Directly on the coast
Manageable campsite right next to the moderately busy coastal road. Very friendly welcome, uncomplicated even when we had to stay on our pitch longer than required due to engine damage on the day of departure. The sanitary facilities are heated and, as is usual in England, have separate hot and cold... water taps. Showers and toilets may be scarce in the HS, but they are clean and heated. The site itself is a large meadow area with paved pitches for motorhomes and caravans. There is also a meadow for tents. The pitches are generously sized and thanks to the firm ground there are no problems with mud etc. even when it rains. We liked it very much. There are no shops directly on the site, but there are shops 500 m away. WiFi costs 2.50 pounds per day, 2 days 4 pounds. The road was not too noisy for us, you only had to cross it and we were by the sea. Good locations for trips to Berwick, Holy Island, Alnwick Bamburgh etc. We will be back.
