- Henry P.May 2023Dobre straneGreat view from the swimming pool/bar area. Good location for visiting Cinque Terre. Generally efficiently run site Sink on pitch was usefulNegativne straneThe showers are very difficult to use. We and several others we spoke to weren't able to use them at all. However, having read other reviews this may not have been because they weren't working? Very busy when we were there (maybe not surprising given the location) so not the most peaceful environment. Staff were efficient but not particularly friendlyA busy but efficient campsiteGenerally, reasonably ok for us subject to the points listed above but not one of our favourite sites.
- Volker L.July 2022Dobre stranePanorama Sunsets pool The staff CleanlinessNegativne straneA little far from everything Snack bar with ready mealsA beautiful gemWe were given a very friendly welcome and briefing by the experienced operator.
Our pitch was quite high up with a great view and large enough (camper van with awning). The sinks at the pitch are great!
The pool is very nice and well maintained, only the opening times could be more generous.
The Italian... permanent campers were always friendly and welcoming.
The service staff were also always very friendly. The sanitary facilities upstairs are old, but very clean!
The small supermarket is well stocked. The snack bar only offers ready meals (and that in Italy...!) but makes up for it with its terrace and wonderful view of the sea and the pool!
The price includes a free bus ticket to the beach and the town.
We would love to come back!Automatski prevedeno. - Ulrike E.September 2019Dobre straneEvery seat has its own sink, mega coolNegativne straneFor us there was noBeautiful viewVery friendly family-run place.the approach is on the mountain, quite narrow and steep,if cars park for large storeys a challenge.places are quite flat.we felt very comfortable.despite lunch break we were shown the free places.the staff in the store are mega friendly.sanitary is simple but very clean.You... have to understand the showers once, but then it's easy, but you have to be ready in 4 minutes, the view is great, there is a shuttle bus to the train station, we can recommend the place, in September it was very quiet, how it is in other times when the many permanent campers are there, we can not judge.Automatski prevedeno.
- Fam. M.September 2019Dobre strane# Location to the Cinqueterre # The pool # The view over the sea and Sestri LevanteNegativne strane# NoneBeautifully situated campsite near the CinqueterreThe campsite is about 60 km from Genoa and about 45 km from the first village (Monteresso) in the Cinqueterre. It is therefore ideally situated for excursions in this area. From the campsite there is a bus (from the campsite) that takes you to the train station for excursions to the Cinqueterre. The... access road to the campsite is very narrow and steep in places. As the campsite is situated in a mountain, the pitches are mainly laid out on terraces. These terraces offer a beautiful view of the sea and Sestri Levante. The pitches are rather small, ours was 7.5x5m and just about fitted our caravan. There is a sink with cold water on the pitches. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the pool was perfect. The mini market is equipped with the essentials and bread had to be ordered in advance. The bistro was OK, but we had to go to Setri Levante (approx. 3km) to Il Gabbiano for pizza. There is a Coop about 4 km away. We were welcome as a couple with our dog on the campsite. W-Lan was available free of charge on our pitch. The price-performance ratio (ASCI) was therefore great. On the first of our pictures the view of Sestri Levante from our terrace and on the second picture the view from the breakfast table to the sea.Automatski prevedeno.
- Anja W.July 2019Beautiful placeBeautifully maintained site on a slope where each pitch has its own water point. Clean sanitary facilities.Automatski prevedeno.
- Uwe S.July 2019Dobre strane-Free W-Lan -partly shady pitches -shopping facilities on siteNegativne straneNone, except for the operation of the showersCP well located for excursionsPool can be used with opening hours, until 7 pm and supervised. It is cleaned daily. There is a small market on site that has everything you need. The bar is open in the evening. There is a shuttle bus from the campsite to Sestri Levante. The site is well located for excursions in the surrounding area... (we were in Genoa). The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The only drawback is the showers, they work perfectly, but it takes some getting used to as they are not so easy to use (you have to dial the cabin number from outside). The site is laid out in terraces, which was very good for us (we were traveling with a car and tent). We would love to come back.Automatski prevedeno.
