A Successful Short Getaway
We visited the place for 4 days as a trial run for our next annual vacation.
It’s in a beautifully peaceful location. It’s super clean and well-maintained. There are playgrounds everywhere between the accommodations. The house was clean and functionally furnished. Despite the many houses, it was very quiet in the evenings, which is important to us. The highlight for our daughter was the many rabbits and the petting zoo.

A beautiful park for a family vacation
It’s a super clean and beautiful campground with plenty of activities for all ages. The little playgrounds for the kids are great, and the pool area and water slide park are awesome.
Our chalet was super clean and had everything we needed.

A wonderful family vacation—highly recommended! We stayed at Capfun’s Camping De Pekelinge during summer break and had a truly great time! There were three adults, a 7-year-old child, and our dog, and we felt very comfortable from start to finish. We stayed in the Habana Top Presta 4 vacation home. The vacation home was perfect for us—clean, comfortable, and with plenty of space for our small group. Even with our dog, the stay was pleasant and hassle-free. 🌟 The entertainment program was a real highlight for us! The entertainment team was simply fantastic. With incredible energy, a cheerful attitude, and dedication, they made sure the kids never got bored. Our 7-year-old was thrilled and looked forward to every new activity. You could tell right away that the team put their heart and soul into it. Whether it was games, activities, or the various shows—the entertainment was varied, professional, and warm at the same time. Huge kudos to the entire entertainment team! 👏 The service also deserves a special mention. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and always in a good mood. Questions or requests were answered quickly and easily, and we always felt welcome. It was exactly this friendly and personal touch that made our vacation even more wonderful. We were also impressed by the entire resort. There’s so much to discover, and there’s plenty on offer, especially for families with children. Our child had so much fun that they didn’t want to go home at all. 😊 Our verdict: We had an all-around wonderful summer vacation and would definitely recommend De Pekelinge. A great campground with lots of different types of accommodations—we've tried three different ones so far, and they were all fantastic. Lots of playground equipment and a fantastic water park.

It's not right on the ocean, but you can get there quickly by bike thanks to the well-maintained paths.
What a wonderful vacation!
We’ve been here three times now—in the fall, at Easter, and now in the summer. The campground offers plenty to do in every season, and the area around Oostkapelle is simply gorgeous. We’ve stayed in two different types of mobile homes (Kids and Habana), which were great, and now we’ve also tried a Deltacabin.... While “hopping from playground to playground,” we also used the restroom facilities (spotlessly clean and well-suited for families with small children, with small bathtubs, showers, and sinks). We’re really thrilled with the entire campground, the staff, and the accommodations. And a cute bonus: bunnies hop around the area :)

Switch off—time for vacation
It's just always so great. My son had to visit the animals at the petting zoo first thing in the morning and last thing at night. He loved zooming around the grounds in the go-kart we rented and having a barbecue with me in the evening. The swimming pool and outdoor pool are great, too. He also loved the indoor playground and the bouncy cushions outside.

A beautiful campground for families
We had an absolutely wonderful vacation at this campground! The entertainment program was simply fantastic—varied, thoughtfully organized, and a real highlight for both kids and adults. The entire staff was always friendly and dedicated.

The prices were also very reasonable and fair. You really get... a lot for your money here. The campground is well-maintained, the atmosphere is relaxed, and you feel welcome from day one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime. A truly great campground that we can wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you so much for an unforgettable vacation!

a fantastic vacation
Once again, we spent a few fantastic days at this campground—Capfun Vakantiepark—near Oostkapelle. You can tell right from the moment you arrive that the atmosphere here is friendly. The campground combines state-of-the-art technology with a wonderfully relaxed camping atmosphere. The service and staff... make up a great team overall! Whether at the front desk or on the grounds, you’re always greeted warmly: All the staff are extremely helpful, attentive, and always have a smile on their faces. You feel well taken care of, and if any problems arise, they’re on the scene as quickly as possible to address the issue and find a solution. The campground sets new standards in terms of innovation and attractions for young and old alike, and the infrastructure is state-of-the-art. Despite ongoing work on the expansion of the WasserWelt, campground operations were not significantly affected. The spacious restroom facilities and washhouses are bright, flooded with natural light, and kept very clean. The chalets are very well equipped for families of all sizes. They come in a variety of sizes and styles, so there’s something for every taste. Conclusion: For us, it was yet another thoroughly enjoyable stay at a forward-thinking campground. We’ll definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this campground!

Affordable 6-person lodge with air conditioning and a dishwasher. Wide range of recreational activities (including a pump track, tennis court, soccer field, outdoor pool, and swimming pool) In a quiet location City center is within easy walking distance (approx. 1–1.5 km).

The tennis court was in high demand, and there were sometimes long wait times. Perhaps a reservation system could be introduced.
De Pekelinge Campground, Oostkapelle
Great campground for families, especially those with children up to about 14 years old. There are plenty of sports and play options for kids. The accommodations were well-maintained and offered plenty of space. The campground looks very well-kept. Quiet hours are observed.

We were completely satisfied with our stay. We liked the accommodation. The two separate bathrooms were great. Checking in was quick and easy. The staff were very friendly. Handing in the key at the end of our stay via the letterbox at the exit was very practical. The activities for children in the park were varied and we also liked the swimming pools. The opening hours of the restaurant could have been a bit longer.

The large number of new buildings and their orientation create an absolute barracks feeling.
Barracks feeling
We have been coming to de Pekelinge on vacation for years and so far it has always been a great site with a good balance between caravan pitches and mobile homes.
But since Cupfun took over the site, the quality has dropped dramatically.
When we drove onto the site this year, we were really shocked....
There were loads of mobile homes crammed in close together. There's no other way to put it.
You can tell that Cupfun is only interested in maximizing profits.
Too bad, it was different under the previous operator.
If you love the barracks feeling and being close to your neighbors, this is the place for you, everyone else should look elsewhere.

-Barracks flair due to all the new buildings -Overpriced both in the restaurant and in the supermarket -The access to the parking spaces is far too narrow, you have to uncouple and push to get around the corner! -Distorted swimming pool without supervision -Outdoor pool not always heated -Private sanitary facilities are designed in such a way that when you take a shower everything is completely under water, no chance of getting out with dry clothes
Family square with barracks flair
This is probably the most difficult review I have ever been allowed to write on camping.info, I will briefly explain why:
We have always loved going to DePekelinge, we have now spent our summer vacation there a total of 3 times. It was always an Ardoer site with all the advantages of the chain, unfortunately... Capfun has taken over the site and there are clear differences.

The most obvious: all the beautiful pitches and fields that used to be there have been flattened and huts and mobile homes have been placed there, we were shocked!!! When you drive to the camper area, you feel like you're driving through a barracks.

Furthermore, the overall quality has also deteriorated, whether it's the pitches, the swimming pool or the restaurants. The latter are totally overpriced and the quality of the food is average. The swimming pools no longer have supervisors (!) and this means that it is dirty, noisy and confusing because everyone does what they want and nobody looks after the ar......ch children. Children used to stick their chewing gum on the slide and nobody cared. The staff are now mostly school assistants and you can tell. Everyone is very friendly but you get your beer cleared away even though it wasn't empty yet. The new outdoor pool was something we were really looking forward to. On a sunny day the water was heated which was great, but when we wanted to go in on a cloudy day it wasn't heated and that was that.

It's a shame, the children and we really loved this place! But unfortunately we will be moving on because it wasn't the same this summer as it used to be.

Anyone who hasn't been there yet is welcome to come and have a look, but it's no longer a place (it was even Bernd Stelter's favorite place) that you always come back to.
