"great place, quiet area we like to come here😃 - We are now here for the 3rd time and will be back next year😃 Very nice reception, everything very clean and well maintained. What more could you want To Rinteln less than 20 minutes walk.

"Dreamlike place at the Doktorsee - The reception was friendly and very nice, we were able to choose a pitch and it was fantastic - slightly elevated above the lake and paved - sanitary facilities not far away. You should have a bike with you, the site is huge and if you want bread rolls in the morning, it's sometimes a long way. The nearby town of Rinteln is beautiful and worth one or more visits.

"Bottomless impudence - Simply a bottomless insolence, pure greed. We booked weeks ago on the recommendation of the reception on the north shore from 27-03-2024-01-04-2024. On recommendation: the pitches are bigger and we wanted to meet friends there. As we had noticed that the pitches were flooded in winter, we had asked specifically whether the pitches were OK and that you wouldn't sink there. We were told that everything was OK and if not, we would find other places. When we arrived, we could already see that the pitches were muddy. When maneuvering, the tires were already spinning. But we managed to park the caravan. Others had to be pulled with the wheel loader or tractor. As it then started to rain, the pitches quickly became even worse. We quickly set up what we wanted to set up and then the pitch was no longer reasonably accessible. The attached picture doesn't even come close to reflecting it. Wacken sends its regards!!!. The next day we asked if we could get other places, which was denied because everything was fully booked. We spent the whole time walking around in rubber boots that were full of mud. The caravan was dirty inside and out. We were looking forward to our first vacation of the year and then something like this happened. the pitches should have been closed. Everyone there was upset, not just us. So often cars or caravans were pulled out of the mud by the tractor. We left a day early because we'd had enough, but still had to pay the full price. We weren't given a single consideration, neither for the pitch rental nor for the electricity price. The sanitary block was also outdated and not very clean. It barely served its purpose. Simply a cheek!!! That's what I call greed. Never again this campsite!

"Very large place, well located and beautiful lake - We were there over Ascension Day. We had a pitch in the front row right by the lake. The pitch was clean and paved. Water and electricity connections directly at the pitch. We tried both restaurants and liked them both. Very good cycle paths around the campsite. We were close to the wash house number 9, unfortunately there was a lot of unpleasant odors, but everything was clean. Camping with a dog is also no problem here. The campsite is mainly occupied by permanent campers, but there are still plenty of nice pitches in the front row.

"Super but spacious! - We only stayed for one night. No reservation possible for one night. Nice place with a good radius! Good facilities on the lake and on land! Bread rolls and small kiosk, restaurant on the lake. Beautiful area. Always happy to return

"Unfortunately not a good rating... - We were lucky that we got a pitch on the very large CP that was still reasonably good. Lots of permanent campers who littered their pitches. Maggots on the sidewalk, leftover food... Sanitary 9 was by far the cleanest of the 10. Most of the play equipment was broken. No dog bag dispensers, no possibility to leave dogs outside.

Profil

Spend your holiday at Doktorsee in the beautiful Weser Uplands and have a great time camping or in our comfortable holiday houses. Whether directly on the water, close to the beach or the nature reserve - the spacious camping pitches …for caravans, motorhomes, campers and tents are located around the lake and have a power source as well as fresh water, waste water and satellite connections in selected areas. Well-maintained sanitary buildings with disabled access are located close to the pitches. The recreation area offers many leisure activities: a large beach with a great water slide and extensive sunbathing lawn, pedal boats and stand-up paddling, adventure minigolf, several playgrounds, a sauna area with a floating lakeside sauna, various events in the summer months, varied gastronomic offers in the restaurants and much more. Dogs are also very welcome at Doktorsee and can let off steam on the dog play area and cool off in our dog showers. Don't miss our annual highlight ‘Doktorsee in Flammen’ on the fourth weekend in July with open-air music, an entertainment programme and huge fireworks. Doktorsee is just a few minutes by car from the A2 motorway. From the exit Bad Eilsen drive on the B238 towards Rinteln and then turn off following the signs to “Doktorsee“ and “Flugplatz“ (airfield). Alternatively: Take the high way …exit Veltheim and drive to the village Eisbergen. Cross the bridge over the Weser, drive in the direction of Rinteln and follow the signs to the Doktorsee.
