The children's entertainment is great. We also really like the CP app with lots of useful information. There is always a cleaner in the wash house. We thought the price was ok for what was on offer, but it shouldn't be any more than that.

Garbage, garbage and dog excrement everywhere! Outdated but clean wash houses Rather unkempt overall, but you hardly see any staff.
Price performance is okey.
We spent our summer vacation there with our 3 children in the best weather. We had a comfort pitch (C130) with all media directly at the pitch including 16A and despite intensive use we didn't even blow a fuse. The Wi-Fi was also sufficient for streaming. The pitch as such was flat, located on a slope,... but unfortunately very dirty, just like the rest of the site, there was garbage everywhere, from small plastic snippets to larger items such as barrier tape or other things. There is also a lot of dog excrement, despite sufficient poop bag dispensers in various corners, so it's not just down to the campsite, but often also the dog owners. There is a great (mostly free) children's entertainment program, which can also be accessed at any time via the equally great app, which contains many other useful functions. The wash houses are of a simple standard, sometimes in need of an overhaul, but during our stay they were permanently manned by at least one cleaner, sometimes more and sometimes less motivated, so that the toilets were actually always clean.
There is a large swimming lake which is currently very well stocked, but unfortunately, like the rest of the grounds, is in a very unkempt state. There is another toddler bathing pond or rather pond (the children go in clean and come out covered in green), great idea actually, but unfortunately also not maintained and is also often misused as a dog bathing pond.
I think the campsite is run by a Dutchman, so it feels like 70% of the guests are Dutch. This is basically not a problem, but the orientation of the clientele is also rather Dutch.
Our impression is that the place is currently undergoing a transformation; you can see that a change is taking place in every nook and cranny. However, there is still a long way to go and more staff are needed to maintain what has been created.

Great campsite
I can only partially understand the negative impressions of the previous reviews. The campsite is super large, spacious pitches and the sanitary facilities are not the newest but always clean and there is no crowding (even when it is full on public holidays). This is the fourth time we have been here... with our small children and we have always been satisfied.
The staff (especially Carsten at reception) are very helpful and accommodating.
The entertainment for children is in Dutch and German. The two lakes are clean and the white sand is perfect for swimming.
The grass on the whole site has unfortunately suffered from the heat but we know it's super green here too.
The store has everything you need. Even if you're missing something for the barbecue, you can quickly get something there.
And even if you don't get bread rolls until 10 a.m., you can still get enough without having to order in advance.

(Even if it is unhealthy, cigarettes in the range would be a small suggestion for improvement)

Unfortunately, we were less impressed by the Pazzi restaurant. The prices were quite exorbitant. The staff were already overwhelmed with few guests.

Restaurant if open then totally overpriced. Information flow more than poor due to lack of competence! If you like animation you should ask at the reception several times a day as there is no information via other channels.
Big but still a lot to do!
The campsite is large and, above all, spacious. In many places the site is dominated by seasonal campers. Unfortunately, the store is more of an anteroom to the reception with an extremely poor range. Anyone who forgets to order bread rolls is left out in the cold!
The sanitary facilities are OK but... nothing more. However, it could become problematic if more campers come to the site.
The restaurant was open a week before Easter and then had to close for 2 weeks so that the staff could regenerate ;-) ! The prices in this restaurant were massively higher than stated online!!!!
I'm not the biggest animation fan but if something is offered it should be publicized. Even at reception this was a problem. What a pity!
Oh yes, there was also the subject of fishing. I'll refrain from making any comments here!

Beautiful place with potential
We were looking for a child-friendly campsite with animation or sufficient children's activities within Lower Saxony (due to corona)

The reception was very easy to find and friendly.

The store was a bit small. The most necessary things were available, but it closed at the same time as the reception... at 7 pm.

Our pitch was spacious with a small play tower in the middle (this should be renewed and enlarged)
This meant that our children were able to connect immediately and we could set up in peace.

