The site is located on the northern outskirts of the town, approx. 5 km from the center. You can cycle along the beach to the center, good cycle paths. We were there with the camper van. There are designated camper pitches with paved lanes. Plenty of space, very clean.... Very good sanitary facilities, ideal family shower rooms: everything inside, shower, toilet, washbasin and lots of space. Clientele store on site, no restaurant. Pitches with ACSI card are ideal and can be recommended. Supply and disposal possible without any problems. The campsite has a variety of games that also invite adults to join in. The owners are typically Danish and friendly. Don't be put off by the fact that you don't get a response to a Hej or Tak, or that they look right through you when you ask something. That's just the way they are.... Some of the sanitary facilities were already closed or reduced to a minimum. We were in August and were already in the low season, which also gave us the advantage of having free choice of pitch. Accordingly, there was little going on and we were able to come to terms with the lower sanitary capacity. In addition to the higher-priced CP, there are electricity flat rates plus kWh prices plus additional waste disposal fees of no less than 2 euros per day per person. As a result, the campsite is rather too expensive, but that also seems to be the Danish average. The beach is within walking distance but you have to walk about 20 minutes through housing estates, and swimming is also prohibited in this section. A big plus is that the saltwater pool is heated and is fun even in a Danish summer when it's a cloudy 18.5 degrees.Automatisk oversat.

The place was almost fully booked and we were the only Germans and were treated very unfriendly or ignored by the staff. The site itself is ok. The sanitary facilities are not brand new but ok. The swimming pool is more like a big bathtub. We only stayed for one of the two weeks planned.Automatisk oversat.

In hindsight, I was really glad that we ended up stranded here, we were actually on our way to the Henne beach - but the day trip was enough for me. Far too crowded for me in the high season. Vejers Strand (right in the dunes) on the car beach wouldn't have been... my place either. This campsite had beautiful grass, we were able to choose a pitch and the children's entertainment was also in German. My kids loved the mini golf course, petting zoo, playgrounds, exercise equipment and, of course, the pool. The kitchen and sanitary facilities were excellent, and there are certainly nicer beaches elsewhere, but Esbjerg is a nice little town, and if I were a fan of Denmark I would come here again.Automatisk oversat.
