Electricity quite far apart. Wash house was getting on in years and quite dirty in places.
Pretty foul-mouthed permanent campers who promptly put you in your place if you (usually... the children) don't follow a CP rule.
On the third day, I was almost beaten up by one of the permanent campers who got upset about my 5-year-old (!) son with a toy fishing rod. It made him so angry that he first insulted me and then lectured me on raising children. Finally, he jumped up and tried to attack me. However, his attempt to attack me failed due to his alcohol level and a fence around his refuge. Complaint to reception: The man is apparently known for such incidents... Well... what can you say.

But the sanitary facilities are no longer anywhere near a normal standard in this day and age.
The women's toilets in particular are outdated, there are only 4 women's showers and no children's or family areas.
In addition, there are many minor defects that can sometimes... be really annoying.
Examples are:
The new jetty by the lake is quite slippery and also dangerous when wet.
Electricity boxes are quite far away and the cable has to be laid across the path.
There is only one service water connection at the wash house.
Defective net on the table tennis table is not repaired.
Always a queue of people at the reception / long waiting time
Baker only comes between 8.00am and 8.30am no possibility to order.
No kiosk on site. Spar is about 1km away.
Only cash payment possible at the reception. Is no longer up to date.
There is no cover on sockets in the washrooms, or cables are only provisionally laid / does not work at all.
Night's rest is not observed. Everyone can open the gate themselves, nobody is interested as well as the other problems.
The location of the site is really good, and the lake is also really beautiful. Good place to swim and SUP.
Many places also have trees and therefore shade.

The staff are extremely friendly and uncomplicated. Everything you need is available. The only thing that would be nice is a kiosk or grocery store on site. So you just have to drive the few minutes by car or bike to the supermarket. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Accordingly, there were few guests here and therefore a very quiet place. The groundsman was already busy with the winter preparations and made every effort to ensure the well-being of the guests, e.g. he asked daily if everything was... OK. Although it was already a bit chilly, the lake was inviting for a swim, it was pleasantly fresh and very clean. The sanitary facilities are designed for summer use, i.e. no heating, but clean. The pitch was large enough and had a lawn and shady tree. Large jetty and sunbathing lawn by the lake. Many permanent campers. Dog not allowed on the water, but there are facilities outside the site. Greek restaurant on site, but bring plenty of time. Owner completely overwhelmed. The sanitary facilities are outdated and not enough when the site is full. It has everything you need, the sanitary facilities are a bit old, but always clean. There is a Greek restaurant on site, delicious food at reasonable prices. - Heidi M.August 2017PozitívneNear the lakeNegatívneLack of hot rinsing water (always had to be fetched in the shower!)Very nice campsite, wonderfully situated on the lakeWe stayed for 3 days in mid-August at Campingplatz Süd (Keutschacher See) and were thrilled! Located directly on the lake, you didn't have far to go to the jetty even if you didn't get a pitch in the first row... The ladies at the reception were very friendly and always tried to fulfill all customer... wishes; the sanitary facilities were clean. What was annoying: there was almost NEVER hot water for washing up (maybe you need more solar panels!), there is no store at the campsite for small errands (bread rolls, butter, milk etc.), you can only pre-order normal bread rolls the day before in the Greek restaurant. It's not very far to the nearest Spar market, but sometimes you don't want to get on your bike in the morning and just walk a few meters to pick up your breakfast. There were only pitches available at Strandcamping Süd on Keutschacher See. After 2 weeks of vacation it is clear to us: We will be back! The many families with children... and grandparents with grandchildren are striking. This is certainly also due to the good bathing facilities (shallow water on the shore, deep water for jumping from the bathing jetty). The site is (in our opinion) inexpensive and uncomplicated (e.g. no WW shower tokens or similar), also in a quiet location (the through road is on the other side of the lake) and ideally suited as a starting point for hikes directly from the site or in the Karawanken (approx. 1/2 hour drive by car). There are also many cycle paths in the surrounding area (Klagenfurt, Lake Wörth).Automaticky preložené.

The power distribution boxes are also a little tight - resulting in a tangle of cables.Pretty and quiet place away from the tourist hustle and bustleThorsten-785 has already described many things accurately in his review - we were there at the same time and felt the same way. Nevertheless, I would like to make a few additions: The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling - we went to Velden and Klagenfurt twice by bike. I was surprised how... bike-friendly Klagenfurt is. There is also a bus connection in both directions - however, the fares were very high for our taste and the frequency was rather poor. There is also a small bakery in town for shopping, which is always busy - we liked the baked goods there better. There isn't much choice in terms of food within walking distance - you can also eat in a small restaurant on site - but we weren't really impressed. The lake and the bathing spots at the campsite are a dream - I have rarely enjoyed being in the water so much and so often. The sanitary facilities were at capacity when the campsite was full. The cleanliness also left something to be desired at times - but overall it was acceptable. The supply and disposal station for camper vans was unfortunately set up in an unfavorable location - namely at the highest point of the driveway, right at the edge next to an embankment. This makes it somewhat difficult to discharge the gray water. Fresh water taps did not work in our case - but there was an alternative. Overall value for money: good.Automaticky preložené.
- Thorsten Z.August 2015PozitívneVery quiet small campsiteNegatívneDepending on the location of the pitches, rain can lead to a lot of waterlogging, which does not seep away immediately.On the whole a nice campsite, if the weather is right.As this is our first review, we will try to describe it in detail. 1. first of all, the four-lake landscape of Keutschach is a dream! Mountains all around, no large hotel complexes all around and a beautiful path around the lake. There are plenty of excursion destinations, it is impossible to see everything... in 2 weeks. You get a very friendly welcome, and it is possible to choose your own pitch. The campsite itself is located on a sloping site, in heavy rain it can quickly lead to the pitches being under water! The location in the first row is great, with a view of the lake and sunset. Unfortunately, the pitches are not exactly the largest, you have to look carefully for caravans with a total length of more than 7m. Depending on the pitch, you may need a longer cable for the power supply, we needed 30m. Unfortunately, you can only get water in the wash house, there are no other taps on the pitch. There is a supply and disposal point for motorhomes, which is easy to reach. In the village itself, about 1km away, there is a supermarket, bread rolls can be pre-ordered in the restaurant on site. We were there with two dogs, the dogs are not allowed on the site itself at the lake, but there are two bathing possibilities nearby. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the forest around the campsite. There is a dog shower at the wash house. You are sometimes surrounded by friendly permanent campers, who are all very nice and helpful.Automaticky preložené.

Twice a week a peasant came to the camp with lots of vegetables, meat, sausages, home made cakes and other food.
