"Simply beautiful - The journey was less complicated than we initially thought and we met a very friendly reception staff, who calmly answered all our questions and actively tried to solve any problems. This remained the case throughout our stay. The staff came by to solve the problem of a new gas bottle, lovingly organized a birthday cake and when it got muddy in front of our caravan after many rainy days, sand was piled up and paving slabs were laid. The view of the surrounding mountains with Preci nestled in them is simply beautiful. It's about 70 minutes to Castellucchio (via Norcia) due to the road closures, but it's worth it. Despite the large complex, everything is quiet and pleasant. The complex itself was well maintained in the low season, although many parts were not in use. The sanitary block we used was always clean and contained children's washbasins/toilets and a separate family bathroom. The fact that there is no toilet paper or hand soap takes some getting used to and should at least be known in advance. The playground is rather poor and the next investment could be made here. But we didn't really miss it. Washing machine is okay, dryer dries for 4€ too little and can be saved. The restaurant is very good and you can order bread and milk here every morning. The W-Lan is available at a fair price and proved to be efficient for us. All in all, a great campsite with minor weaknesses, but these are outshone by the rest.

"One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited - We felt very comfortable as soon as we arrived and were very impressed by the beautiful location and the spacious and cozy campsite. There are two pools, one of which is great for swimming laps. You can play tennis, go on various hikes and have a good time in the restaurant in the evening. Everything we tried was excellent and the prices are also very reasonable. We will definitely go here again.

"Wonderful location - pure nature - Beautifully situated site on a hill with a view of Monte Sibillini. The terrain is beautifully terraced, the pitches are large enough and well serviced. Depending on your choice of pitch, you may have to climb a few steps to reach the main building or the sanitary facilities. Very nice pool at the main building with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. Good restaurant in the main building, highly recommended. The sanitary facilities directly below the main building are rather basic and a bit outdated. The others should be more modern. For the approach to the site via the village of Castelvecchio, the southern road coming from Preci is highly recommended. Very narrow and steep roads are to be expected. The region was close to the epicenter of the 2016 earthquake and many of the surrounding villages and towns are either completely or partially closed. Shopping opportunities are therefore limited. Another tip: be sure to visit Nonna Stella's restaurant in the village of Castelvecchio!

"Great location - We stayed one night and were very satisfied. The only reason we left straight away was because the local situation meant there were few mountain roads open to reach hiking destinations. We would have liked to stay longer because everything on the site was just right. We will definitely be back.

"Great campsite - I stayed at this campsite in June 2016 - for camping - and was delighted. Quiet location in beautiful countryside, friendly staff, good sanitary facilities. Soccer fans could watch the World Cup matches in the TV room. Good location for hikes in the Sibillini Mountains, although the respective starting points must of course be reached by car.

The Collaccio is 160 km from Rome, 320 from Bologna, 130 from Ancona, 90 from Perugia, 40 from Spoleto, 18 from Norcia and 1.746 from London.The real problem is to …leave off. Due to a permanent traffic block on the road SP 209 from Visso to Preci, in order to reach Il Collaccio coming from the North Italy and Adriatic coast, please follow direction Foligno - Spoleto and Preci.
