Like all other campsites in Germany, we have received more inquiries than usual this year and have channeled all inquiries for organizational reasons. We have communicated this both via the announcement on the answering machine and via our website. We answered your inquiry via our contact... form directly on the same day and at the same time sent you our terms and conditions and a cost estimate for 2 nights.
In this we confirmed that we would reserve a place if you could arrive between 2 pm and 7 pm. It was not possible for you to arrive before 7 pm (check-in is possible until then). We then informed you that we would keep the pitch free for you and - as you were unable to arrive on Friday evening - offered you directly at check-in that we would not charge for a possible late departure until 6 p.m. on Sunday (this normally costs an additional ½ night's accommodation fee).
You write "A lot of dead wood in the trees, some old trees have already fallen." Correct: During your stay, neither a branch broke off nor a tree "fell over".
In the summer, a poplar tree was blown down during a storm; this is located outside the grounds. However, it poses no danger, which is why it was not disposed of. Instead, it provides a habitat for other creatures.
All trees are inspected at regular intervals by a certified arborist.
We cannot explain the "noise until one o'clock in the morning" you mentioned. It is highly unlikely that it came from our camping guests. The guests who come to us prefer peace and quiet and nature.
We would have found it helpful and fair if you had first addressed the issues that disturbed you on site and given us the opportunity to comment directly.

and booked for 7 nights (2 persons caravan and car for 196,00€).
After my arrival came the shock. At the reception there were half overgrown barrier beams and
the pitch was partly overgrown. Despite my reservation, they put me in the last corner of the... site, all around it was overgrown, it was barely 50m to the railroad line, the trains ran every hour, even at night. Apart from a small playground for children up to the age of 10, there was nothing even an old table tennis table outside the site.
There was not even a barbecue area and barbecuing with charcoal was forbidden due to the high fire risk.
The site was not lit at night and there was no emergency lighting. An old, dimly lit lantern stood near the sanitary building. In an emergency
you would not have found a fire extinguisher, would have been completely disoriented without a flashlight and walked in front of a tree, even with felled trees you left a 30cm stump that you stumbled over or got stuck with the vehicle.
The friendliness of the staff was over when I had to leave a day early and asked if the last night could be deducted from the total price.

The operators were extremely helpful, they even waited for our late arrival and guided us to the pitch. The sanitary facilities are clean and attractive. The water in the lake is clear and there is a ladder to get in from the jetty. The path from the lake to the campsite could be strenuous as it is quite steep uphill. At night it is so quiet that you can hear the barking dog on the other side of the lake. Top quality sanitary facilities. The disinfectant dispensers in every toilet cubicle are outstanding. Bread roll service very good. Croissants can... compete with many in France. In summer, regular sale of fruit and vegetables, meat products and lunch dishes and cakes. Drinks - also chilled - in reception. Toni A.June 2019PozitivnoDirect location on a great lake, lots of shade due to old trees, easily accessible, yet far enough away from the highwayNegativnoSanitary facilities "overwhelmed" in high seasonBeautiful campsite under trees - right on the lakeThe campsite is located on one of the 1000 and 1 Mecklenburg lakes - and it is very beautifully situated on an area overgrown with old trees. This means that there is a relatively large amount of shade, which is particularly pleasant in a hot, sunny summer. From the entrance, the campsite is terraced... down to the Oberuckersee. Off the main path to the right and left are stretches where the individual pitches for tents, camper vans or trailers are located. Two things stand out: firstly, there aren't too many permanent campers (although Berlin is only an hour and a half's drive away), and secondly, you can still camp properly here without being looked at strangely. The lower rows by the lake are only for campers who can get to Warnitz by train - or by bike. We stayed at the campsite for a week after Whitsun - apparently it was full house until Whit Monday, as we were only able to check in on Monday afternoon. It all went very quickly and helpfully - we had reserved a "nice" pitch by email a few weeks before and actually got a nice one, a short appendix path from the main road, so to speak, with a view of the lake and into the sunset in the evening - very romantic! What is important for us on a campsite? Firstly, the pitch (see above), then the "infrastructure" and the surrounding area. The infrastructure is okay, cleanliness and waiting times at the showers were mostly okay, but it could well be that the number of toilets and showers is too low in the high season. In that case, the feudel would have to be swung more often. Expressed in school grades, that was a 2. All garbage cans can be found in the sanitary building: nicely separated for all types of waste. At the reception you can buy a very small range of food and drinks, in Warnitz (7 minutes on foot) there is a "country market" (probably an old HO store) that has the essentials; for more choice you have to drive to Prenzlau. And the surrounding area: the lake is great, very clean, swimming in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening is simply fantastic. Cyclists get their money's worth in the area and can explore the surrounding countryside on small roads. If you want, you can take a motorboat from Warnitz to Prenzlau and take the train back. It was noticeable on the second weekend that there were many young families who had not all arrived by car - and had lots and lots of small children in tow; this made it "livelier" again, as the days before had been very quiet and relaxing (without children screaming). All in all, we found our week at Oberuckersee to be a very successful start to a three-week vacation and the proximity to the lake also made it wonderfully sporty, as swimming is our passion. BTW: we are traveling with a 3Dog tent trailer, so camping in good weather is always more fun - it was the same during the day, but there were heavy thunderstorms and heavy rain almost every night, so we usually spent an hour in the car because we felt a little safer from the forces of nature there. The operators themselves put up a notice near the toilet block and recommend spending such hours in the sanitary building. Die drei lustigen VierJune 2019PozitivnoGreat location, top service, good connections (train station 600m away), spotless sanitary facilities, quiet location, simply wonderful.Negativno-A wonderful place ... we will definitely be back next year.This year was our second stay at the campsite. This time we were there for 14 days and would have liked to stay much longer. We always enjoyed going back to Prenzlau. It's a great town. It's not far to Poland either (45 minutes to Hohenwutzen) and we celebrated our obligatory end-of-holiday dinner in... the "Deutsche Eiche", just like last year. Very tasty food and cheap too. The "Karre Mist" (schnitzel dish with fried potatoes - served in a small wheelbarrow) is highly recommended. The weather was changeable. In addition to quite hot days, it also rained from time to time and the wind on the water was quite gusty. We used this time for fishing and what can I say - 7 pike and 2 perch in 6 days - simply wonderful. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. Dear Kerstin, dear Werner - many thanks for the great time. We are already planning for next year and will definitely be back. The bathing... area with the jetty is really great. Splashing around in the Oberuckersee is definitely a pleasure! The sanitary facilities were always very clean and were cleaned thoroughly every day. The bread roll service in the morning also ran smoothly and the croissants were really tasty.
