- Stefan D.August 2024Olumlu yanlarıGreat connection to Schwäbisch Hall Small and lovingly run Nostalgic showers :-) QuietOlumsuz yanlarıNarrow access to the pitches when the pitch is full.Cozy, well-located campsiteMy wife and I really liked the campsite. It's great for couples. The proximity to the city of Schwäbisch Hall is ideal. The surrounding countryside is great for cycling.
The campsite owners are super friendly and the booking was extremely straightforward. We had two great days in Schwäbisch Hall.
The... sanitary facilities were clean and tidy. The showers with the coins are still "oldschool", but it worked great. The costs for the campsite owners are also rising... so it's absolutely understandable.
The campsite is a little insider tip!

Thank you very much for this great experience. We, 2 adults in our early 60s with a dog, spent our first night camping at the Steinbacher See campsite. Thank you for your help and support, thank you for a super clean kitchen, spotlessly clean sanitary facilities,... lots of lovingly designed pitches, great bread roll service and above all thank you for your warm hospitality and a wonderful evening with a cool drink and nice conversations in the small beer garden. We will definitely be back!!! Sigi and Anette with VinceOtomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Simone D.March 2024Olumlu yanlarıVery close to the city and yet very quietOlumsuz yanlarıThat the wonderful time was over so quicklySmall but very fineA very idyllic and quiet campsite despite its proximity to the city. Set up and maintained with great attention to detail by the Freitag family. The absolute highlight is the barbecue area with campfire site, even firewood was available.
Bread roll service is great and runs via a trusted cash register - respect!
Keep up the good work, we definitely felt very comfortable and would love to come back!Otomatik olarak çevrildi. - Mark M.May 2023Olumlu yanlarıQuiet place close to nature Very friendly and helpful operators Washing machine and dryer Freezer for use Bicycle garage Many shady spots directly on the Kocher Ice cream shop Bread roll service Hygiene articles free of charge Barrier-free bathroomOlumsuz yanlarıThat you have to leave again 😇😎😇Super nice quiet idyllBeautifully situated small, personally managed campsite with very friendly operators.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

The site is very well maintained, the pitches are not parceled out but marked.
They are not huge, but big enough.
The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but very clean. The kerb from the driveway to the lawn can be negotiated by any mover. The location... is perfect, very close to the city and yet very quiet, even during the day. The railroad line in the rock face is not frequently used by a quiet multiple unit train, which is not a problem.

