Ideal base for exploring the beauty of Tuscany, including Arezzo, Siena and Florence. The negative highlight was the sanitary facilities. For a club of this size, there should always be a cleaner in the sanitary facilities. In addition to the dirt in the toilets and showers, there were also problems... with leaking toilets and showers (stench). Unfortunately, nothing was done here. I don't want to criticize the noise level on the pitch, as this was clear from the outset. Access to the pitches with caravans is difficult without damaging the vehicle (was not the only one), with caravans over 7.50 meters on the panorama pitches.

We were last guests of CP Norcenni at Easter 2017 and were not satisfied then. We have known the Norenni since 1999 and have visited twelve times. A lot has changed since our last visit in 2017. The access road was successfully redesigned, the old reception was rebuilt and the bazaar was housed in it.... Unfortunately, I noticed that the press and book corner that was there in the past has been removed without replacement, which is a real shame. The old supermarket has been rebuilt and there are now several food stalls there. In 2017, we were not satisfied with the cleanliness and quality of the sanitary facilities. Now in May 2022 the sanitary facilities are clean, they were cleaned several times a day but also the quality of the sanitary facilities is fine, not only have the shower fittings been replaced but there are no more dripping taps and the water drains well everywhere. There are plenty of washing machines and tumble dryers. The CP has changed for the better. The staff were friendly and courteous. The supermarket has a good range, unfortunately the fresh food counter was not yet open in May 2022, so you had to make do with packaged meat, sausages and cheese. The calzone in the restaurant "Il Girasole" once again tasted excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't find a dog shower, but one should be installed again. We will definitely be back.

In August 2018 we (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed at this "campsite" for 2 weeks with a caravan. This very large "campsite" is characterized by mobile homes and glamping, so the camping feeling is lost. As the site is mainly populated by Dutch and British people, it is adapted to this (entertainment,... communication with staff, food). The site is centrally located in Tuscany and is therefore a good starting point for excursions and bike tours. The general cleanliness is good, but the sanitary facilities are outdated. We had the impression that certain mobile home vacationers did not want to accept the camper pitches because they were used as playgrounds for their children. As this campsite is now just a mobile home village, it is no longer an option for us.

We stayed at the Norcenni Girasole Club for 17 days in August 2018. The complex itself is very well laid out but relatively large. The mobile homes predominate. Pitches for caravans and motorhomes are in the minority and so we missed the "campsite flair". Within the complex you can get everything you... need for your daily needs at affordable prices. The restaurants are of good quality. The two pool areas are well laid out and very varied. So there is something for everyone. The resort is located in the middle of Tuscany and is therefore a great center for various excursions to great small towns and the beautiful Tuscan countryside. However, the resort is completely in Dutch hands (approx. 70%) and there are also approx. 20% Brits. The rest is divided between Italians, French and Germans. The entertainment program is also designed accordingly. Dutch and Italian entertainers and accordingly our children hardly found any German-speaking vacation friends. Our daughter hardly took part in the mini club because only 2-3 entertainers spoke broken German. The entertainment program was otherwise very varied and diverse. The sanitary facilities in our area were outdated and not the cleanest by German standards, but still okay. However, there are modern and better sanitary facilities in other areas. The staff are friendly and helpful, but you need reasonably good English to communicate. Even with the staff who could speak German according to their name tags, I found it easier to communicate in English. This made communication much easier. Conclusion: If you want to go on a camping and beach vacation with German children up to the age of 17 with entertainment, you should avoid this campsite or live with the circumstances. All in all, it was a good vacation, but we've had better ones.

Very nice campsite
We were there in May 2018 in some very bad weather and (nevertheless) felt very comfortable. Although there is indeed a lot of rental accommodation, we didn't find that the camping feeling suffered as a result. The advantage is that all the facilities were open, even though it was still early in the... season. All the restaurants we visited had very tasty food at good prices. The supermarket is very well stocked and has reasonable prices. The staff were always friendly. The pitches are large and some have water and waste water connections. The site is beautifully landscaped with lots of flowers. The pools are also great with plenty of sun loungers. Very reasonably priced in the low season. The only criticism: the sanitary facilities are outdated, clean but old. The water in the ladies' showers was usually only lukewarm (the men's was better). You can go on beautiful hikes, there are many small towns nearby and Florence and Siena are also easy to reach.

On our big trip to Italy, we stayed at the campsite in Tuscany at the beginning of May and end of June. However, the site is not so much a campsite as a village (almost a town) of mobile homes and vacation apartments. The pitches (the few there are) are beautiful and well maintained. However, we missed... the campsite flair - the crowd was simply different. The infrastructure is excellent, as is the organization. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Everything you need is available (although not cheap). Various restaurants, supermarkets, bakery, fish store, ice cream, bars, cafes, stores etc. The restaurants are definitely recommended. The pools are fantastic. Beautifully embedded in the landscape, well thought out and especially wonderful for children. The sanitary facilities are always clean and nicely done, but the showers were only cold to lukewarm during both stays. Basically, as a camper, you have to say that this site has little to do with a conventional campsite, the "flair" is missing and was a bit annoying.

