A terror.Lima Escape was once good. Now it's average or weak!!!The service at reception is poor. The Adega do Artur restaurant in the park has been closed down. The snack bar is extremely poor. It's slow and favors foreign tourists. My wife and I had to be rude and aggressive with an employee and... we immediately left the campsite... not only because of the terrible... service, but also because of the excess of insects (flies, mosquitoes, wasps, etc). Poor hygiene or carelessness? The camp's streets are neither swept nor cleaned. Many of the trees are unsafe. You only have to walk around the park to see situations that could jeopardize the safety of campers! Night-time silence is not respected. The complaints book is well filled. The park was once considered one of the best in Europe. Now it's a stain. First of all, thank you for your review and your time!
We're sorry to hear that your experience didn't go according to your expectations.
For our part, and for the absolute majority of our visitors, we are pleased to say that the conditions at our campsite are improving all the time.... For our part, we always try to do our best to serve all our visitors well, but there is always some human factor that can get in the way.
As for the bar service - this year it was our biggest novelty which, from the point of view of most of our visitors, was a pleasant change and has a very adequate response to the style of our campsite.
For our part, we have to admit that at peak times there can be some delays in service, but it is very regrettable when a visitor after making a horrible fuss here on the terrace of our bar (the way the other visitors felt but on the verge of such aggression) writes comments that are worse than each other on all sides/platforms accessible only with the feeling of revenge and with the intention of leaving a stain on our reputation.
We are very sorry for what happened and for the attitudes shown. We don't have much to reply to the lies presented in this comment.

Silence & tranquility (mosquito May month = Holy Mary month!). Extensive natural area hiking, multi-day trips, MTB. Ponte da Barca at 6 to 7 km for shopping; nice town with good bakeries, good restaurants. Ponte de Lima, +/- 25km, relatively large city with "all the trimmings"! Place officially closed from 23.00 - 8.00, also... for pedestrians. Wanted to leave the site at 8.10am with mountain bikes and couldn't get out. The tipi tent is very comfortable. The staff are very friendly, you can feel the affection and respect for the surroundings in everything, especially from dear Ana. It´s very clean, shady and calm place good for relaxation and pure contact with the nature… The Camping site has good restaurant with tasty local dishes (including... some vegetarian suggestions) and the Bar with Sport TV and some life concerts. Together with the zone for camping and for caravans the site also has some Glamping accommodation of Bungalows and Tipi tents. For day activities the camping has bike and kayak rentand wide range of walking trails…
- jose s.July 2014Pozitívneclama, nature, portegida landscape of peneda gerês national parkby the River Lima I sat down and escaped...I had the privilege of being one of the first to try out the bungalow, one of the glamping options. The experience was very rewarding for my children who had the opportunity to play safely in the park before we had dinner in the park's pleasant restaurant "Adega do Artur", with a menu of typical dishes... from the region and a very cozy atmosphere. The experience of sitting on the balcony during the evening twilight, with nothing but the sounds of the pine and oak trees, the shy birds that we glanced at from time to time, allowed it to be a moment of peace. My purpose of the stay was to rest and recharge my batteries between weeks of hard work. The stay was so peaceful and the privacy of the bungalow allowed me to lie in bed looking out of the window - although exhausted, the sunrise woke me up and I had the gift of seeing the whole sunrise, 5:30-07:00 - with the calm waters of the Lima River mirroring the golden light through the surrounding greenery in shades of yellow-orange. It's like having a hotel room with all the comforts in the forest! I'm looking forward to repeating the experience - and so are my children! :)Automaticky preložené.
