Campsite is one of the weakest I have visited in F
The site is located at the end of the island and could be a real gem if the operator made it so. The entrance is modern and very neatly designed, so you can look forward to a well-kept and tidy site. The two stars also promise more than I received. In addition to the daily flat rate of €21 for a car... and caravan or tent, there is a 50 ct personal tax. The pitches are marked but not separated by vegetation. Many have electricity. Disposal is very unfavorable in the drive-through area, especially as this is also the way to the open wash house used jointly by men and women, which also has a scullery and washing machines. Children's showers and toilets for children under 6 are completely open in the room. The showers are acceptable in a barrack style. The toilets are lower prison standard simple ceramic bowls without glasses. The ventilation of the ceramic basins is not led out of the building, so that fecal water escapes from the back of the ventilation openings during a flush. The urinal is quite visible. The floor in the toilet area was quite wet and unpleasant, so I only visited this area with closed shoes and shorts. It is important to note that there is no toilet paper at all and visitors have to bring their own. There is no shelf or hook in the cubicle, which makes going to the toilet an acrobatic experience. The washroom is cleaned sparingly. The pitch was not fully booked. The sea air on the pitch provides a constant breeze, but it smells distinctly of wet dog. To sum up, the campsite does not really deserve the two stars it is advertised as having. I will turn my planned three days into 14 hours.

Wind-prone location
Larger site with around 220 pitches. We received a very friendly welcome in English and were able to choose a pitch. Only a few pitches have natural shade from trees. With a bit of luck, there is also a sea view. As a rule, the pitches consist of grass with sand or vice versa. The pitches are usually... generously sized, but there are no boundaries, e.g. hedges. On and in front of the campsite towards the sea there are bunkers from the 2nd World War. Wifi is available free of charge for 1 hour if you provide an email address. The sanitary facilities are separated by gender. No glasses, no paper. At the end of August, we paid just under €25 for a camper van with 2 people and electricity. The town, where there are a few restaurants and bars, is less than 5 minutes away. The bakery is only about 150m away.

Campsite for older people with not so high demands on sanitary facilities and space. Unfortunately, the staff has changed negatively in recent years. Reception has been rebuilt, staff more arrogant and less interested. After spending my vacation there for almost 10 years (the first time in 1972) I will probably no longer spend my vacation there. Too bad

Campsite in an interesting location, on the extreme north-western tip of the Ile de Noirmoutier. The northern half of the campsite is sheltered from the wind, but without a sea view; the southern side is completely unprotected with a sea view. Sand and storm gear (for awnings) recommended; free Wifi... during reception office hours; two sanitary buildings that are clean and functional. Site is suitable as a starting point for long bike and foot hikes. Courteous and helpful site team.