There was always entertainment at 10am, 1pm and 7pm. Animation.
Our 6-year-old son was very happy and very busy and took part in many activities (handicrafts, building huts in the forest, laser game, stop dancing, geocaching, campfire with marshmallows, cinema on the beach with juice and popcorn (a German movie with Dutch subtitles was shown), talent show, small musical, where some children were allowed to play as extras. Etc.
The entertainers made a great effort, that was the best thing about the whole vacation. They were Dutch, but the children understood them well and they also spoke enough German.

The restaurant/bar was unfortunately understaffed.
The waiting times were too long.
You could tell that they were untrained staff. The service was slow and the dishes were cleared slowly or not at all.

The food and cocktails were good though.

The view of the lake was very nice and the children could still play on the bouncy pudding during this time.
This was a must every day.
There was also live music for the adults. From a very good duo.

There was a hygiene concept that almost nobody adhered to.
The sanitary facilities were cleaned too rarely for the number of pitches.
But it was also a shame that many people simply misbehaved. And the rain did the rest.
Paper and soap were often brought in. (and unfortunately a lot was spread on the ground :-(

As our children had a lot of fun, we would definitely come again.

Disgusting sanitary facilities. Not enough showers, toilets, toilet paper, soap and towels. Huge potholes. If you love your rims, this is not for you. There are NO washbasins at the drains for the camping toilets. Not even disinfectant. If you clean the camping toilet while they are cleaning it, you are in a bad position to wash your hands. The toilets at the front of the animation leave a lot to be desired. Two out of three toilets cannot be locked. There is no washbasin! People walk into the store without masks and nobody says anything. Animation in Dutch. Showers where you don't want to take off your flip-flops.
Beautiful terrain poorly implemented
Expected a lot, but got nothing except a nice place. The pitch itself is nice and spacious. But too many campers for too few toilets etc. Garbage is left lying around. Definitely worthy of a maximum of 3 stars for us.

- Old, disgusting sanitary blocks In some cabins the flush did not work. Toilet paper and towels were often not available, even after the supposed cleaning which was apparently only done once a day. per day. This is too little for the amount of people on the pitch. Soap is also in short supply. Especially in these corona times, the operators should make sure that toilet paper, soap and towels are available!!! The water didn't drain in the shower. Within 2 minutes we were standing completely in the water and it ran out into the entire room. - Children's entertainment takes place all day, but in Dutch. The campsite is about 10 kilometers from the Dutch border. The children would have liked to take part, but there was little point and no fun in the language. - There are houses on the lake itself, but there are no sanitary facilities. There was only one door open with a lot of bulky waste and large blue barrels, which is very dangerous for curious children.

The site as such is in a wonderful location, the grounds are huge and there are pitches for every requirement. The pitches were large and adequate and conveniently located to the nearest sanitary block. The lake is not a huge swimming paradise, but it's great for cooling off and refreshing yourself. All in all, a site with a lot of potential. In any case, our son is still raving about the delicious milk/caramel ice cream

The description of the place on the Internet should be relativized/corrected. Describing the store as a small store is questionable, every kiosk here has a larger range of goods. And if you are 4 kilometers away from the nearest shop, this is relevant information. There are enough sanitary blocks, but their use is limited. The water temperature varies greatly depending on the users, which is not a problem if the water is too cold. But too hot is problematic. Furthermore, nowadays, and especially now, it is incomprehensible why toilet seat cleaners are not available everywhere in the toilets, and if they are, they are often empty. I would have expected this as standard, based on my experience with Dutch places. Also, following the Dutch model, I don't understand the cleaning methods of the sanitary blocks. Every area is equipped with floor drains and the cleaning team use brooms and mops. How is this supposed to get thoroughly clean, especially as the lake and the forest floor cause sand and mud to accumulate? The catering area could also be improved. It starts with the menu, which doesn't necessarily need to be bigger, but should be much better sorted. So that there is something suitable for everyone. And, as a place located in Germany, it should also be oriented a little towards German dishes. The staff always try to do their best, but are unable to do so due to poor, or rather invisible, organization of the processes. This is not because they often work with temporary staff, as is the case on all campsites, but because of the lack of organization. If on one evening, with around 80 guests, 5 service staff are serving all the tables at the same time, taking orders or cashing up, then this is wasted time and energy for the staff, confusing and tedious for the guest and ultimately unsatisfactory for everyone. The fact that some of the play equipment, climbing park and swimming equipment is dilapidated, broken or no longer safe is a shame, but it can be fixed quickly and would make the site even more attractive for families. All in all, the square is beautiful and the shortcomings described, in my opinion, could be quickly remedied with a revision of the individual organizations and would make the square much more attractive.
Nice, but a lot of changes are necessary
All in all, the site is very nicely located, the pitches are large and laid out in such a way that everyone can choose according to their needs. The site is very large, so the individual areas are also very different. Small secluded corners, larger meadows and completely open areas.
We'll definitely be back again.

