Unfortunately, there were no shelves in the shower cubicles for the ladies in the left sanitary building.

No contact possible by telephone. All roads completely dark at night. Most of the water extraction points have been out of order for months. Existing ones creepily silted up. Many things in the wash house and toilets technically damaged, including toilet flushing, shower rods, taps etc. I had the impression that a technician was not available on site at the time.

The only positive thing is the proximity to Beilngries. We met up with friends who have a vacation apartment there. Otherwise we wouldn't have chosen this campsite and will definitely have to look for something else next time!

Sanitary area simply disgusting. Stayed there for 3 days. There was the same hair on the sink as on the 1st day. When do they clean here? Cobwebs in the corner. Toilet brush dirty and dusty. The pitches are insanely expensive because every pitch now has its own bathroom. The few pitches without a bathroom are allowed to use the sanitary building which, in my opinion, is apparently only cleaned in a makeshift manner. We went on a three-week trip and there were always cleaning fairies in the sanitary buildings ..... I never met anyone here. In addition, no attention is paid here to ensuring that the night's rest is observed. Nobody cares, it's not checked. If you want to party until 1 a.m., this is the place for you.

The telephone announcement is not a waiting loop - no one ever (!) answered my phone - but a well-made advertisement. Instead of a reception desk, there is only a check-in machine. It lets cyclists who have booked fixed accommodation check in, for example, but doesn't give out any keys. So you sometimes have to wait in the rain until 4.00 pm. Campers are given a pitch number for the caravan meadow which does not exist. There is a free choice of pitches on the meadow. We visited several corners of the facility in the rain until we reached our destination. Highly impersonal and unappealing. We are used to being welcomed at campsites by a person who also gives tips about the site and our stay, for example. Some of the pitches in front of the expensive, clunky-looking private bathrooms reminded me more of winter parking spaces for camping vehicles than nice pitches. In comparison, the caravan meadow had more of a camping flair. You have to make friends with only one water tap and +/- 300m to the only sanitary area. The power supply came from fused distributors located on the meadow and covered with plastic boxes. When the whole meadow was without power several times in the evening in humid May 2021, it was probably due to the humidity. Note: "We had no problems with this in the last dry summer". According to the order noted on posters, the value of the guests seems to be grouped in the order tiny house, barrel hotel, camping. The vaunted 4 stars certainly do not apply to the camping. In connection with Covid-19, the owner's decision not to recognize complete vaccinations or recoveries, but to require daily rapid tests, was sobering. At the time of our stay, vaccinated and recovered people were treated the same as tested people throughout Germany and in Bavaria. Furthermore, the wearing of FFP-2 masks was required on the entire site - all an incomprehensible arbitrariness. If staff were present at the entrance to the campsite, it was to check the daily test results or to point out the obligation to wear a mask on the campsite. After more than 40 years of camping, I have never written a negative review about a campsite; however, this impersonally managed campsite with excellent, if inaccurate, advertising prompted me to do so.

Very nice place. Vending machine simple but takes a bit of getting used to. Reception nevertheless open at certain times.
