When I came out of reception, I was a head shorter. Then I drive with our 3.5 tons motorhome to a place where I do not dare to back up again to drive on wedges.
The "friendly" lady at the reception said that other campers had foil etc. with... them (we did too).
Of course it had been raining for the past few days, but then you just close the site and offer the customer a replacement! To conclude this topic, after a week of spinning tires and ploughing up the pitch, we just managed to get off the pitch.
New topic: electricity! We have been camping for more than 20 years, I almost only rent pitches with private sanitary facilities, but I have never paid electricity for this sanitary building until before the Eifel-Camp, there was certainly a boiler (for the shower) at least there was a maintenance room in the building, so I conclude the boiler, but the hot water at the hand wash basin, the heating for the room all ran on electricity. That borders on "rip-off"!
Next topic: permanent campers, the site manager should take a closer look here, many pitches are very run-down and don't look great.
Once again the topic of reception: when I wanted to report a defect in a dishwashing house to the lady I mentioned earlier, I was again told that the house was closed! It had been closed for almost a week, the boiler was broken! But now the sign had been removed the evening before, so I assumed it had been repaired and opened. I tried to explain this to the lady, whereupon I was asked to "go out and come back in" and I was wished a nice day, which we had without the lady in Bad Münstereifel. This lady certainly does not belong at a reception desk!

Very muddy comfort pitchesbeautiful placeWe were back at the Eifelcamp after 9 years. Much has remained the same. I like the access to the sanitary facilities with pin code. Otherwise it is very anonymous. Ultimately, the reception is only needed at the end to pay the electricity bill.
The comfort pitches have zero drainage, in February... you sink into the mud. That shouldn't happen with 5 stars. Nevertheless, it was very nice again. The sanitary building 1 was quite cold. The showers were first warm and then cold once you had soaped up. This was not very pleasant. When we asked the staff at reception about this, we got a rather arrogant answer that you just had to let the shower run for half an hour.
A... hot water tap in the small dishwashing room did not work.
We also think it's a shame that the winter offer is no longer available this year. After many years with you, we will now have to look for another place, as we cannot accept an almost 100% price increase with a simultaneous reduction in service. No need to queue or speak again. The site is in a beautiful location and you can start hiking straight from there. The sanitary facilities are very clean and... there are bathrooms in which the washbasin, toilet and shower are in one room, so you have your own complete bathroom. Mega. The restaurant is also highly recommended. Super friendly and the price/performance ratio is also right. It's super quaintly furnished, really cozy. We will definitely be back.Automatski prevedeno.

However, there were some discrepancies at reception. There was probably something wrong or the lady was having a very bad day. We don't know. In any case, the reception was not very warm.
