Peter B.June 2018Ripping off German campersUnfortunately, the ACSI Card was not accepted. They said the caravan was too long. After talking to other campers, it was obvious that all German campers pay more and the Dutch campers don't need it - no matter how long the caravan was. You can hear it crashing behind you when you brush your teeth. I didn't think that was greatNice place for a stopover but.....Ideal for a stopover in the south. Good pizzeria, you can go for a good walk with your dog. Unfortunately our Acsi Card was not accepted because our WW is 7.40 m with drawbar. We had to pay the regular price and got a pitch on the meadow next to the footwell gates. Too expensive for that. Unfortunately very unfriendly when we asked.Automaticky preložené.

Pitches well laid out, no narrowness, sanitary facilities were clean and in order, no individual wash cabins. Nice pool (bathing caps) restaurant (OK) with a great view of the pool and surrounding Tuscan landscape! Minimal highway noise , for us not disturbing at... all . Small store , I would recommend shopping outside in the nearest villages . Bus to Florence about 5,- Eur . Ideal also by car - from the quiet CP in rural surroundings in 20 min. in Florence , would visit again .Automaticky preložené.

We were there at the end of September. Pool was no longer cleaned. Full of green algae!!! Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. I complained about the calcone I ordered. It was filled with 2 slices of ham and white goo. Waitress ripped it out of my hand and threw it in the trash and I was kicked out of the store. Thanks again.Automaticky preložené.

The pitches are fine. The highway is audible. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was not that great and could therefore be improved. The staff were always friendly. Bus stop almost in front of the entrance to the campsite, tickets are available at reception and are also very cheap. The bus ride to Florence is adventurous, but fun. The sanitary facilities were apparently not cleaned regularly. Bread rolls are available in the small store. The food in the restaurant was good and the price was okay. Very remote, inconvenient journey.Place with pros and consThe first thing we noticed very positively was how nice and friendly we were received. The pitch was not even half full and we were able to choose a place that suited us. The pitches are terraced and pleasantly large, no sitting close together with the neighbor. The sanitary facilities were nice but... (perhaps because we were there over the weekend) not quite as well maintained but still ok. There is a bus to Florence right outside the campsite and tickets are easy to get at reception. Now to the negative things. The pool and restaurant do not belong to the campsite but to the municipality. This means that at the weekend there are lots of local bathers in the pool, which isn't too big anyway. First of all, the store is not very well stocked and is also completely overpriced. The nearest shop isn't exactly around the corner either. The campsite is also right next to the highway and, depending on the wind direction, we could hear the traffic quite well.Automaticky preložené.

Great location in the Tuscan hills only 20 minutes by car from Florence old town. Very friendly staff, great pizzeria on site with terrace and view of the pool and the hinterland. Vineyards, cypress avenues, olive groves... In contrast, the high-end fashion outlet in the valley with Japanese and Russians. Ideal for trips to Florence: 30 minutes by car, 50 minutes by public bus... Everything was clean, well-kept... and surprisingly empty for the end of August: parts of the square were already closed. Too bad, the place would have deserved more visitors! Small disadvantages: The highway runs right next to the site (but it's still a long way from the highway) and small, nasty mosquitoes--Automaticky preložené.

ID cards are withheld and only handed over on insistence. Beer is only available uncooled - prices in the "supermarket" are overpriced. Water tap far away. The pool was clean, the pitches shady, water on the main... paths. Very good starting point to visit Florence by bus. Unfortunately - at least during our stay - the highway was audible all night. - Albonetti T.September 2013We were traveling to Italy as a couple with two dogs, a 6.5m motorhome and a trailer incl. Smart. I chose this Tuscany campsite based on the reviews on this site. And the choice was the right one! One of the best campsites I have visited so far. Even the friendliness of the reception staff was SUPER.... (Only Italian and English are spoken, as in most of Tuscany) We chose a pitch in the lower part of the campsite. It was nice and quiet, only from the nearby highway you could hear the sirens of the police or the ambulance from time to time. We used the store and restaurant at the campsite itself. The prices were OK. The only thing that bothered me was that you immediately got a glass of sparkling wine in the restaurant, which was again 4€ on the bill... Sanitary facilities were always clean, whether WC or shower. There are also washing machines (4€) & dryers (3€) in a separate laundry room. Florence can be reached by bus, bus stop directly at the campsite. We used our car because of the 2 dogs. However, we would say that Florence by car is not recommended in the high season. If you have time you should not drive on the highway, because the Chianti country has a lot of beautiful things that you will not find in travel guides!!! If we are traveling in Tuscany again, we will visit this campsite again! The approach should be as indicated on the campsite's website, especially if you are traveling with a caravan or large motorhome. - Michaela M.September 2012Beautifully situated camping site. Very clean sanitary facilities. The staff were always super friendly and helpful. The site has a nice swimming pool. However, you need swimming caps, but that didn't bother us. The pizzas at the take-away restaurant are really tasty, but a bit expensive. The site and... the surrounding area are very quiet, so you can really relax there. Siena and Florence are easy to reach from there. There is a bus stop about 500 m from the campsite where buses leave for Florence, but I would recommend using the car.Automaticky preložené.

- Oliver S.August 2010Nice place in a good location to Florence. Highway audible but well bearable. Access from the highway via approx. 9 km winding mountain road. A first-class winery nearby. For children: nice playground and separate children's washroom with toilets, washbasin and showers. Swimming caps are compulsory in... the beautiful pool (in my opinion complete nonsense and just a money-making exercise, swimming caps cost 1.50 euros in the market). Food is available on site in the next village or in the direction of Florence.Automaticky preložené.
