"Summer vacation 2023 - In the middle of summer, when all the other campsites around were more than full, we were able to get a pitch here with our camper without any complications. We were able to find our own pitch on the meadow and even if we had needed electricity, it would have been made possible somehow. The operators are super friendly, make everything possible, even remind you that you might want bread rolls the next morning... ;-) All in all, definitely the better alternative to the pitches on the other side of the lake.

"What a place! - I have rarely been welcomed so warmly! We were here with the Eriba and 2 children. The Dutch operator is extremely friendly. The location directly on the lake in Terrassen is fantastic. You stand on the meadow by the lake and look out over Leksand church. The bathing area is a dream and when you leave the water you can see the beautiful wooden rental accommodation. The place is not too big, but it is pleasantly lively due to the constant flow of tourists. It's easy to strike up a conversation because the atmosphere is so inviting. Simply great! We will definitely be staying here again.

"Really nice and very friendly - Spent one night here and have to say the place is very nice. English, German and Dutch are spoken and everything is very clean. The site is modern and everyone can find a nice spot for themselves. I will definitely be back.

"Lovingly cared for and beautiful place on the Siljan - After 27 years we were back at Västanviks Badet. A new operator and he has made a lot of positive changes. A very nice site with very different pitches. Terraces, meadows, right by the lake or a little further away. Something for everyone. Beware, the slope from the pitches down by the lake is not without problems. Vehicle with traction required. Sanitary a bit older but very clean. The site operator was super friendly. We'd love to come back, even faster this time. An absolute recommendation.

"Beautiful small campsite on Lake Siljan - A small campsite in this region is the exception rather than the rule and is therefore highly recommended. It's also right on the lake with a great view. There is a road above the campsite, but it didn't bother us - it was absolutely quiet at night! The sanitary buildings are new! The campsite management is very friendly and helpful. The region offers plenty of things to do around Lake Siljan

VästanviksbadetsCamping Leksand is located in the hart off the beautiful district Dalarna. The camping place lies direct at the popular Lake Siljan and we have our own beach and swimming place. Leksand and their surroundings give you a lot of …possibilities for an active and unforgettable holiday. Västanviksbadet has always been a swimming area even before it became a camping. In 1946 Västanviksbadet became a nice and cosy family camping. Since long a place where many guests like to return for their holidays. It is a place where many people come to, to relax and enjoy the nice surrounding with old fashion typical Swedish houses in Dalarna style. The camping lies about 4 kilometres outside of Leksand on the west side of Lake Siljan at the road to Siljansnäs and has an area of 10 acres. The camping is good situated to make many day trips around the lake. There is so much to see and explore that a few days stay is a must! Eye catching are the old Swedish timbered cottages. All 12 cottages are for rent. Did you ever think of sleeping in an about 300 years old cottage? Yes, they exist on this camping. Almost every building on this campground has a unique history and we hope to continue preserve this environment. So if you want to go back in time, enjoy and relax you have come to the right place. Soon you will not want to go back to the stress of today!

From Borlänge: Follow the RV 70 to Mora. After Leksands information stop and resting area, take the first exit to the left: Leksand S. Follow the road signs to “Siljansnäs/Sölleron”. The camping lies 4 kilometres west from Leksand on the …road to Siljansnäs. From Mora: Follow the RV 70 to Borlänge. Take the first exit to the right “Leksand Centrum” directly after the Statoil petrol station. Drive through town over the bridge and follow the road signs “Siljansnäs/Sölleron”. Or: On the RV 70 take the exit “Leksand S” and follow the road signs to “Siljansnäs/Sölleron”. The camping lies 4 kilometres west from Leksand on the road to Siljansnäs.
