The power supply and pitches have probably been upgraded since the last reviews here. You stand on gravel pitches with grass in front of the door. Electricity is available directly at the pitch.

Sanitary facilities simple but clean. The power supply is a bit extensive, you need a lot of cable and it can happen that other campers drive over and onto the cable. However, there is a large Lidl supermarket directly in front of the site, which even has fresh bread and rolls on Sundays. You stand in the meadow here, which can lead to wet feet when it rains. The rain forms puddles and unfortunately drains badly. The sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned daily around lunchtime. The doors are secured... with a code lock as the site is not fenced. You can see the sea, the Orkney Islands and the Dunnt Head lighthouse (the most northerly point in Scotland) from every part of the campsite. There is a restaurant/café on the campsite. Unfortunately, meal times are limited. The town center can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. There are a few stores there, but they close early. There is a large supermarket across the road from the campsite. You can get everything you need here. The ferry to the islands is only a few minutes away. The town itself is not particularly attractive, although it does have a small pedestrian area. Nice view over the bay. Decent sanitary facilities. Restaurant on the pitch. New, large discount store in... the immediate vicinity with - if you come from the loneliness of the north - disturbingly low prices and a huge selection.