Short vacation in Corona times
Due to the Corona situation, we spontaneously decided to spend a long weekend at this campsite.
Basically, the description of the operator is correct and the negative reviews are probably actually due to the "old" operator.
The site is well-kept and natural, the pitches are very spacious compared to... other campsites, the sanitary facilities are thoroughly cleaned and some areas have already been modernized.
We didn't notice anything extremely negative, it was more about the little things.

- In our sanitary building there was no light in the washrooms and showers, apparently something with the electrics. The problem was not rectified during our time slot, but as a "good" camper you can also bring your own light.

- The sports facilities are not (yet) usable, the soccer pitch is on paving stones and the tennis court has had its best days.

- The paths to the pitches are a bit narrow, so it can be a bit tricky when there is oncoming traffic with caravans.

- The climbing park is partly dilapidated and I wouldn't leave my kids alone on it

- The large slide should be used with a board or air cushion, otherwise the transitions between the individual components are a bit painful.

These things didn't bother me too much, I think they will gradually be replaced in the coming years. You can definitely tell that the operator is motivated to renovate the course.

We will visit the site again in a few years!

Large space with huge potential
We were there for the Ascension weekend and it was shortly after the opening (due to Corona). All in all it was a nice stay, some information about the lack of utilities on site would have been helpful, overall the reception was not very friendly. The beach was freshly groomed and the lake was good for swimming.

The 2nd time here and everything OK .
If people are missing something you can ask. Do not write Toilet paper is missing . BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF CHEATING BY OTHER CAMPERS . Otherwise there is a lot of WASTE made by other CAMPERS here . We were very satisfied here .

Great vacation
This is the second time we have stayed here. We cannot share the negative reviews, they probably date from the time of the takeover by the new owner. The pitch is large and spacious, no crowding of caravans next to caravans. The sanitary facilities are available in sufficient numbers and are cleaned... regularly. The pitch itself too. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bread rolls are brought to the campsite in the morning if ordered in advance. There is entertainment for children and teenagers. The lake with its sandy beach is ideal for swimming.

The water in the showers is too cold and in the family shower much too hot so you have to be careful with the kids.
The bistro staff was very unfriendly and the toilets were not clean
The sanitary facilities are poorly cleaned, they are clean, but the water in the showers cannot be adjusted. The washroom for the very little ones is not heated and there are no plugs so that you can bathe the kids, not even for washing up.

The campsite is now divided into 2 pitches. Some things are being changed, such as log cabins being built. Unfortunately, everything here is geared towards Dutch vacationers. The entertainment doesn't even speak German although the campsite is in Germany. Not even everything is open during the German... vacations. The water slide doesn't work for the 3rd year in a row. The gastronomy can't even call itself that. The food is Tk goods and the kiosk has hardly anything on offer. A few things could be improved but apparently they don't need to. Then the arrangements are more expensive than the normal pitch price. 95% Dutch only

We were on the site with two caravans over Easter. The site is beautifully laid out and certainly offers a lot for families with small children in the summer months. However, we will definitely not be visiting the site again in the low season. Negative: Sanitary facilities mostly clean but spartanly... equipped, no toilet paper (here you still walk across the square with the toilet paper roll, sanitary house was not heated, water temperature predetermined when showering, satellite system almost only Dutch channels, when we asked the operator about this, these shortcomings were dismissed rather arrogantly. Never again!!!!!
