"Pleasant, manageable campsite directly on Lake Maggiore - Pleasant, manageable campsite directly on Lake Maggiore. Beautiful sandy beach, clean and shallow, suitable for children. Additional pool and entertainment for the little ones. Sufficiently large pitches, easy access. Very friendly staff at reception. Pleasant atmosphere. Sanitary facilities quite basic and reasonably clean (not enough for the size of the pitch) Restaurant not recommendable; unfriendly, food was not good. Small store with the essentials. There is a small A&O supermarket nearby: very well stocked, friendly service and good prices, Feriolo is a nice little town on the lake, with a few restaurants and bars. The cycle path to the nearest towns is typically Italian: only for the brave! Boat trips to the surrounding markets and to the Borromean Islands almost daily. There is a great supermarket with agricultural products (Cooparative) and a well-stocked camping store within walking distance. Conclusion: a really recommendable CP.

"Very nice place. Always happy to return. - We received a very friendly welcome. It was easy to upgrade to the front row. We felt very comfortable on the pitch right from the start. We would love to come back. Highly recommended

"Good location - Beautifully situated campsite directly on the lake with sufficiently large pitches for caravans with awnings and cars. Only a few shady pitches near the lake. In the rear part, pitches mainly under tall trees and therefore in the shade. Directly adjacent to the village of Feriolo with a small lakeside promenade and a few restaurants. Sanitary facilities generally clean and of a normal standard, but without urinals for men. Small store on site where you can get the essentials. Fresh bread rolls are available every morning, but in the high season we always had to queue for 15-20 minutes in the morning to get them. The beach is ideal for small children to swim, as the water only gets deeper slowly, but is not very clean (seaweed, silt). Friendly ladies at the reception. At least in the high season, about 95% of the campers are from Holland, many of them with children. Children's entertainment is in Dutch. As a German or Swiss you are an outsider on the site.

"Good place but too expensive in high season - We stayed at this site for 3 days with our dog and 3 people as a stopover from Sardinia to Germany. The campsite and sanitary facilities were well maintained and clean. Despite the beach, there was a swimming pool with lifeguard and swimming caps compulsory. The beach on the lake was from the campsite, but dogs were not allowed there. At these prices a dog should be allowed on the beach or the fee for the dog should be cheaper. The main road was not too noisy except for the sirens of the many ambulances. Restaurant has some catching up to do.

"Clean, loud, without toilet paper - Nice location, clean, sanitary facilities without toilet paper, everyone walks with their own roll under their arm, pizza was only available after 18:30 on Mondays, in the first row the caravans sit on when turning in, the only thing that helps is to hang up and reverse over with a mover, all trees are radically cut back, no shade. WLAN only for one device

"Great place right on the small promenade of Feriolo - We were here for the 1st week of Pentecost. Pitch at the front by the lake😎was totally quiet. Pitches at the back were noisier due to the road, pitches in and to the left very close to nature with frogs. Delivered a top-class frog concert at night... We really liked it. Toilets and showers are cleaned several times a day. Bring your own toilet paper. But no problem, space is cheap so that's okay! Nice pool, unfortunately doesn't open until 11am but no lunch break. Ice cream mega delicious!!! Kiosk sellers in a great mood! I could just go there again!

The Orchidea campsite is located in a picturesque bay on Lake Maggiore and covers a generous area of 45,000 square metres. Surrounded by idyllic nature, the site offers a calm and relaxed atmosphere that is particularly ideal for families. The …gently sloping sandy beach is perfect for small children, while the swimming pool, with a separate adult area and a children's area with two slides and whirlpool beds, offers plenty of relaxation and fun for all ages. At just 3 km from Baveno, 7 km from Stresa, 8 km from Verbania and just 35 km from the Swiss border at Ticino, Camping Orchidea is perfectly located for exploring the Lake Maggiore area. The campsite offers spacious pitches, which are between 70 and 80 m² in size, some of which are in the shade and all of which have a 6-amp electricity supply. The pitches by the lake and in the lake area also have a direct drinking water supply. The standard pitches cover an area of 70 m², while the extra-standard pitches offer even more space at 80 m². All pitches offer lawns, parking within the grounds, full Wi-Fi coverage and a free camper service. The basic pitch price always includes 2 persons, 1 car and 1 tent or caravan or 1 camper van, as well as electricity and, where available, drinking water supply directly at the pitch, and Wi-Fi access for the entire duration of your stay. Additional fees apply for an extra parking space, a mooring for boats (buoys or pier), additional tents or bringing dogs. Culinary delights are provided by two catering outlets: the restaurant, pizzeria and bar ‘Al vecchio caneto’ and ‘Canneto on the beach’, located right on the beach. The campsite offers a wide range of entertainment during the day and evening for children aged between 4 and 12 in collaboration with ‘Sound Good Animation’. There are fitness programmes on the beach and in the swimming pool for adult guests. Entertainment is available in the high season. The Orchidea campsite combines nature, relaxation and leisure in one of the most beautiful regions of Lake Maggiore.
