"Lousy - We stayed here for 1 night and it was a horror. We called in advance and were told the place costs 45 euros but we paid 54 and arrived so late that we took the place anyway. The driveway is extremely steep in the rain with the caravan dangerous with 16% gradient. The pitch was filthy and the showers were dirty and partly broken. The pizzas sucked the first one was burnt I didn't take it the 2nd pizza was half done and there was a lump of cheese in the middle and the ham was only on one side and not salted. The waitress smirked when serving the pizza and even took a taste of the black burnt blister from the old pizza and said i Like theese so we were really screwed. There was even an argument when we paid because we had to pay for one of the 2 pizzas even though I didn't eat it. Never again on this disgusting mountain campsite Also the advertising you can see over the whole of Florence is not true because huge trees obscure the view. The staff are totally unfriendly !!! 😡

"Very difficult approach - After 10 km across Florence, you drive through a mountain village with very narrow roads. The last 500 meters are so steeply uphill that we almost didn't make it up with our Skoda with 176 HP and a Fendt 445. The pitch with a view that we had requested when we made our reservation was only given to us after we complained on the 2nd day. The sanitary facilities are clean but old, cold, musty and sometimes there's only cold water. The restaurant and supermarket were not open. After a 30 minute walk you can get everything in the village.

"Great location, mediocre condition, challenging access - Just outside Florence in the small town of Fiesole. Great views of Florence from there in some places. The site is partly terraced. We got a pitch in the lower area. The path to the pitch is extremely steep for a caravan. If you want to go back up, you have to make sure you don't come to a standstill. Starting off again on this steep path would be impossible and would cause the clutch to burn out. I sent my son ahead of me so that no one would drive down the path at the same time and I could get up the path in one go. The sanitary facilities are quite outdated. PS: We were there in the high season, as we were dependent on school vacations. You have to realize that Florence and the area is extremely crowded then.

"Great view - This site is recommended because of its great view of Florence. However, the access road is a bit steep and winding. Overall, the site and the sanitary facilities in particular would benefit from renovation. They are a bit outdated, but clean. You can take a shuttle bus from the campsite to the bus stop in Fiesole and then take the city bus down the winding road to Florence. There are always beautiful views of the city. You can also walk from the campsite to the bus stop along a beautiful panoramic path, which takes about 25 minutes. We received a very friendly welcome in German at reception.

"Fantastic location but a bit outdated - After a steep driveway, which can be quite a challenge with a long trailer, a fantastic view of Florence awaits. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and unfortunately quite dirty.

"Stopover at Camping Fiesole in July 2019 - On our trip to Sardinia, we chose Camping Village-Panoramico-Fiesole as a stopover to explore Florence for a day. The promised panoramic view of Florence from the pool had enticed us and so we drove to the campsite without a reservation or prior request. We received a friendly welcome at reception. There were plenty of pitches available, but the price made us swallow a little. 66 euros per night for a camper van, two adults and two children. Our record so far! This site really pays well for its brilliant location. The question is, is it really worth the price? It's really difficult to give a uniform answer here. The sanitary facilities are quite old, but super clean. The friendliness was very pleasant. After we first communicated in English at reception (as is usually the case), they immediately switched to German when they realized where we were from. The terraced pitches are interesting and offer plenty of space. The highlight is definitely the pool with a view of Florence. Unfortunately, Italy's swimming cap requirement also applies here. I would say that a good 50 percent of Italian campsite and pool operators still adhere to this. Unfortunately, this is still the case here. Otherwise, the pool, with the restaurant right next to it, had a fantastic flair and will remain in your memory. The transfer bus to Fiesole is also very nice. It was described in reviews that you could also walk there. We wouldn't claim to be that sporty, at least not at 34 degrees in the blazing sun. In addition, the roads are narrow and already very busy, so the walk would certainly not be a pleasure. There is a bus from Fiesole to Florence and back every 20 minutes or so. We paid a flat rate of €2.50 per person and it took us just under 20 minutes to get to the center of Florence. Of course, one day in Florence is simply not enough. We knew that beforehand, but it was only meant to be a taster and so the campsite in Fiesole with the transfer was a really good choice. You have to be aware that you have to dig a little deeper into your pockets, but in relation to hotel prices in Florence, it's probably the cheaper option ;)
