- Hans Hagen S.September 2024PositivaNice reception, even in German Price performance fits Good possibility to go with dog Clean and modern sanitary facilities Kitchen area very goodNegativanone noted (two nights here and everything was great)Stopover before the Lofoten IslandsWe were there with the caravan during the night, the place was well occupied. Stopover on the way to Lofoten, highly recommended. We had several places to choose from and opted for the one by the stream by the bridge. We were able to start our daily dog walks directly from there. A longer cable may be required for electricity. Hike up the mountain recommended, but quite strenuous. Would come again.Automatiskt översatt.
- Andrea S.October 2023PositivaYou can see auroras, like any other place in the center.NegativaThe place is “ok” but for sure you can find better places to stay in the center of town, definitely better customer service too. You’re far away from everything and there’s not much to do..and if you decide to stay, just do it for max 2 nights.. because the rest is definitely not worth it. Bed is not confortable, the chairs from our dining table where broken, internet didn’t work and we had to change cabin (when we insisted, we work online and their solution was to work at the reception before changing our cabin..) The shower is a mess, everything gets wet and you have to clean after.. (we stayed at the superior cabin). Breakfast is pretty basic (if you’re vegetarian/vegan totally not worth it, is super unhealthy) better buy your food at the supermarket and not the breakfast they offer. We stayed 5 nights and payed over 1000 euros. The last night me and my boyfriend decided to have some drinks in the reception, payed over 60 euros for 2 beers and 2 wines, they told us the reception closed at 8 pm. It was 8:06 pm, my boyfriend was finishing his beer and there were more people there having drinks too. The women from the reception Nadya, told us she could give us 5 more minutes before closing to finish his beer, then another woman came and took the glass from my boyfriends mouth ,literally, in a super rude and unnecessary way, he didn’t even finish the beer, and told us “it was not allowed to drink more alcohol because of a law” (thing we where NEVER informed, and there was also no sign of this around the reception.. we where only there trying to enjoy our last night with a beer and a wine...) When we asked for the girls name, they started accusing us of “feeling harassed”?! and started to kick us out of the reception, telling us that “thanks to us, other employees couldn’t leave and where waiting for us to finish their shift”, when before this, they where finishing a training and not rushing at all.. Our whole experience was completely ruined by this. There’s always a better way to say and inform about things. Maybe they should take more customer service trainings, because obviously what you’re doing now is WRONG. I recommend staying in the center, in an Airbnb or hotel, it will probably be cheaper and nicer, you will also see the auroras from other places, not just here.. they just have “good marketing”. This place is expensive and they where very rude.. 👎👎There’s better places in the centerThe place is “ok” but for sure you can find better places to stay in the center of town, definitely better customer service too.

Our whole experience was completely ruined by this. There - Hartmut B.July 2020PositivaClose to the city of Tromsö.NegativaLooks like a better parking lot.Not very invitingThere are pitches with and without electricity. The pitches with electricity are closely parceled out and tidy. The pitches without electricity are on gravel and not very inviting. Overall, the campsite is only recommended if you are planning to visit the city of Tromsö. There is a good bus connection to the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are shopping facilities on site and a small café.Automatiskt översatt.Besvaras från Tromsø Lodge & Camping August 20, 2020Dear Hartmut B.,
Thank you for taking the time to write a bit about your experience at Tromsø Lodge & Camping. We appreciate your review, despite the low rating, and hope to see you in Tromsø another time :)
To meet the increasing influx of caravan tourists this year, we opened up a few extra pitches... without electricity, so that everyone that visits Tromsø with a caravan could stay overnight, despite almost full capacity.
Your kind words and comments will be shared with the rest of the staff members. Thank you!
With best regards,
Mats
Tromsø Lodge & Camping - Marc F.June 2018PositivaClean wet areasNice place for the trip to Tromso! The pitch is very clean and the wet area is also up to date. Finally no additional costs for hot water! The pitches for caravans are a bit strange. The camper pitch is concreted and to the right of it is artificial turf.Automatiskt översatt.
- Gero S.August 2017It was all rightThe place is expensive, but a good starting point. We were there at the beginning and end of our tour with the motorhome.Automatiskt översatt.
- Dieter K.July 2017PositivaThe only campsite near the cityNegativaOur most expensive campsite in Norway so far, not enough sanitary facilitiesRelatively new space for relatively much moneyLocated about 1.5 km from the Arctic Ocean Cathedral in a side valley by the river. The pitches are asphalted with artificial turf, which is not bad at all when it rains! V/E good. Access to the sanitary facilities only with a chip card, which you also need for the showers. There is a row of about 8... toilets for men and women and just as many on the other side with showers. One disabled toilet. The sanitary facilities are not sufficient when the campsite is full. Large communal kitchen. There is also a sauna. Around 80 pitches on hardstanding with standard electricity connections. Below the asphalted pitches there are pitches on uneven ground and without electricity. Fast WiFi is free and available throughout the site. All this comes at a hefty price of NOK 360 (electricity and 2 adults). The town is easily accessible on foot and by bike via Tromsobrua.Automatiskt översatt.