Automatski prevedeno.
- Ludwig B.June 2017Dobre straneGreat shady pitches, pool, free shuttle transfer to the beach, flower toilet,Negativne stranethere is none in my opinion!super nice great campsiteWe were there in June and were very satisfied. The sanitary facilities were cleaned often and were always clean. The staff was also very nice. We will definitely be back :)Automatski prevedeno.
- Gerd H.September 2016Simply perfectwere here in mid-September - ideal starting point for the CinqueTerre and Portofino - wonderful place in a beautiful locationAutomatski prevedeno.
- Mandy S.September 2016Dobre stranegreat landscape, well-kept site, free internet + showers, in low season with ADAC Campingcard only 17 euros for two with camper vanNegativne straneremote, highway depending on the place loud audible, partly zero viewunfortunately a bit out of the way, otherwise quite niceWe were disappointed at first, we had the choice between 3 pitches, 2 of them with zero view, one seemed too narrow, which later turned out to be a misunderstanding. So after 2 nights we moved from pitch 115 with a lot of highway noise to pitch 9 and were happy about the view and more peace and quiet.... However, there was an extremely loud permanent camper above us who was promptly present throughout the night. Fortunately, the night's rest was well respected. The sanitary facilities are a bit special, but you can make do. The washbasins right next to the toilets, no separate washroom, but free, very narrow showers with access to the outside. Yes, the shower system is a bit unusual, it is an advantage if you know English to understand the explanation well. A real shame, but we already knew that from the previous reviews, is the remoteness and lack of footpaths to the town or sea. The pool at the campsite is great and well maintained. Swimming caps compulsory (bring your own or buy from 2 euros in the kiosk). The access road to the campsite is unfavorable, there is no possibility to stop to look around and register first, so you inevitably block the entrance and nobody can get through. The pitch is very steep and our clutch really stank, it's also quite cramped. It's great that every pitch has its own washbasin. The gravel floor is probably unsuitable for tents.Automatski prevedeno.
- Thorsten W.July 2016Dobre strane- Super friendly service - Great pool - great shopping in the small market on site.Negativne straneWe couldn't really complain.Friendly and clean place! The two of us were traveling to the Côte d'Azur in our van. Our first stopover was this place. We stayed here for a total of two nights. We had a super friendly and totally unproblematic service from the site operators. The campsite impresses with its great view and the really well-balanced offer. A... small supermarket on site, including a snack bar, provides the most important things for a camping vacation. The super clean pool right next to the site also makes it very pleasant. We certainly weren't there for the last time.Automatski prevedeno.
- Sabine W.June 2016Dobre straneQuiet location, nice excursion possibilities, nice operators.Negativne straneSteep access road, the technology in the showersBeautiful view, sufficient shadeThe CP is located in the hinterland of Sestri Levante / Riva Trigoso. Approx. 1.5 km to the sea. Very steep, narrow access road! The pitches varied in size, were gravelled and offered plenty of shade. Nice swimming pool with sea view, also from the bar. Bread roll service and small store, but with a... good range of products. There was an old and a newer sanitary building, the showers were clean, but the technology was adventurous. The site is in a quiet location, but there was occasional noise from the highway. We had pre-booked for four days and then extended to a week.Automatski prevedeno.
- DANIEL F.August 2015Dobre stranenice pitches and shadeNegativne strane-Good price/performanceNice pitches with a sink and mostly shaded. Nice pool and quiet beach in Rica Trigoso (Sestri Levante is quite crowded and some of our stuff got stolen on the beach). For visiting 5 terre there's a shuttle tho the train station from the camp site. There's a a small grocery shop and pizza can be delivered to the camping.
