is recommended by the camping staff!!!, and the deposit on the card can only be refunded at selected locations...).... Be sure to buy another ticket (day ticket) so that you can change to the subway on the way, saves a lot of time. There is no store on the square.
