Also ideal for dogs as there is a country lane next to the campsite. There you can also walk through the forest or into the next village.
There is a bus stop at the site.
Opposite the campsite is a kiosk... where you can get sandwiches, a snack and delicious Italian ice cream. Next to it is the "Seeside" restaurant, which serves very good food.
Lake Chiemsee is not far away. You can have a good time on a large lawn. The water is very clear and had a temperature of 18 degrees at the beginning of June. (It seems warmer because it goes in very shallow)
The campsite is a very good starting point for cycling tours, excursions by car or hiking.
If you need a book, you can also borrow one. There is a playhouse and a playground for children.
This was our 2nd time here and it won't be the last!

The pitch itself is tidy and big enough for motorhomes and caravans with awnings and cars on the pitch. Opposite is a good restaurant with a beer garden and a kiosk that has all the essentials, including bread rolls for breakfast. The beach is 150m away and the town is within easy walking distance.NegatívneThe sanitary facilities have seen better times and should really be renewed, 50ct. for 3 min. shower is feasible but sporty.Nice place with small quirksOverall rating 3.5 out of 5

The campsite is usually full due to its location directly on Lake Chiemsee. However, the very active and hospitable operators usually find a place to stay for spontaneous travelers. The site is kept very clean, especially the outdated sanitary facilities.... This makes up a little for the fact that when the site is very busy
you have to wait in front of the showers and toilets.
Those who are happy with a more traditional camping experience will also feel at home here. A number of young families with children certainly seemed to like it.
The site is therefore not for the "discerning". We were allowed to choose our own pitch on arrival & take up as much space as we needed. We particularly liked the direct access to the Chiemsee. The boat landing stage is also within walking distance :)Automaticky preložené.

Beautiful site; we were at the back so that we heard little of the road and the chaotic motorcycles. The site has large enough pitches. Due to the situation at the time, we booked in advance, which made sense. The operators are very friendly. The... water is very hot, but not at the dishwashing points; lukewarm at best. The sanitary facilities are ok except for the showers. And there is a big drawback: the showers are outside (you enter a cubicle from the outside) and you stand on gratings. The area where you walk with flip-flops (!!) is ok, the other area is calcified and covered in algae. In addition, the shower water runs off underneath you. As there is mud from previous showers, it smells quite bad.
I urgently ask the operators to make improvements here: Suggest dummy mats on the non-accessible areas. Showers cost €0.50 for just under 3 minutes.
Otherwise, a very good hygiene concept should be emphasized: There are 4 disinfectant bottles at the entrance to the toilets. These are used to disinfect the toilet seats after use. If the bottles are not there, the toilets are occupied and you have to wait outside.
According to the homepage, electricity should be billed according to consumption. A meter was not read, but in the end we were charged € 2.50 / day for electricity. So you can also sanitize ...
To the lake it is about 2 minutes under a road underpass. At the place the restaurant Kupferschmiede, which we did not visit: too many motorcycles.

The site is small but also easy to drive on with larger vehicles. Only separated from the lake by a road. The pitches are fine in terms of size. Noisy in summer because of the motorcyclists.Camping directly on the Chiemsee beach and on the Chiemsee cycle pathWell-kept, almost flat grass pitches, some under large trees, electricity at the pitch, water taps not far away. Sanitary building not heated and poorly lit, otherwise very clean. For showers you need 50 cent coins, better 2! Beach and cycle path very close. Book corner available! Lunch break 12 to 14... o'clock, barrier was open and we were let in after a briefing. Dogs no problem. "Kupferschmiede" restaurant just across the road, we had a very good meal there and were served very nicely. There is also a well-known motorcycle meeting place here! With a motorcycle helmet wash :-D We also took a short bike ride here! On the north bank to Gstadt, where the boats leave for Fraueninsel. After a coffee with a wonderful view, back the same way. There and back 21km. By the way, they do NOT take bicycles on the boats.
