- Kerstin I.September 2019PozitívneLocation near the castles, beautiful pitches, sunny or shady depending on your taste, peace and quietNegatívnepoorly maintained sanitary facilities, no lightingThe castles are a must-seeIf you want to visit Chambord and Cherverny, this is the place for you. Both castles are easy to reach by bike, as is the town of Blois, which is well worth a visit. The cycle paths are well-maintained and fully signposted. You can get a map of the cycle paths at reception, which is easy to follow. The... pitches are located in a sparse forest and are generously parceled out. In the off-season, 2 of the 4 sanitary buildings are open, which is absolutely sufficient. The sanitary buildings seem to be quite new. Unfortunately, they are only cleaned superficially. The sanitary facilities are clean, but the floors do not seem to be mopped regularly. Some of the containers with the toilet brushes are literally covered in cobwebs in the corners of the cubicles. They have not been moved for a long time to clean behind them. There are also plenty of cobwebs on the partition walls. The cleaning staff should simply look up and remove them, as well as the remains of birds that must have strayed into the building. There is also a lot of untreated wood in the sanitary facilities, some of which has become unsightly due to the damp. Although the toilets have a different entrance to the building than the showers and wash cubicles, everything inside the building is open at the top. This allows the "smells" from the toilet area to spread unhindered into the showers. The lighting also leaves a lot to be desired. There is separate lighting with motion detectors above each shower, but unfortunately hardly any of them work reliably. If you want to move around the site in the dark, you should take a good flashlight with you, as the site is completely unlit.Automaticky preložené.
- Rainer S.July 2019PozitívneClose to nature, Chambord very easy to reach by bike, good new bikes and pedelecs for hire on site Location essentially quietNegatívneCold or scalding hot showers & rinse water No lighting and hooks in many cabins Chemical WC only at the entrance. Insufficient organizationConceptually very good, camper suitability for everyday use inadequateHello We were on the course for a few days. I really like the idea of huttopia. Something more natural than the origin of camping. The site is wonderfully located for visiting Schaumburg Castle by bike. It's 8 km away and you cycle far from the road on beautiful paths, partly through the forest. It is... very casual and you can sit in the park on a bench or many people even sat on the grass dot. I am actually a connection muffen and went there for the love of my wife but I really liked it. I also really liked the campsite. But there are a lot of things that are just annoying and that should be fixed, I think. I'll write them here, maybe someone from huttopia will read them. The campsite has two new sanitary buildings - they are very modern in design with square washbasins, my huge glass front and so on and so forth - and nothing has been spared, which I find a bit contrary to the actual philosophy. Even worse. The function of the sanitary building is poor. 80% of the showers have cold water. 20% of the showers have hot water over 60 degrees. If you catch a hot shower, you have to put all your clothes back on and choose another shower. And that although there is a very expensive water tap in the shower that could regulate the temperature. and there is also a cold water and a hot water pipe in the shower, which is much more expensive than at most campsites in France but unfortunately failed in practice. in the dishwashing area, everyone got the water from the laundry sink because what came out of the dishwashing sink was ice cold no matter how you turned the knob, but that was it. the stream textile sink was 70 to 90 degrees so you could scald yourself. All in all, I think you should take a look at the actual situation and consult the installation company because with such an expensive installation it is a complete underperformance. Most showers lack hooks for hanging up clothes. What use is the most beautiful cubicle in modern colors and a beautiful aluminum finish profile, which could have been saved, if in the end there is no hook on which I can hang my clothes? There are also no garbage cans in the cubicles with washbasins. There is no light in several of the showers because the motion detector no longer works, and they have installed a motion detector and a corresponding lamp in every cubicle at great expense. I have never seen anything like it on a campsite. The background may well be what you want to do in a more natural and environmentally friendly way, but if it doesn't work, it's worse than a lone light that does its job in the top of the voting booth. the doors into the sanitary building are about 1.20 m wide and have full-surface double glazing and an aluminum frame. overall, the construction is very heavy and is also held shut with a closer with a lot of tension. Difficult for children to open. The same applies to the disabled cabin, which is accessible with a very large door that has a glass panel over the entire surface. The