A dream vacation
We were there for 1 week for the first time in 2017 in a mobile home. For us it was an absolutely successful vacation with a 10 year old child. The complex is beautiful, clean and the staff very friendly. Everyone speaks English and the food is excellent. You can get everything you need at reasonable... prices in the supermarket on site. And we liked it so much that we will spend the entire Whitsun vacation there this year and then also take part in one or two excursions

Friendliness in the two named restaurants
Simply the almost perfect vacation
We were there for 11 days during the 2017 Whitsun vacation and we will definitely be back! We rented a holiday apartment on the site. The campsite offers everything you need. The food in all the restaurants is excellent. Only in the Il Vecchio restaurant and in Sant'Andrea in the upper part of the campsite... did the friendliness of the "usher" leave a lot to be desired. But the food was excellent everywhere. The pool areas in both the upper and lower sections are simply second to none, which is to say excellent! Basically, you don't need a car as you can get everything in the two supermarkets; a little more expensive than in a normal supermarket, but not overpriced! Every employee, even those with "simpler" jobs speak English! There is something like a travel agency where you can book many day trips at affordable prices; for example, we went to Rome for a day for just over €50 per adult, including a guided tour! All in all, a more than successful vacation and as mentioned at the beginning: we will be back!

Space for a visit to Florence
Large site, but the mobile homes predominate. The pitches are very small, or at extra cost. Sanitary blocks are getting on in years. Cleaning is also available? Full supply on the site, but fresh water is a problem. There are hardly any taps, where does the waste water go? . It's really good that the campsite organizes buses to Florence. We were also in Florence with it - good decision! Parking spaces in Florence are expensive and hard to find.

Addendum to the last review from 2016. This year we were guests at CP Norcenni for ten days from Holy Saturday. We have the impression that Norcenni has changed its cleaning concept for the sanitary facilities. The sanitary facilities were cleaned early in the morning. In the past, the sanitary facilities... were cleaner as they were cleaned several times a day. Over the winter, the Girasole restaurant was given a general overhaul and the Central bar was completely redesigned. Although these investments were successful, the redesign of the sanitary facilities would have been much more important to us. Unfortunately, we discovered that the residents of the mobile homes are apparently allowed to park their cars on free parking spaces, or at least it is tolerated. Our usher informed us that our car also had to be parked on our pitch. Our impression is that the number of pitches for traditional camping is decreasing. There is no dog shower, as stated on the Camping.Info website! You can shower your dog with a hose at the camper service facility. The camper service station for motorhomes is right next to a parking lot, so it can be problematic to access it. We will look for a different campsite for our next vacation in Tuscany. Review May 2016: A lot has changed since our last stay in September 2014! Not only has the reception been relocated and redesigned, but safari tents can now also be rented. In the meantime, new mobile homes have been set up on the part of the site that was unused in September 2014, the paths have been repaved and the garden has been redesigned. Many paths have been repaved across the entire site, a number of pitches have been resurfaced and older trees have been cut back. For me as a classic camper, in addition to the general site design, it is of course important that the sanitary facilities have excellent facilities and are clean. A lot has been done here. In all the sanitary buildings, the water in the washbasins now runs off without any problems. The fittings in the showers have been replaced so that the water jet has a good strength. The sanitary facilities were always clean and were cleaned several times a day. Although the campsite had only been open for a short time, the supermarket shelves were already fully stocked. All the restaurants were open. The excellent quality of the food needs no further description. As usual, the wine shop was excellently stocked. There is no need to say more about the friendliness of the staff, it is simply unparalleled. Of course our dog was not allowed in the supermarket, but there were no problems taking our dog into the restaurants. We went for breakfast for the first time in the "Il Vecchio" restaurant. It was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Terraced campsite in Tuscany
The campsite is situated on a hill, so you may have to climb a few meters to get to your pitch. There are 2 pool areas, one at the top of the hill and one below by the plaza, where the entertainment also takes place. There is a wide range of activities on offer, there were lots of teenagers at the camp,... so I think older children will also find something fun to do. The entertainment is the best I have seen so far and we have been to many campsites. Overall, I found the huge site very well maintained. In the high season, the sun loungers by the pool are a bit cramped, but we always found a spot for ourselves. At the upper pool you were only allowed to slide with a tire, of which there was of course a selection to buy in the well-stocked store ;-) The food in the restaurants was very good and especially from the upper restaurant (Ristorante Sant'Andrea?) you had a wonderful view and could enjoy the beautiful sunset in the evening, so be sure to make a reservation on the terrace in the evening.

