Good supermarkets far away.Unusual concept, great operatorsWe stayed at the Sasso Corbo campsite for 8 nights in June and had a great time. The predominantly Dutch camping crowd is very friendly and sociable, everything is very informal; dogs are not allowed on the site. Saturnia is only 1/2 hour's drive away, so be sure to visit the surrounding villages, e.g.... Pitigliano, Sorano, Santa Fiora. We were there with our tent and car and had a polystyrene cool box with cold packs, which we could freeze in a freezer at the campsite. This is the only way to get food supplies if, like us, you like to cook with fresh Italian ingredients! The nearest good supermarket is in Arcidosso (20km) and the small supermarket in the next village (Semproniano) was always closed. You don't necessarily want to drive up the gravel road to the main road every day to get groceries. The owners cook a menu twice a week, which we didn't use. There is also an emergency supply to buy (pasta sauce in a jar, spaghetti, Nutella, popsicles ... etc.). The self-service open-air bar offers mineral water, coffee, tea, beer, ice cream, bread to order in advance, eggs, etc. - What the campers take (or harvest in the vegetable garden) is entered on tally sheets and billed at the end - so there is a lot of trust on the part of the site operators. The sanitary facilities were actually new construction site container toilets, but always very clean and with everything you needed (washing-up liquid, toilet paper, liquid soap, hot water, light ...). There is also a washing machine and the possibility to buy regional wine. Due to the hillside location and the long distances between the pitches, it is easy to get around - but you have time and can enjoy the untouched nature, because most of the meadows remain unmown and are a wonder of biodiversity (flowering plants, butterflies, insects). We say wow 👍👍👍👍NegatívneNo disadvantages for usMr. and Mrs.We received a very warm welcome from Basti and Domenika and were really surprised that there wasn't a bad pitch on the extensive camp. Each one is ingeniously positioned in its own way on the extensive site and is spacious. The price-performance ratio is perfect. The warmth and helpfulness of the owners... should be emphasized in every respect. You can clearly feel that this camp is run with genuine pleasure. Fortunately you can also buy some things there.Adam and Eve in ParadiseThe campground is located very nicely on a mountain/hill in the greenery. We went in early June and we had all the space and choice in terms of location. Actually every spot was perfect because everywhere the view is beautiful. It is not a campsite for young people unless they come for hiking and nature.... Although I must say that the sons (also teenagers) of Bas and Domenica easily make contact with the younger campers. It is mainly a place to relax, visit all the beautiful places in the neighborhood and enjoy nature. Twice a week Domenica cooks and you can eat together with the other camping guests at long tables with (again) beautiful views. The sanitary facilities are sober but very clean.Furthermore, there is wine from the barrel (you can also come along to the vineyard), fresh eggs from the chickens and vegetables from the vegetable garden. We had bad luck with our car but Bas and Domenica helped us wonderfully with everything. Thanks to them and the beautiful campsite we still had a wonderful vacation and we will definitely go back!Automaticky preložené.
- Edith & Achim N.April 2019PozitívneVery large pitches, lots of peace and quiet, lots of natureCamping the way we love it:Very large pitches with lots of free space between the pitches, very clean sanitary facilities, nice communal areas with nice chats with the other guests, great panoramic views from all pitches, pitches with sun and pitches with shade, a nice swimming pool, shopping facilities for the most important... groceries (including eggs from our own chickens), fresh home-baked bread, and above all: Domenica and Bas, the owners of the site, who read our every wish from our eyes. Only the name of the campsite doesn't fit. It should actually be called "Paradise" :-) . We are looking forward to our next motorhome vacation at Sasso Corbo.Automaticky preložené.

Nature is absolutely in the foreground. The bread is baked on site and guests can help themselves from the vegetable garden. Everything is spotlessly clean. The pitches are huge - the neighbor can only be reached by phone. Everything... is eco. Not accessible for large motorhomes as the access road is steep and narrow. No car on the pitch - simply fantastic!!!! The view is like a picture book. The two have fulfilled a dream and are making it come true.Automaticky preložené.

The site is very spacious and the pitches are spaced far apart - there are only 30 pitches in total. The view extends far across the countryside and... it is absolutely quiet, even in high season.