- Simona J.June 2016PositivaWell locatedNegativaNot cleanOnce and never againThe whole place is an imposition. Many things have been redesigned and rebuilt, such as the sanitary facilities and the whole pitch. Unfortunately without charm. The car is parked on tar, artificial turf has been laid between the pitches. The showers are not well thought out. After showering, the whole... floor is under water. Some showers don't have any shelves or hanging facilities, so everything gets wet. Neither the showers nor the toilets nor the kitchen were cleaned during our stay. You get all this for an exorbitant price. Unfortunately the only campsite in Tromsø.Automatiskt översatt.
- Michael R.July 2015PositivaCompletely new, sanitary building/kitchen/washing machine new and modern and very clean. Waste disposal in the immediate vicinity. WLAN free of chargeNegativaPitch has no atmosphere and therefore only recommended for transit or 2 days.Attention: Completely new pitch and sanitary facilities in front of the old camping siteAttention: Everything is new here and therefore the ratings before me are probably no longer valid. Directly in front of the old site, a parking area has been created for motorhomes and caravans with a tarred pitch and gravel surface (all vehicles are parked on the tar) and the cars are parked on the... gravel. The facility is not yet finished but usable (see also my photo). Power connections are always available as a 4-unit and there is also a new disposal station for camper vans and cassette toilets. Unfortunately, fresh water can be tapped in the same block. The infrastructure building with reception, café, kitchen, washing machine and the sanitary facilities are also completely new. Access to the sanitary facilities by card only. Showers (i.e. water) are charged by card. This site is state of the art, very spacious and clean. But the pitches look very sterile and are not suitable for a vacation but only for a short visit of 1 or 2 nights. The price of NOK 360 for a camper van and 2 adults including electricity is high but still justified. Shower water is extra. I was able to count just under 60 new pitches, but there is still an area that is not finished. In addition, this entire new area is not quite finished yet. Some installations still seem to be missing here - I have the impression that some water stations are still being installed (but this is just an impression). This new part of the square is supplied with an open, well-functioning WLAN, which is also free of charge. Addendum to the shower: The showers also have a toilet. The water cannot be regulated or turned off. It is controlled purely via the shower card at 4-minute intervals. As the flow rate is quite high, this leads to flooding of the entire cabin and, due to the slight dents in the floor, it also flows into the toilet area. So after showering you have to remove the water properly with the slide valve. It might help to lock the probably inexperienced planner in this shower for a week and force him to take a shower. Then he will certainly have an idea for improvement. However, because of this addendum, I have not changed the rating and hope that the criticism will be taken on board.Automatiskt översatt.
- matthias m.June 2014PositivanoneNegativatoo expensive, no service, poor parking spacesPoor quality for a lot of moneyAbsolute imposition for an exorbitant price. Worst campsite on our trip to Norway (4 weeks). For 280 Nok on a gravel pitch with potholes, reservation doesn't work, washing dishes as well. If you are going to Tromsö you should definitely avoid it. Pitch (free, 200 meters from the campsite) offers the same comfort...Automatiskt översatt.
- Jörg B.July 2013Stony course with many holes. Heavy puddles when it rains. Tromsö can be reached on foot. Very expensive.Automatiskt översatt.
- Marit K.September 2012We stayed in a comfort cabin with private facilities which was excellet. Cannot comment on other facilities. It was a wet day and it was a bit muddy outside. Close to a small river - I suspect there can mosquitos in summer.
- Heidrun L.May 2012My worst nightmares have been surpassed. The toilet doors don't work properly, the power lines are dangerous. The pitches oh, oh. WC and showers - tiles and floor defective. Can really only be used for one or at most two nights to visit Tromsö. And that for 32 € plus 2.80 € internet.Automatiskt översatt.

- serge P.June 2011Like all campsites with high occupancy, a bit dirty. There are problems with the Internet, as in all campgrounds in Norway visited this year. One advantage of the campground is that it is close to the city.Automatiskt översatt.
- Anneli T.August 2010A city campsite next to sports facilities. High fluctuation. Not suitable for a vacation. The sanitary facilities are scarce and very basic, even by Scandinavian standards. Expensive!Automatiskt översatt.
- Angelika S.August 2010I stayed in a hut with my son for one night during a round trip. The term rabbit hutch is still comfortable for this hut. We were charged NOK 465 for this hare hutch. In the approx. 50 cm wide double bunk beds there were boards instead of slats. The mattresses, if you can even call them that, were about... 10 cm thick. We spent half the night in the car. The staff were very unfriendly. The kitchen was empty. No dishes, let alone cooking pots. On request, we were given a backpack with two cooking pots and a water jug with a lot of galama. Also two plates, cups and cutlery. A deposit of NOK 150 had to be paid for this. The connection to the city is very good and you can quickly reach all the sights. But that's the only positive thing we noticed on this pitch.Automatiskt översatt.
- Peter W.June 2010The campsite is too expensive for campers with tents, I paid 210NK for an overnight stay in July. The pitch for the tents is totally unsuitable! The sanitary facilities are not cleaned regularly and the kitchen is poorly equipped and not clean.Automatiskt översatt.