cleaning of the building was just so-so. This is in stark contrast to the chic sanitary building that has been built and you can see in several corners that it is already starting to show traces of dirt and is slowly passing away. Many old municipal campsites are much cleaner. Some things would have been more with less. The square washbasins are placed on wooden grates. The wooden grates protrude 20 cm to the right and left of the washbasins and are therefore visually very attractive, but you can already see that the wood is slowly being eaten away by the water. So it would have been much better to have simply made a grating on which the washbasin stands that doesn't protrude to the right and left and be done with it. And it would also have been easier to clean. The staff at reception speak high-speed French and high-speed English, as several guests at the campsite have confirmed. ... And the whole thing at a very low volume. It may be chic, modern and youthful, but it is simply inappropriate and behind you. I called the place and asked if I could just drop by to see if there was still a space available. A young man gave me an answer in such high-speed English that, despite asking three times, I only understood half of it at most and then just drove there on the off-chance. That can't be the point. On arrival, I was told that we wanted a place in the shade. The young lady said she didn't know the pitch and we would just be given a number and then we could have a look and if it didn't suit we could swap. That's how it was. On the one hand very relaxed and nice yes but on the other hand I don't understand if you don't know the pitch at all and the first pitch we got was in full sun. others I spoke to got a pitch that had no electricity where they wanted electricity. That's what happens when you don't know the pitch. 2 days we put bread on the second day the order was incomplete. Nevertheless, I would like to say that I like the huttopia concept and I think it's good that a group is standing up and saying okay, we want to do more camping close to nature again. However, the whole thing is a bit top-heavy. The campsite concept, which has probably been worked out with a lot of energy and time, is good, but it also needs people who can set up a normal campsite and ensure its daily operation A place where it is simply clean and where hot water comes out of a shower and the husband can wish for a leaf and get information on whether or not you can still get something like that on the site and so on and so forth And I have a little hope that things will hopefully settle down to normal everyday life.Automaticky preložené.
- Jürgen W.May 2016Pozitívnemany activities possible.Negatívnewe have not found any.Good starting point for cycling tours with castle tourThe campsite is also the tourist office, so they are very well stocked with information about the surrounding area. Most of the site was under water due to the heavy rainfall. But the one sanitary block that was open was warm. There was hot water for showering, washing and dishwashing. There was enough... space in the reception/restaurant, even for groups. Only here there was also WLAN via PIN. You could also order your baguette here the evening before. You could also cycle and walk to the nearby village. There is also a chocolate factory with a store next to the campsite. The campsite is also ideal for cycling tours with or without locks. A cycling map is available at reception. The routes can be easily linked together.Automaticky preložené.
- Erik P.August 2014Friendly managed campsite with large and beautiful pitchesOccupied by a large number of tents in the high season. The pitches are large and sometimes huge. Overall, the pitch area makes a very natural impression and you stand under and between large trees. Nevertheless, you don't have to do without electricity. Ideally located for visiting the castles in the... region. There were discounted tickets for some of them at reception. The site was not fully booked even in the high season, so it can probably be used without booking in advance.Automaticky preložené.
- Harm M.August 2013This was one of the best places on our tour of France. Located in a nice little village, away from the main tourist crowds. Nevertheless, ideal as a base for visiting castles (Chambord, Blois, etc.). Very close to nature. Flat, semi-shady or shady pitches that you can choose yourself. Pitches with electricity... can also be used without electricity for self-sufficient caravans. Very large tent area. Three new sanitary blocks (must have been completely renovated in 2012). Very modern and cleaned several times a day. Hot showers included. New reception with lounge and restaurant. There is free WLAN and you can watch TV, read or eat something. Fresh baguettes and croissants are available to order in the morning. Very friendly, nice and cheerful staff. The communal outdoor pool next to the campsite is included in the price and can also be used! We gladly made use of it when it was 39 degrees and sunny. Despite the main season, the site was only about 80% full. You could easily stay here for 1-2 weeks. We liked it very much and would be happy to recommend it to others.Automaticky preložené.
