Spacious site (130), stays cool on hot days thanks to the hedge. Clean restroom facilities. The coffee is absolutely delicious, and the pizzas are really good, too. For breakfast, we got the package for two people—it was excellent and more than enough. The staff is very friendly, and it’s convenient that you can use your wristband to get into anywhere and pay without needing your wallet—we think that’s great. The washing machine costs €5, and everything was great.

You can hear the company next door running its machine, but by evening, it’s quiet there, too. We didn’t really find it bothersome, since we’re out and about anyway (hiking and biking). I just wanted to mention that, since it was mentioned in the reviews and I wanted to share my opinion on it. It’s not that bad 😉

The entrance is very large, and it’s super easy to get onto the grounds. The restroom facilities are centrally located on the site. License plate recognition automatically opens the gate. The water connection has a threaded fitting and is perfect for adapters. The site is clean and offers a beautiful panoramic view.

A 9-day Pentecost vacation in South Tyrol at Sandgold Alpine Glamping.
The restrooms are truly luxurious and always very clean, but I had a different idea of what “glamping” meant.

Unfortunately, the wellness area isn’t on-site; you have to leave the campground and walk 5 minutes toward the village.... So a quick trip to the sauna isn’t really an option.
The water areas on the grounds are not permitted for swimming. They aren’t really suitable for that anyway.
Neither upon arrival nor during our stay was the grass mowed anywhere. At our site, the clover had grown to 10 cm tall and was in bloom, which led to a swarm of insects.
The neighboring company runs its production 24/7, which you can unfortunately hear all night long. The machine is in operation every 10 seconds.
Unfortunately, you’re restricted to the gravel areas and can’t park the trailer wherever you like, since it’s not allowed to park on the grass (???)—Consequence: We couldn’t enjoy the sun, but had to create our own shade. Due to the site’s location in front of the mountain, the evening sunlight is rather brief.
This didn’t affect our spot, but it did many others.... In addition to the Alpine panorama, you have a full panoramic view of the facility’s centrally located parking lot—and thus the associated traffic.

In summary, it is a very nice campground, but it is definitely not glamping. I expect much, much more from that.
I therefore find the value for money extremely poor, because apart from nice restroom facilities, there is actually nothing special about the Sandgold campground.

Small campsite - we were thrilled
We felt very comfortable here. Booking via the homepage was super easy, an extension for one night was uncomplicated on site. Everything is new, quiet, very clean and everyone is super friendly. Electricity and water are included. Breakfast can be booked online. We would love to come back.

Great new place with very nice and courteous operators; a few little things (hairdryers) are still missing, but such suggestions are immediately and gratefully accepted. Large spa at a preferential price is only a 5-minute walk away. Nicely presented breakfast baskets can be ordered;
There is not (yet)... a store for groceries, but the nearest supermarket is not far away. Very nice bistro on site; we are looking forward to seeing what else has been done before our next stay - natural swimming pond!
