The staff at registration were very friendly, most of the others had problems saying "good morning". The food in the restaurant tasted good but it also has its price. - Norbert M.August 2018great locationwe were on the naturist part - sanitary facilities quite far - unfortunately we had a problem with the neighbor - he stood 1 m next to us and was then disturbed by our radio! as a camper I don't understand the allocation of places - there are only 5 places for camper vans - but a camper van can also... stand where a camping trailer can go - on the other hand, they are thinking about closing the naturist part because it is supposedly underutilized - otherwise Texel is great and very bike-friendly - shopping facilities and beach 10 min each - that's reasonable - restaurant is also recommendedOtomatik olarak çevrildi.

We had found out about the details of the facilities on the pitch beforehand and therefore have nothing negative to report. When we unfortunately had to cancel our vacation early due to family problems,... we were not refunded the amount we had already paid. So we paid for 5 days of electricity, sanitary facilities, etc. even though we weren't there. We also did not put the operator at a disadvantage by having to reject other applicants because the pitch around us was empty. We find such behavior dubious and have never experienced anything similar anywhere else. Finally, we were offered a voucher for the remaining days. When we asked how long it would be valid for, we were told that it was only valid in the early and late season. Strange, but we had booked and paid for high season (July/August)...?! All in all, we left the campsite with a bad feeling, even though Texel is really great. It's a shame that such a well-known operator is so inflexible.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

Despite almost full occupancy, the sanitary facilities are clean and adequate. The location of the campsite is great for cycling to the beach or shopping in the Hoorn. The staff were also very friendly. The service to place the caravan with the small tractor was already... at the pitch before we were there, but we didn't use it. Very nice place with lots of peace and quiet. Only the dishwasher is tactically a bit unwise placed, as there is no space to put the baskets or otherwise all other washing up facilities are blocked. Also, the dishwasher seems to be so important to various people that there is a certain hectic rush. We would come again.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

Our six-year-old son quickly made friends. The island offers lots of opportunities for family activities. The campsite was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, there is a lot of dog waste on the roadside... outside the campsite. But we have also noticed this in other places in the Netherlands. There is no store on the campsite. But the nearest Spar is only 5 minutes away by bike. You can get the essentials there and also bread rolls every morning. These are also available on the campsite, but I always had to queue for a long time or wait until the bread rolls I wanted were back. So after a week, I decided to cycle to Spar every morning. We were here again in 2018. This year there were soap dispensers in the sanitary area. Very beautifully situated and in a natural setting. Sanitary facilities were always clean and excellently equipped. There was a catering dishwasher in the sanitary area. Dishes done in a few minutes. - Nicole K.March 2016RelaxWe were on Texel in March and rented a chalet. The chalet was great. Very clean and there was everything you needed. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, TV, stereo system, a great terrace and so on. We just found it totally cozy. The ladies at reception were nice. And the place is in the middle of nature. Unfortunately, it's a bit far to the beach. Maybe 10 minutes by bike. We really liked Texel itself and there is a lot to do.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Timm R.August 2014Olumlu yanları+ Location directly in the dunes. + Great cycle routes.Olumsuz yanları- Staff partly unfriendly - Too few and unkempt sanitary facilities (at least in high season). - Dogs make dirt and noiseTop location, unfortunately not up to date, also unfriendly staff.The site is really beautifully situated, you can't complain. Everything on Texel is easy to reach by bike. However, it lacks everything that makes the campsite itself feel good and we had a lot of trouble. 1. the reservation software on the homepage has errors. We were booked a pitch (and charged in... advance) that was unsuitable for caravans, as it turned out on arrival. An alternative pitch was found, but it was not as well equipped as we had paid for. We were neither offered nor granted a refund of the difference. Lawyers will now have to take care of it. Service is different. 2. when we arrived at the alternative pitch, we had to deal with unruly permanent campers who thought we were now standing on their property. The staff called in to clarify the situation escalated the situation and became extremely unfriendly towards us. It was only when I asked to speak to the boss that the situation was resolved. 3. there are far too few medical supply stores on the site. There is one within an estimated 200m radius. For 500 guests, to give you a rough idea, there are 2 showers, 3 toilets and 4 washing-up areas for men and women. Plus 2 large family showers. Far too few. It was simply not possible to shower or wash up at normal times without waiting 30-60 minutes. It worked at night... At least the water was warm. 4. the equipment in the medical supply stores themselves can only be described as "sparse", e.g. garden hoses instead of hand showers. 5. cleaning of the medical supply stores too infrequently. Some dirty toilets were still not cleaned after 24 hours. 6. dogs are also allowed on the site, which many people certainly like. What is not so good is that some dog owners do not consider it necessary to remove their dogs' dirt, even if they poop directly in front of the entrance to the awning or in the middle of the path - I experienced this both times. Certainly you can't blame the campsite for this, but I will make sure that no dogs are allowed next time I book. 7. there are no shopping facilities on the site. The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes away by bike. Good things to mention: Free WLAN in the restaurant area. Good, working washing machines. Cleanliness and quietness on the pitch absolutely fine. Of course you can't expect 5-star comfort from a 3-star campsite, but at least friendly and competent staff and a little attention to detail. As I really missed this here, I will book something else next time.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

For large camper vans, there are specially paved pitches in the dunes under pine trees. At reception, we were given a mini roll of Robidogs for our four-legged friends when we registered. Marco K.August 2011The campsite is beautifully integrated into the natural surroundings. The wash house was always clean. The toilets are at the back of the building and a bit outdated. They were often occupied so you had to wait and not always clean. The site itself has a restaurant but I can't recommend it. There is... a supermarket a few kilometers away in the village. Bread rolls can be pre-ordered and picked up at reception. The island is very beautiful and you can visit and experience a lot. The island is definitely worth a visit and the campsite is far away from the typical tourist centers. The pitches for camper vans are now far from what they were before the renovation. Directly on the "road", no trees, very draughty. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of "little houses" all over the site, which makes the idyllic camping experience a little less pleasant.
