"A lot has happened - The new tenants are always trying to make new changes. There are now pretty paintings in the corridor of the sanitary facilities and in the dishwashing and laundry room too. It's definitely going in the right direction. Super nice tenants and their team is always very friendly and helpful. Great location for excursions to Basel. Sanitary was always clean. Unfortunately there is still a group of people on the site who think they don't have to be considerate of others and often blast the site with bass music for hours on end, which is a shame. This should be stopped, if necessary by canceling the pitch. We tourists also pay for our pitch and definitely don't need this.

"Nice here - Quiet and cozy campsite, everything you need is there. People are friendly and helpful. Large pitches with electricity and shady spots.

"Our stay at the Waldhort campsite - We stayed at this campsite for 8 nights, and we were completely comfortable on the site. Everything was perfect, everything we needed was there, we wanted for nothing. We will definitely be back.

"Good infrastructure, unfortunately unkempt and only superficially clean. - A great place in a great location. You are quickly in the countryside and at the same time have good connections to the city's public transport network, with the ticket included in the price. The perfect place for a longer visit to Basel with the opportunity to relax in nature in between. The site has very good buildings, pitches and infrastructure, which would generally justify the price, but... All the more incomprehensible is the general state of maintenance of the site. During our visit, the flora was unkempt, there was the same dirt for days, the sanitary facilities were only very superficially cleaned and smelled accordingly. We thought this was a real shame because we could otherwise rate the campsite as a top address based on the quality of the infrastructure.

Profile

Der Campingplatz am Stadtrand von Basel ist ruhig gelegen, sehr gepflegt und verfügt auf einer Fläche von 33.000 m2 über 135 Dauercamperparzellen. Der restliche Platz ist ausschliesslich für Touristen reserviert. Der Platz bietet moderne sanitäre Einrichtungen, einen Laden mit Imbissecke, …einen grossen Kinderspielplatz, ein Schwimmbecken und ein Kinderplanschbecken, Tischtennis und Kinderspielplatz. Er wird während der Saison (Anfang März bis Ende Oktober) von einem vollamtlichen Campwart geleitet. Vertragsplatz des Schweizerischen Camping- und Caravanning Verbandes SCCV, Mitglied des FICC, Vertragsplatz des Deutschen Camping-Club e.V.