- Christiane S.June 2019Olumlu yanlarıNear Schwäbisch Hall quiet,Olumsuz yanları8 minutes in the shower is looooong.Quiet, small squareWe were here for a long weekend, very friendly owners, the sanitary facilities were very clean, especially the flexible hand showers, quiet location, bread service, all in all recommendable. - Uwe M.May 2019Olumlu yanlarıFriendly operators Very clean and well-kept place clean sanitary facilities free wifiOlumsuz yanlarıPaths between the rows of pitches are too narrow No water columns on the pitch, only at the sanitary buildingsmall fine placeI stayed at the site for three nights at the beginning of May. Checking in was quick and easy. The operator was very friendly. I was able to choose my own pitch. The driveways between the rows are very narrow, I estimate 2.5m (my caravan has 2.3m and there was only a little space to the left and right... of the tires). It is also not ideal that the paths are slightly lower than the pitches and the path is separated from the pitches by a curb. This means that it is impossible to push a caravan from the path onto the pitch. Due to the narrowness, maneuvering with a car is also difficult. Fortunately, there were plenty of free pitches for me, so I was able to drive onto them with my car. I doubt whether a mover could manage the space. Hence my suggestion: fill in the paths so that they are at the same level as the pitches. Then it would be easier to drive onto the pitches and wider trailers could also drive better here. The pitches on the meadow are very level, so that the vehicle stands straight straight away. Two rows of pitches are separated by a few trees, the width of the pitches is absolutely sufficient and marked with color markings on the path. The electricity is connected by the operator. Electricity boxes are always for several pitches, so paths could be long. Unfortunately, water/waste water is only available centrally at the sanitary building, which is located at the entrance to the pitch. This means that the distances are also very long here if you have to carry a water canister. The sanitary facilities are no longer state-of-the-art, but they are very clean and lovingly decorated. There is a touch of nostalgia, but that's okay. The shower cubicles are only "closed" with a curtain. Hot water is charged at €1 for 8 minutes and heats up really quickly and is very hot. Wifi is free of charge. The signal on my pitch was also sufficiently strong and stable. Sat reception was also good. Trains do pass through at night on the nearby railroad line and you can hear them clearly. But the frequency is not that dramatic. I estimate an average of one train per hour, at night rather less. The whole site makes a very clean and well-kept impression. If I am passing through again or have an appointment in the area, I would definitely come back.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Johannes W.March 2019Olumlu yanlarıSmall, quiet and clean campsite. Great bread roll service.Small, simple and family-run campsiteWe spent a weekend at the beautiful little campsite on Lake Steinbach, just outside Schwäbisch Hall, to kick off the 2019 season. Arrival was (after telephone consultation) possible until 21:00 without any problems, which was very convenient for us. A bread roll service is offered (pre-order the day... before), which is really highly recommended. The rolls were accompanied by a daily newspaper (free of charge) - great! There are no other shopping facilities on site - but the nearest town is not far away - Schwäbisch Hall is also a relaxed 30-minute walk away. The whole site is very well maintained. The pitches are on a level lawn. The sanitary facilities are clean, but a little dated and rather rustic. Hot showers cost €1 for 8 minutes. There is not as much "on offer" as on a modern 5* site - but for us it has everything we need for a few relaxing days camping. Also highly recommended for a city trip to Schwäbisch Hall. Please note: A small discount is granted for Campincard holders (ACSI).Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Martin B.October 2018Olumlu yanları- Small and cozy - Sanitary always tip top maintained - very friendly receptionOlumsuz yanları- Shower time could be regulated differently (50ct for 4 minutes), 8 minutes was too long for meBeautiful place with an old but charming flairWe were on the pitch from 06.-08.10.18. The reception by the site manager was very friendly, when we asked when we had to be back down we were told when we wanted (it was the last week of the season). Played into our hands as we only left late in the evening. Price was ok, 2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby,... 2 nights incl. electricity and all additional charges 48€. Like my previous reviewers, I can only agree about the surroundings. Quickly in the city, shopping facilities so quickly accessible. The site is beautifully nestled in a small valley. A railroad line and a connecting road run past the site, which you hardly ever hear. There is also a small playground with a climbing frame, a goal wall and a table tennis table. Ideal for the kids, so they don't get bored so quickly. The sanitary facilities are older, but always spotlessly clean! Washing machine and dryer on site for a fee. All in all, a nice short stay in Schwäbisch Hall.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Wolle B.September 2018Just to my taste ...... was the place with the nice operator couple and the overall offer. The visit to the fantastic town of Schwäbisch Hall was one of the highlights of the four-week trip. All in all, highly recommended:Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- O. W.July 2018Olumlu yanlarıClose to the city, quiet and cozy 70s flairOlumsuz yanlarıExcessively precise in collecting money, no customer serviceCharming 70s charm.... with disappointmentStayed there for 2 nights to explore Schwäbisch Hall. The CP is located 2 km from the center and can be easily reached by bike through a beautiful park (saves expensive parking fees). The place is clean but everything is outdated. But it has charm, it has aged well ;) We found it cute....nothing for... a longer stay, but good for exploring the town, or visiting Freilandmuseum Wackershofen. There is a small restaurant run by the groundsman. There is no store but there is a bread roll service. There are free daily newspapers. The sanitary facilities are old, but as clean as they can be. The owners do it themselves and are very thorough. They try to cover up the unsightly aspects with some decoration....but it's ok. On the day of departure we wanted to stay until Sunday evening and were told on arrival that we would have to pay a WHOLE day more. We go on short trips like this from time to time and have only ever paid half a day's price so far.... Especially as the place wasn't fully booked....but good. But now it got really bad: at midday a heavy thunderstorm came up and it rained. We then had to leave after midday, a whole 2 hours later than the normal departure time. They had no understanding for this and charged us for a whole day .... even though the pitch was half empty. Other guests were also annoyed/disappointed by this stubborn money-making. It annoyed me to no end and we've never experienced anything like it. But whoever thinks they want to make money like this, please, but we won't be visiting this place again. It really spoils the great atmosphere that used to be there.....just a shame, really! We are disappointed!!!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Aki M.June 2018Olumlu yanlarıPeace, friendliness, locationOlumsuz yanlarıMen's showers outdated and with coin-operated machinesCamping in the original sense...We have been coming to this site for about 20 years now and are grateful that Mr. Seitel has no ambitions for newfangled bells and whistles. Here you experience camping for those seeking relaxation. No disco noise, no pool parties, just hang out and enjoy the peace and quiet! We always stay here when... we visit the Freilichtspiele and appreciate the fact that we can reach the city center on foot in half an hour. If the showers in the men's area were to be renovated, that would be perfect! And in this case, please do away with the coin-operated machines, that's too much nostalgia. Just €1 more per night and you're done :-) Addendum 2018: Since we - like some other guests - experienced the industry-unusual rip-off on departure, we will not be returning. Apparently Mr. Seitel has become somewhat embittered over the years. What a pity!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Christian H.June 2017Olumlu yanlarıClose to the city - park-like - really hot water - with barbecue areaOlumsuz yanlarıThe sanitary facilities are no longer up to date.1 double washbasin with a tap for rinsing.1€ for the shower (8 min) better 0,5€ 4minVery nice place in the countrysideThe location of the place is great, directly on the cycle path network and just 2 km to the city center, the pitches are large and there is a price, regardless of whether a tent is added, everything just has to fit on it.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

- Beate W.May 2017Olumlu yanlarıvery quietOlumsuz yanlarınonewell-kept campsiteDespite the nearby river with weir, the road and the railroad line (my husband only noticed this on the second day), it was very quiet on the pitch. (And I am very sensitive to noise.) The lawn was very well maintained, we hardly dared to drive on it with the caravan/transporter. The sanitary facilities... are not the newest, but they have been spruced up with lots of little details and are always clean. Of course, the campsite operator couldn't help the constant rain, but it wasn't muddy on the pitch and there were no big puddles. The old town of Schwäbisch Hall is about 15 minutes away by bike.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