- Thomas H.September 2014Dobre straneMountain location with a view, friendly operators, good sanitary facilities, nice, nested pitchesNegativne straneLocation outside in the mountains if you don't have a car availableLonely campsite characterized by permanent campersWe first wanted to go to other campsites in the area, but even at the end of September they were all almost fully booked or only offered us unacceptable pitches. We then found a nice pitch on Mare Monti and the occupancy rate here was not as high as on the other campsites. The campsite is dominated by... permanent campers (approx. 80% of the pitches) and in between there are free pitches for tourists. Depending on the location and wind, it is not quite as quiet as the location initially suggests. We could hear the highway in the valley from our pitch. The shuttle from the campsite operator to the next village was no problem, the bus probably didn't run at all in September. However, you can also walk along the road to the town and the Stazzione in about 25 minutes. Yes, you can also hike from the campsite along some of the beautiful paths through the adjacent NP, but you have to walk about 2 km up or down the road, which is not really pleasant. You just have to know: There is definitely NOTHING to do directly at the CP. Conclusion: I otherwise agree with the other reviews. If you know what to expect or if the other campsites are full, you can definitely give this campsite a try.Automatski prevedeno.
- Bjovie65 B.September 2013This was our second time at MareMonti this year. The campsite is a little out of the way, but the shuttle service and public bus connections make it easy to get to the beach and the train station. It's only 40 minutes by train from nearby Trigoso to the last Cinque Terre town of Riomaggiore al Mare.... The campsite is very family-friendly, not least due to the opening hours of the pool, which make it possible to have breakfast and lunch with the children in peace, without "we want to go to the pool - nagging". In August you should reserve a place, otherwise it may be that everything is full. Thanks to the swimming pool, you can also spend a day with the children simply at the campsite without having to rush into the hustle and bustle of the nearby beaches. Unfortunately, apart from a table tennis table, a beach volleyball court and a table football table, there is no other space for leisure activities. It didn't bother us, the children mainly wanted to swim. On the other hand, the campsite is very quiet and informal, apart from the Saturday evening entertainment at the bar. The hosts are very friendly and, if necessary, the caravan can be driven down to remote parts of the campsite in a jeep. We really liked it there and will be back!Automatski prevedeno.
- Simon T.July 2013A super place with good value for money. Sanitary facilities are clean. The only thing missing here is the possibility to do a little walk with the dogs, as the place is right on the road..... Good starting point for many hikes in the mountains.Automatski prevedeno.
- Hans-Joachim L.October 2012Good place. Very friendly manager. Some pitches with a good view. Swimming in the pool still possible in October. Wifi for free! Unfortunately a bit off the beaten track - vehicle necessary. This site is always worth a stop, if only because of the beautiful view of Sestri Levante.Automatski prevedeno.
- Joachim L.September 2012Small but nice campsite, unfortunately a little out of the way. But some of the pitches have a great view of the sea and the surrounding area! Very friendly staff and an uncomplicated welcome. The sanitary facilities were simple, but also very, very clean. Wifi free of charge. The very positive overall picture is somewhat disturbed by scratchy permanent camper pitches. Otherwise highly recommended.Automatski prevedeno.
- Julian P.August 2011We ended up with a stony pitch, with a tent. we had a choice of 2 pitches and ended up directly next to the topilet block (en-suite!) whcih was fine but a little noisy in the night and next to the bar - so noisy until entertainment stopped at around 12 midnight at the weekends. Very clean and tidy and... nice loos. Bar and shop small but ok. Pool nice and clean with sun bathing terraces. Owners very nice and helpful. During our stay of 3 nights we walked around the ret fo the tsite whcih is quite hilly. A bit liek La Pineta nearby the rest looked like a shanty town and we were a bit shocked - tents and vans all very close together. the main set up appeared to be lots of uts with a caravan attached with an awning, cheek by jowl. We had a pleasant stay but would not be sure about the other pitches on the site as a bit cramped and down market. However, a lot of this is casued by the hilly terrain.
- Marcel K.October 2010Front pitches with breathtaking views. Great, clean sanitary facilities. Friendly staff who speak English. Good value for money. Very quiet site, at least in the low season, where you can hear the crickets chirping. A bit 'off the beaten track' if you want to go somewhere without a car. Unfortunately, the bus that stops right in front of the campsite only goes into town about three times a day. No playground available.Automatski prevedeno.
