Burgundian flavours When you say Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, you mean the Burgundian lifestyle. Good food, savouring the sea air and enjoying the good life: You'll find all of this in the Nieuwvliet area. Stroll along the endless beach, take a dip in the water and explore the area on foot or by bike. At EuroParcs Bad Meersee you can enjoy your holiday home in the beautiful natural surroundings in peace and quiet and make use of the facilities at the nearby EuroParcs Schoneveld holiday park. Picturesque villages are never far away. For example, the Burgundian town of Sluis with the only belfry in the Netherlands or romantic Bruges, just over the border with Belgium. The lively Belgian seaside resort of Knokke-Heist is also only half an hour's drive away. Special nature reserves Here you are surrounded by nature reserves. Just outside the holiday park you will find a nature reserve with the evocative name "Verdronken Zwarte Polder". The Zwarte Polder, which was created in 1623, was flooded in 1802 and has never been fully reclaimed since. This is how the "Drowned Black Polder" came into being. The landscape of dunes, beaches and low vegetation, which is home to many bird species, has been used to create walking and cycling paths. Another bird paradise is Het Zwin, just over the Belgian border. The coastal lagoon with dunes, salt pans and marshes serves as a resting place for migratory birds travelling south or north.
