The flying camp in Greifenburg in the Drau Valley, Carinthia, is a popular meeting place for hang gliders and paragliders. The thermals in this region are some of the best in Europe, offering flyers everything they need to fly. Next …to the camp there is a beautiful bathing lake and the region offers a wide variety of other leisure and sports activities. A visit to the flying camp is worth your while! Be positively surprised by the headquarters in the Drau Valley for all adventurers! Whether it's for swimming, paragliding/kite flying or to go to the tanning salon! With us you will find a campsite as you could wish for - with electricity and water connections. The path to the sunbathing lawn and the natural bathing lake is just 50 metres. You will find everything you need right on site - your car is on holiday! In lofty heights In the extreme south of Austria, near the Italian border, the Upper Drau Valley is a beautiful destination with a mild climate. The warm air from Italy is important for hang-gliders, who come especially to this mountainous part of Carinthia. Here everything revolves around paragliding. There is a landing strip near the campsite and training courses are offered. Fresh mountain air On the flat terrain, the main building of the campsite is the central hub. There are spacious camper pitches with sufficient privacy along several roads. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean, as is the rest of the campsite. Many guests of the campsite have a connection to the flying activities, but other campers are also very welcome. Lake idyll in the mountains of Carinthia The campsite's bathing lake is ideal for water fun when the weather is nice, with a charming sunbathing lawn on the sandy beach. Here you will also find a great playground for the little ones. And the surrounding area has a lot more to offer, such as pony rides, a climbing hall and river rafting for the particularly adventurous. The nearby campsite Am Waldbad has a swimming pool that you can also use.