Huge camping park in need of renovation
The Girosole Club often receives high ratings, including 5 stars from the ADAC. I can't understand that. The place is certainly great for a midsummer vacation if you have small children with you. There is a lot on offer for them, a large climbing garden, pools, disco etc. When we were there, there were... also a few youth groups in the rental accommodation. The sanitary facilities are no longer up to date. I would estimate that the last renovation was 20 years ago. The temperature of the showers can't be adjusted properly and the automatic taps at many hand basins are faulty. While touchless proximity technology is the state of the art, you still have to press them mechanically and after 10 seconds the push-button comes back. Soap and paper towels or a hand dryer were not available. No storage facilities or clothes hooks for changing. I therefore give the sanitary area 2 points.

A dream vacation for families with children
Unfortunately we no longer have small children, so we felt a bit out of place. The swimming pools were totally overcrowded. The restaurants, on the other hand, are great, fresh, delicious food at a good price. The range of leisure activities is huge, the site's own bus takes you to Florence, Rome, Siena... etc. at a bargain price. The Chianti region is right next door, and everything is on offer from a culinary point of view. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and very clean. At our time of travel almost exclusively occupied by Dutch people.

Great stopover on the journey south
Second stopover at the well-equipped campsite of the "Elite Club Vacanze" chain, which is close to the autostrada. The new reception building is impressive, but unfortunately you don't have such an amazing panoramic view of the beautiful landscape as the staff here have at the campsite. The briefing... was in perfect German, the staff are "multilingual". Unfortunately, the agreed shady spot was sunny after all. The pitches (gravel and some grass) for caravans and motorhomes are separated by hedges and are located in two terraces on the main Cp road; for longer stays there is another terrain below the sanitary building (120 pitches in total). The sanitary building is actually quite luxuriously planned, but they don't really take care of it, which is a shame: the water from the washbasin tap has excess pressure and splashes like on the last visit, 2 of the 3 hairdryers are broken, the dishwater is only lukewarm and there are no draining racks. x-x-x Due to the location, most guests are here for the culture and visit the surrounding Tuscan cities of Florence (daily bus) or Siena, there is also a bus to Rome (42€). Most visitors spend the night in the hundreds of mobile homes, very often school groups, of course. They and young children have great fun in the six pools, although one pool complex is high up on the mountain, so once you're up there you need some peace and quiet. There is also a large games program for 6 to 11-year-olds, and plenty of entertainment for the older ones too. Due to the secluded location, almost all guests stay on the grounds and in the restaurants in the evenings. Another new feature is a beautiful high-altitude climbing trail (for a fee) right next to the restaurant area. Two well-maintained tennis courts (8€/hour). There is also a riding stable and scooter rental. x-x-x Internet is free of charge, but requires time-consuming registration. However, if you have already registered for the internet at another Elite Club Vacanze CP, this is also valid here and the new registration is quick and easy. x-x-x All in all, the place is ok for us and we will definitely be back, maybe we'll take advantage of the bus tour to Florence (not on Sundays). And last but not least: the luxury brand outlet center "The Mall" is only 13 km away (Prada, Dior, Gucci, Armani, Cavalli, Moncler, MK, Tod's etc.) Despite the great outlet prices: Be careful, it can be expensive!

Top place!!!
You roll up to the entrance and from there you are guided to your pitch by motorcycle - the perfect start to your stay. This continues at the pitch - sufficiently large and easy to navigate. It continues with perfect sanitary facilities, including washing machines. My tip for excursions: take the site's... own shuttle bus to Florence and have it pick you up. This saves you the hassle of driving and looking for a parking space in Florence. We felt very comfortable and can recommend the campsite with a clear conscience.

Great value for money in the low season
We stayed at this campsite in the low season and with the ADAC discount you really get a good price for a great campsite. It offers a good starting point for visiting Chianti, Florence and Siena. The site has everything you need, it's clean and the atmosphere is very relaxed, at least in the low season. Even our small children liked it!

not an Adac Superplatz for nothing. The site is characterized by many rental accommodations. Showers and toilets are very clean. The store is very well stocked. There is also a bazaar with clothes, newspapers etc., a wine store with an Englishman as boss (wine tasting possible), and 4 restaurants. I... only know the grill restaurant, the Fiorentine steak alone is a reason to come here. There aren't that many pitches, I would guess about 100. They are very large (there are 3 categories and we were on a large one) but some are a bit remote. This means you have to go up the hill to go swimming or shopping. There are excursions to Tuscany (Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena and Rome). There is a car rental office in the village (Herz) and if you are annoying enough, the ladies at the Infopoint will take care of everything (including transportation to the village). The car is then returned at the CP. Update 2013: everything unchanged, but already relatively full with Germans, Dutch and English people in mid-June. Update 2014: still well frequented even in the off-season, full supply in stores and restaurant, very friendly welcome. A wine festival had just been celebrated.

Beautiful place to explore Tuscany
The place was packed and therefore very loud and restless, the pools are great but unfortunately not very clean. At the beginning of August 99% of the campers were Dutch. Everything was very cramped.
