Terrible experience
The manager told us not to return to the campsite after we asked to leave in quiet time (you are effectively locked in during this time). This was a cause of considerable distress and meant we were without a campsite with a four year old for a night in the middle of August. The manager said there were... notices about this and we were told, whilst I can not be sure (we only managed to stay one night and were told to leave immediately) I don't think there were signs and we definitely weren't told.

Overall the worst camping experience I've ever had and one which has put us off camping given we were effectively made homeless for a night.

Run down
Unfortunately, the site is completely run down. Numerous tents and foil shacks stand between the trees; refugees live in some of them. The run-down integrated apartment complex is used exclusively by people from the former Eastern Bloc (Slovaks when we were there), who are obviously on vacation there... for the cheap vodka prices and are no longer in control of their senses after a certain alcohol level. Noise all night long... The sanitary facilities, "restaurant", pool and other facilities were built in the 1970s and have not been renovated since then. The noise from the main road can be heard moderately to strongly, depending on the wind direction, and does not fade away completely at night. The beaches of Lignano are about 8-10 km away by bike; there are no beaches in the immediate vicinity, only the two marinas of Aprilia Marittima. You realize that the whole area was originally malaria country when mosquitoes attack you in the evening. The night for 2 people in a camper van costs 30 euros including electricity, which is well above the pain threshold for what is on offer. No wonder we were the only guests at times, while the campsites in Lignano itself were still fully booked.....

It's beautifully quiet but boring and there's nothing there except the pool. Who wants to get away from civilization so this is it.
