Was assigned a place right at the main entrance, not on the campsite itself, which was empty, even though we had booked in advance and had stated we had a dog with us, it was not allowed anywhere. But they did charge for it? Was woken up at 6.15 when cleaning up... after the weekend event was going on. Packed up and paid 36 Euro for the worst overnight stay at a campsite in the last 20 years. The manager of the site yelled and screamed if you did not follow her instructions, total lack of customer care. There were 2 buses with children on Monday morning and it was the same if they didn't follow her slightest wave they were messed with. Not a place I would recommend for accommodation. There was a larger company coming on Wednesday so therefore we could not spend the night at CV place? The peace and quiet, the surroundings and the relaxed atmosphere on the campsite. The forest pool, which is adjacent to the campsite, was a great experience for our children. We can only recommend this campsite to families... with children. A good combination of camping, forest pool and sports and play facilities. Not to forget, there is an ice cream parlor nearby (500 meters) with the best ice cream we have ever eaten. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and always very helpful. We stayed there for one night with our bike and tent and were very satisfied. The outdoor pool on the site, which you can also use after opening hours, is simply brilliant.

The association that supports the forest pool works wonders! It's hard to find such a great pool, everything is clean and the people are friendly. There is plenty of space on the flat camping site. As there is no other body of water for swimming for miles around, this swimming pool should definitely be preserved - especially for local children to learn to swim.Please keep this swimming pool camping location!We were traveling with bikes and tents and had specifically planned this campsite into our tour because of the swimming pool. I have been a big fan of this beautiful forest pool for many years. Seahorse and lifeguard courses are run here with a lot of patience and competence.
The adjacent campsite is definitely worth an overnight stay.... You can swim before going to sleep and then again for breakfast. Simply wonderful. The village has shops, bakers, butchers and an ice cream parlor.
A clear recommendation from me. But as we were pretty much on our own, it didn't bother anyone. The welcome was very warm and friendly and we immediately felt at home.
The swimming pool is great and we had a lot of fun. The sanitary facilities... were cleaned very frequently, but unfortunately very, very old. But that also has its charm. You can experience camping as it was 30-40 years ago. If that doesn't bother you, you can spend many pleasant hours here.

The ice cream parlor in the village is a must when staying in Dähre! A visit to the schnapps distillery is also highly recommended.
