- Larissa H.September 2024PositivaThe location on Lake LucerneNegativaOwner unfriendly Showers old and way from the place to the sanitary facilities very far Price ratioNot recommendedWhat an unfriendly campsite owner. The location is the only positive thing about the whole campsite.
Where do I start?
As you can't reserve a pitch in advance, we just drove there. My friend and I asked if they had any vacancies. She was very stroppy and said no. Our couple friend went back half an hour... later and luckily her husband was there. He was very friendly and let us in. Another 8 campers drove up after us. Why was there no space before? Does the woman not want to do her job? She urgently needs to learn how to be customer-friendly.
The sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. The first evening we showered at 8.45 p.m. and unfortunately only cold water came out. You pay one franc for three minutes in the shower. You also have to pay for hot water to wash up.
The hardest part was paying at the end. We were there with a tent, our friends with a camper and a huge awning. We were there for 7 nights and paid CHF 296.70 and our friends paid CHF 314.00 for 8 nights. On what grounds? When asked, the old lady became very unfriendly again. The internet only shows the price for a small tent (5CHF), then you assume that a large tent costs 10 CHF. I told her the same thing. She responded. The prices for the large tent are not on the Internet, so I can make prices as I like.
You always learn from your mistakes. No matter where, next time I'll ask for the prices beforehand.
We will definitely never book this campsite again and I cannot recommend it in any way.Automatiskt översatt. - Urs W.August 2021PositivaQuiet, small campsiteNegativaThe space available was greatly reduced by the municipalityTwice enjoyed a few relaxing daysWe spent a few very relaxing days at the campsite twice (end of August and beginning of September 2021). The location on Lake Lucerne is magnificent.
We were given a very friendly welcome and experienced a lot of goodwill and courtesy.
The bistro terrace is a popular and cozy meeting place for the campers... and residents and is lovingly and enthusiastically run. It's a place where people like to sit and chat.
All in all, we felt extremely comfortable and really enjoyed our time there.Automatiskt översatt. - Ramona F.June 2021PositivaThe view of the lake is unique and truly beautiful.NegativaYou pay extra for hot water at 1.- per 3 minutes. The sanitary facilities were only clean at first glance. (A blood stain was uncleaned on the floor for 2 days) Operators were rather unfriendly. The view of the lake brings it outThe view of the lake is what makes this place special. Large sunbathing lawn and direct access to the lake.
Lots of permanent campers, but they don't bother you. The site is very quiet.
You pay extra for hot water at 1.- per 3 minutes. Which is rather questionable given the high pitch prices.
The sanitary... facilities were only clean at first glance. (A blood stain was left uncleaned on the floor for 2 days)
The place is quiet and in 20min walk or 7min bus ride is the Schuffstation and reachable.
At first glance, everything seems very uncomplicated, but this remains at first glance.
The operators were rather unfriendly to us, although we behaved very friendly and decently. If we asked anything at reception, we were told that we were annoying and shouldn't disturb them while smoking and drinking.
We enjoyed our stay very much, but will not come back here again.Automatiskt översatt. - Paul L.May 2021PositivaThe place is in a very nice location, but!NegativaAs a camper I am not accepted, rejected, ridiculed - there is simply no space for tents, only for motorhomes and caravans.Underground receptionIt is inexplicable to me why only motorhomes and caravans are welcome there. Reservations are not possible, but the prices for tents are available on the website, and the site plan is not up to date on the website.
Apparently the management has something against tents!
Allegedly everything is reserved when asked, although reservations are not possible.
People, stay away from the site if you are traveling with a tent like a real camper!Automatiskt översatt. - Buddy J.August 2020PositivaNothing - worst experience travelling in twenty years.NegativaEverything. The most disgusting experience ever. Stayed a short time and then was shouted at to leave because we missed the reception sign.Horrendous - do not go.Horrendous experience - a hostile, abusive and harassing owner who shouted at a lady because they missed the sign for reception. Shocking. Poor campsite - very small.
- Camper01 I.July 2018PositivaBeautiful location. Very quiet. Nice site operatorNegativaShowering with tokenNice stayThe welcome was very warm and friendly. The captain of the campsite drives ahead on his scooter and shows you to your pitch. The tenants always have an open ear for your wishes. The location of the campsite is beautiful, right on the lake. Nice little bistro that invites you to linger. We spent three wonderful days and will definitely be back.Automatiskt översatt.
- Angelika T.September 2017PositivaThe location of the campsite directly on the lake.Location, location, location - 1aWe were at the campsite in the off-season (mid-September) and were almost alone on the large meadow right on the lake. The location is fantastic. Sun in the morning and sunset over the lake in the evening. The tenants of the site are super friendly and helpful. It's great to take the dog for a walk. The cable car is also within walking distance.Automatiskt översatt.
- doc b.August 2017PositivaThe location directly on the lake is really fantastic.Negativa- Only 1 sanitary facility on the site - you don't feel welcome, especially from the fixed campers - water for showers for a feeWould not visit this campsite againYou feel very watched and unwelcome, especially by the fixed campers. I've never felt so uncomfortable on a campsite before.Automatiskt översatt.
- Martin H.July 2015Price / performanceAlways the discussion about price/performance in Switzerland? Everyone in the restaurant and hotel industry complains. Even that annoys me.... But this campsite clearly exceeds my expectations. Sanitary infrastructure far too little available at an acceptable distance. Shower with hot water only for... CHF 1.- and even washing up with hot water only for CHF 1.- it's a shame for Switzerland. There are better alternatives just a few kilometers away in Morschach!Automatiskt översatt.
- gerhard l.August 2011Very nice location directly on the lake with swimming possibility; flat, unparceled tent meadow; small store; ...I'll go there again!Automatiskt översatt.
- Rosemarie S.June 2011Very nice atmosphere, clean sanitary facilities, but not enough for the number of pitches. No demarcated pitches, so you can feel cramped when it's full.Automatiskt översatt.
- Peter 5.June 2011The pitch is only equipped with the bare essentials. Showers only for a fee of 1 CHF (approx. 2 minutes), washbasins all with cold water only, a single, small dishwashing sink with hot water for a fee of 1 CHF. Extremely long walk from the pitch to the sanitary facilities. No water taps distributed around... the site, only at the sanitary building. Long power cables necessary. Pitch not parceled out, therefore confusing jumble of parked caravans/mobile homes. Positive: the beautiful location directly on the lake.Automatiskt översatt.
- albert t.April 2011We came to this beautiful campsite, which is right on the lake, at short notice at Easter 11. The operators are very friendly. The sanitary facilities were always clean. Once again, you need the cable reel for electricity here. We also noticed the simple campers on the site, no WOMO show-offs.Automatiskt översatt.
- Kirsten H.June 2010Very manageable site, the village is within easy walking distance. Directly on the lake with a few trees, a large meadow with pitches for tents and camper vans, direct access for swimming. Very friendly hosts, family character. Great as a stopover.Automatiskt översatt.
