The campsite is located in the town of Odda, which is not far (20 kilometers) from the Troll's Tongue. This means that there are a lot of tourists there. We arrived in the evening and with difficulty, but still found a place for a tent. To our place we could not park the... car, we left it in the parking lot of the camping. So for more comfortable accommodation in this camping site it is better to arrive early. In addition to tent sites, there are rooms on the campground. The campsite is basically spacious. There is a main building with a shower (paid, 20 nok for 5 min), toilets and a kitchen. The kitchen is small and there were a lot of campers in it. So many that I didn't even see what was in there. Also there is free wi-fi. And there's also a lot of information about Troll Language at the front desk: bus schedules, prices for parking lots and stuff like that. There's nothing grand about this campground. There is everything you need to spend the night and move on.Automaticky preložené.

Showers € 2.20 extra per person and shower. Completely overcrowded site; and I haven't lost count: 2 showers; only 2 (!) dishwashers with lukewarm water; we had to queue everywhere. Many of those who stay here want to hike to Trolltunga, so it's quite busy early on. Overall, we liked the relaxed atmosphere here (lots of "outdoor people").... You can start the hike to the Buarbreen glacier from here. However, the showers are quite cramped and expensive at NOK 20. There is so much to do from here. Unfortunately, the glacier tour we had planned with the motorhome was still not possible - there was still too much snow in June. But that wasn't the site's fault.... There's not much to complain about here, everything is functional and practical. The well-equipped sanitary and kitchen facilities at all the campsites in Norway are great. It was the same here. It was also clean, even if there is certainly room for improvement. However, the site does seem to be too small for the high season, as it was already completely full in the evening at the beginning of June. That's when the sanitary facilities really start to run out. Nevertheless, the campsite is ideal as a base for all kinds of activities and basically left nothing to be desired. Whether this is good or bad is a matter of opinion. Electricity connections are scarce and you need a long cable with a Schuko plug (as is usual in Norway). leo w.July 2011A "must" place due to its central location to many sights and excursion destinations in the area. Recommendation: A few kilometers drive to Buarbreen at the Folgefonn Glacier (small parking lot - often overcrowded) and hike up to the glacier tongue for about 3 hours. The place was quite full during my... visit. The sanitary facilities are worse than the Norwegian average, with toilets, showers, dishwashing etc., expect waiting times. Allow for waiting times. The number of power points (Schuko sockets) is just sufficient. Due to the local location, the pitch is a bit damp - it probably takes a long time for everything to dry out. On arrival the reception was not manned; note: come back in 5 minutes. They often take 2 hours. Never mind, just choose your pitch and check in later. It's best to pay for everything straight away so that there's no waiting time on departure .... ;-)Automaticky preložené.
