- Lars H.June 2018PozitívnePlace in Växjö! Center about 5km awayNegatívneNot necessarily family-friendlySpace for visitors to VäxjöA site on the outskirts of Växjö for people who also want to visit the city. Unfortunately, there is little here for children and the sanitary facilities are not family-friendly. Some of the pitches have asphalt, which can be practical.Automaticky preložené.
- René S.August 2017PozitívneNothing reallyNegatívneMainly the, in our eyes, almost outrageous price for what the place offersIf we had read here before......then we would probably have gone to a different campsite! We chose this campsite spontaneously because we made a detour to meet up with friends. But even then we would have left the site and met up somewhere else. The part of the town in Växjö around it is actually quite nice to look at. There is... a small park, mini golf, a diving tower with a diving station etc.! But all these things are not part of the actual campsite. W-LAN is available as a per-minute budget with poor reception and low speed, but at least it's free. The whole place looked quite unkempt (I'll leave the construction site out of it, because it's hard to do without making a mess). Some of the pitches are just made of earth which naturally turns to mud when wet. The sanitary building was quite dark, the cabins really cramped, and in some places you could already see mold on the ceilings and walls. The welcome and farewell were anything but friendly and the price was the most expensive in the whole three weeks in Sweden. In addition, there was aircraft noise late into the night (not frequent, but quite low and clearly audible) as well as adjacent music/exhaust systems from the local car tuning scene. Our conclusion: Never again, even if the price was significantly reduced. The only positive thing was the beautiful sunset in the evening after it had rained on and off all day.Automaticky preložené.
- Gerhild S.July 2017PozitívneCleanNegatívneShower time runs out even if the water is not runningNice campsite with many possibilitiesNice campsite Nice and clean Unfortunately we got the worst place because we were only one night. Right next to the mini golf course, absolutely uneven. We couldn't get it level with our clubs. The showers cost 5 crowns for four minutes - actually okay.... If the time didn't run out when the water is turned off, I personally think that's pretty cheeky.Automaticky preložené.
- Ulrich N.August 2016TidyPlace recommended in the off-season. Some improvements to the older reviews can be seen. On the whole, it's a good place to stay. Nice mini golf course.Automaticky preložené.
- Martin K.May 2016PozitívneLocation close to Växjö. Easy to reach by bike. Many cycle paths. Adjacent park beautiful.NegatívneRelatively little on offer for the money.More expected ...We were there in mid-May and were somewhat disappointed. Some things still seemed to be under construction (paving of sanitary building unfinished, some washrooms closed, missing ceiling panels in scullery). Washrooms and shower cubicles were comparatively small. Children's playground in the camp rather... poor because of outdated/disassembled equipment. Good playground for smaller children on the nearby beach. Minigolf in the camp rather expensive (60 SEK for adults, 40 SEK for children).Automaticky preložené.
- Klaus B.August 2014PozitívneGood place to explore the nearby city.Negatívnerelatively expensiveSimple but expensive spaceWe only stayed two nights because we wanted to see Växjö.the sanitary facilities and the kitchen with dining room are a bit small, but clean.the place is well maintained and as a tent camper you have relatively much space on the assigned plot (end of August).Automaticky preložené.
- Ulrich M.August 2013A campsite in a beautiful lakeside location on the edge of the city with a bus connection to the center. The pitch is "average" - sanitary facilities are OK and clean. Some of the pitches are quite small. Reception staff are friendly and the range of stores is "manageable". The mini-golf course is a real highlight, although it is always busy. If you are looking for a quiet pitch, avoid the area near the mini golf course.Automaticky preložené.
- Hans-Rudolf B.July 2013The fixed pitches are very small for Scandinavia - but the price is all the "bigger". In my 8 Scandinavian trips lasting several weeks, I have never seen such a poor price-performance ratio anywhere!Automaticky preložené.
- Michael D.July 2012My Camping Card International (CCI), which had been accepted everywhere for years, was not accepted here. No effort was made to make the CKE (with magnetic strip), supposedly the only camping card still accepted in Sweden since Jan. 2012, palatable to me or to sell it to me. Reasons? For information: The site was not full. (according to guests in front of the entrance) Too bad!Automaticky preložené.
- Kirsten s.July 2012After 4 years we visited this site again with our camper van and were quite disappointed. There are 2 sanitary areas, an old one with toilet cubicles, washbasins, showers and a pee basin, as this is the old men's area, and 2 unisex corridors with showers, washbasins and toilets. The ventilation in the... unisex area is so poor that huge areas of mold have formed in the showers. In addition, some locking bolts were missing and overall this area is very unkempt. I did not use the other area, but it looks much better maintained. In the kitchen area there are 6 washing up areas in 2 rooms. As the larger room (with dining tables and TV) has the hobs next to the sinks, the space is very cramped. The existing draining grids are therefore partly above the hotplates, either the plates get wet or, if you have cooked before, you cannot put the dishes on the grids because they are too hot. There is also a hood dishwasher (use costs 5 SKR = 0.60 €). As an attraction, the campsite now offers a mini-golf course. For this "luxury" you pay 315 SKr = 37.70 € per night with electricity, whereby the use of the shower 5 SKR for 3 min. still has to be paid extra! That was probably (unfortunately) the last time I stayed there.Automaticky preložené.
- Daniel H.August 2011Unfortunately not a nice place, most of the pitches are concreted. Leisure facilities are available, including a very good restaurant. However, the prices are far too high, despite the Camping Card Scandinavia I paid 350 SEK for one night. (1 bike, 1 tent, 1 person.)Automaticky preložené.
- Mathias H.July 2010The place no longer exudes the coziness of the 80s. It now looks a bit run-down and unkempt overall. The sanitary and kitchen area was undersized in high season. Only the very beautiful HELGASJÖN with its great water sports facilities tempts you to stay.Automaticky preložené.
- Helmut M.June 2010A Swe Camp site - the lowest level. Nothing fancy, except expensive. New sanitary building is said to be under construction.Automaticky preložené.
