" - always very full in July/August, 99% Dutch (all signs in Dutch), between two dams on the Dordogne (so canoeing is limited), very well run, idyllic in the 'castle park', some pitches very small, approx. 3 km outside Argentat

Profil

In Corrèze, in the heart of France, you will find the beautiful castle campsite Le Gibanel. The campsite is beautifully situated along the meandering Dordogne. Some pitches are right on the water's edge! You can take a refreshing dip from …your caravan! In the low season, this green oasis is wonderfully peaceful and in the high season, young campers can easily find playmates at the swimming pool or at the table tennis tables. The campsite is located in a very special place, on an estate near a castle. The grounds look well maintained. This also applies to the sanitary facilities, some of which are wheelchair accessible. Thanks to the many trees, you can easily find a spot in the shade. The real water rats will of course opt for one of the pitches right on the river. You can not only camp here with your own caravan or camper van, but also stay in a mobile home or a rented caravan. The special thing is that the castle is really part of the campsite! Here you will find, among other things, the restaurant and a covered leisure room. Whether you like swimming, fishing, canoeing or pedalo boating, everything is possible at and around campsite Le Gibanel. The Dordogne splits in two at the location of campsite Le Gibanel, creating a lake with a gentler current. One side of the campsite borders this lake. It is great fun to rent a canoe, kayak, pedal boat or paddle surfboard and explore the area from the water. Do you like fishing? At the reception they will be happy to tell you where to find the best fishing spots.
