At night there were hardly any vehicles on the road, so it was acceptable.All goodWe were only there for two nights, but we were very satisfied. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We were almost alone on the third floor and could stand freely.

The owners are a young couple who are friendly and always ready to help.
The location is ideal for hiking or extensive cycling tours.
A visit to the Rothaus brewery is recommended (approx. 1.5 km) on foot.

We received a friendly welcome and were given a very nice and spacious pitch. The sanitary building is certainly a bit older, but everything was always clean, which was much more important to us. Many... hiking trails start from the site, so you don't have to rely on a car. The Kuhblick restaurant is highly recommended. We will be back again. The owner was nice to us, but a bit of a difficult personality. When we were standing in reception, a parcel carrier came who was very compressed because he didn't park in front but drove into the courtyard.
The sanitary building as a whole... is very outdated and no longer really up to date. E.g. kitchen equipment in the scullery from the 70s.
Directly at the place there are beautiful hiking trails to go for a walk with the dog in peace.
A busy road runs right past the site, which didn't bother us much, but is audible.
The direct proximity to the Schluchsee is perfect for a short bike ride.
The restaurant next to the campsite is small but nice and highly recommended.

The nearby Schluchsee, the Rothaus brewery, the Titisee and even Freiburg can be "experienced" free of charge with the guest card by public transport directly from the site. The pitches are large enough and almost level, with 16A electricity,... water a short distance away and easy disposal. The sanitary facilities are not the most modern but always clean! The always friendly and helpful staff, who are also up for a bit of fun, deserve special mention. The small kiosk offers everything you need, including a bread roll service. The adjoining restaurant "Speckhuisle" is also highly recommended, there's regional cuisine in excellent quality, freshly prepared and above all to get full! We felt immediately welcome as soon as we arrived. The place itself is a great starting point for hiking and cycling tours. The nearby Schluchsee lake is great for swimming in summer. Pitches are not huge, but sufficient. Sanitary facilities a little older,... but always clean. Many permanent campers at the back of the site. Tip: Don't go to the brewery inn (expensive, unfriendly, mass processing). Better to visit the "Kuhblick" bistro on site. Delicious, great value for money and a super nice host. There was nothing free at the Rothaus campsite either... But the super-friendly operators let us camp in front of their garage for one night and even provided us with... electricity and allowed us to use everything. So much courtesy is unfortunately no longer commonplace these days and we were simply thrilled to have been given this "asylum"... The evening meal in the "Kuhblick" bistro was delicious and the service here was also nice and courteous. Waking up the next morning with cow bells was a dream.
