"Large natural site without parceling - The area of this campsite is huge. You can choose your own pitch, everyone pitches as they wish. We were there in the early season, just before the start of the French and most German vacations. There was a good selection of nice pitches, but it was more crowded near the beach. The campsite is located in a loose stand of pine trees, with partial shade and sun almost everywhere. The sanitary facilities are mostly outdated, but were always clean. There are toilet blocks, blocks with washbasins and toilets and some with showers. There was no shower and only cold water in the cottage near us. No problem for going to the toilet and no problem for washing in warm weather, but we had to accept a short hike to shower. Washing up with cold water is not really possible either. There is a large sandy beach right next to the campsite. In the morning, we were able to buy fresh baguettes and croissants from a stall in the center of the campsite. There were also stalls with simple food, but we didn't use them. There was a good restaurant on the other side of the road.

"Nature camping - The campsite in the hilly dune area is huge and therefore confusing, which I found very nice. You don't even have the feeling of being on a campsite but standing in nature, the beautiful beach is only a few meters away through the dunes, simply fantastic. If only the sanitary facilities were newer and cleaner it would be a top place

"Natural square - Huge pitch in hilly dune terrain, very quiet location. The road can be heard at the back of the site. Hardly lit at night. Direct access to beautiful beaches. You pitch where it suits you. The pitch was very well occupied, but we still found a corner. Sandy ground or overgrown with grass. At the back of the pitch there were more trees, towards the beach there was more sun. In our corner there was a small house for washing up and brushing teeth, one with a toilet (half standing toilets) and one for showering. But it was always clean. There is a food stall and the baker comes by in the morning (we had to queue each time). There are no shopping facilities nearby.

"Very scenic place - The site is located on a large dune overgrown with many trees and bushes. The ground is therefore sandy and overgrown with a thin turf. The ground is also very uneven, humpy and sloping. Semi-level pitches are rare. Depending on previous use, some pitches may only consist of sand. There is no parcelling out; pitches are chosen freely and marked out individually. The eastern part of the site offers the most pitches with a direct sea view, is relatively flat and is located slightly outside the part of the site with trees. However, it is very exposed to the wind. There are several direct access points to the fine sandy beach. The sanitary facilities (many standing toilets) are partly outdated, but are carefully maintained. Several new toilet blocks have also been built. Showers are only available in three of the larger houses scattered around the site, so the distances and waiting times can be long under certain circumstances. At least in house no. 14, the running times of the showers were extremely short - about two to three seconds. The facilities are sufficient for the low season; in the high season the facilities are likely to reach their limits. Washing machines and dryers are available (coin-operated). Depending on the pitch, the power sockets may be a long way away; it is therefore advisable to take long or several cables with you. A WIFI network is only available in the vicinity of the reception and unfortunately not on the whole site. At least during my stay (September) there was no supply at the campsite. Larger purchases can only be made further away, as there are only small stores in the surrounding villages. According to its own advertising, the site is the campsite with the largest surface area in Europe, so pretty much everyone will find a pitch to suit their needs here. The corresponding vastness causes a certain lack of orientation, at least at the beginning. All in all, it's a site that doesn't require much effort and is more suitable for the low season. In any case, it is uniquely beautifully situated and very quiet.

"Once is enough for a lifetime - I visited this campsite in the period from 12.08.17 to 16.08.17. The undulating and uneven pitches are freely selectable. The size of the required area is determined by the camper himself.there are problems with the electricity connection. Some of the pillars are improvised with multiple plugs. The sanitary facilities are too few and completely outdated and also very dirty. The catering consists of an ice cream stand, a snack stand and a bakery shop as well as a formerly mobile, completely outdated pizza stand. All very run down. The only highlight was the staff who were very friendly. The price-performance ratio was just about right. I would not visit this place again.

"Simple (and) beautiful - The campsite is located on a beautiful bay. There are no pitches, everyone pitches where there is space. There are older but clean sanitary facilities, which are cleaned several times a day. In the previous season, the men's sanitary facilities were turned into shared sanitary facilities. The toilets consisted of 2 standing and 2 sitting toilets. In the morning, a local baker drives around the site in a cart and sells typical French baked goods. The receptionists are friendly and always helpful. The campsite is located in the dunes on a beautiful bay and invites hardy swimmers (water temperature in June approx. 14° C). All in all, a clear recommendation for the low season if you're not into entertainment, pools and other bells and whistles.
