Hiking and MTB tours start right at the campsite. The sanitary facilities are clean. The operators are really nice and the bread rolls and cakes are very good.
The sausage vending machine with regional products is great and there is a supermarket within walking distance for other provisions.

It is well run and has a family atmosphere, a beer garden right by the pond, easy access with turning facilities for caravans and external parking spaces etc. It is possible to book rental accommodation (caravans & lodges). Very fair value for money. Camping in its original form - close to nature!!!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.- Orland M.August 2018NegativeThere are rats on the campsite. 4 rats on the meadow in front of the building with showers, registration and garden restaurant, discovered on the evening of arrival. The next day, less than 10 meters from the pitch, another rat came out of a rat hole (entrance to the building). Later comment from the... operator, in response to my reproach regarding the rats (amused): There are rats on every campsite! We had checked in for longer, but then left on the evening of the same day after another negative event. We had our Labrador dog and an 8-week-old hunting dog puppy with us. It got loose at a place (the edge of a slope) where no tent or caravan can be pitched. My wife had the bag in her hand and removed it immediately. The operator saw this and started a completely superfluous and unobjective discussion. Of course, there was not a single bag in the dog toilet on either of the two days. (We have enough ourselves) As a result, I realized that dog owners are basically unwanted. To be fair, it should also be mentioned that the operator later relented and suggested that we should only leave the next morning. And we liked it so much that we are considering going there again to explore the beautiful area in less heat, close to nature, lots of play opportunities for children, natural swimming pool with spring water, kiosk with a varied range of food, bread roll service and much more. Booking and confirmation went smoothly, as did the communication with the operator in advance. The registration and allocation of pitches went smoothly. The site is dominated by permanent campers and is equipped and set up accordingly.... Sanitary facilities: The sanitary facilities are really outdated and inadequate for the number of campers on the campsite, and if cleaning is interrupted, the "old-fashioned" impression is emphasized. Even the sanitary facilities are separated into permanent campers and vacation guests according to the site plan. Now in the high season, everyone was allowed to use everything. What is annoying is the constant unlocking of the large roller shutter and the use of shower tokens. The site is very clearly laid out, has a natural swimming pool (first with tadpoles and relatively bright water - later unfortunately green but maybe that's the way it has to be). There is a small children's playground and outside you... can go for a very good walk, even with a dog. The arrival and departure is uncomplicated and we were always warmly welcomed. They still have the shower tokens;-))))) Here too, you should remember that. The first time you put the token in and the water rushed off, now you put it in, hear a pump and shower as needed until the time is up. The sanitary facilities were mostly clean and well maintained. I only noticed that within these 8 weeks mold spread everywhere on the ceiling in the permanent camper area of the ladies, I found it violent how quickly it developed. Sanitary facilities a little olderThere is nothing more to add to the name "Odenwaldidyll"!My grandson and I spent a few days at this campsite. The welcome was friendly, courteous and informative. The natural swimming lake delights children, teenagers and adults. Ideal starting point for hiking, cycling or mountain biking. Beach volleyball and football pitch on a small hill. Next larger town... approx. 5 km away. There are well-known supermarkets and discount stores here. Bread roll service at the CP o.k. Snack bar and restaurant offers inexpensive and tasty dishes. Sanitary facilities clean but a little older. The access from the opposite CP/ZP to the sanitary building is somewhat uneven and narrow. Although the path is illuminated, it is still advisable to take a flashlight with you. There are a few tripping hazards on the way to the sanitary facilities. Big J.May 2016Olumlu yanlarıNatural swimming pool, choice of bread service, large network of hiking trailsOlumsuz yanlarıSituation in the sanitary facilities, bumpy path to the wash house past the restaurantNatural swimming pool in the OdenwaldWe stayed at the "Odenwaldidyll" campsite in Fischbachtal from 13/05/2016 to 16/05/2016 with 2 adults, 2 children (aged 7 & 9) and a camper van with awning. We paid €25.00 including showers as pitch rental with the ACSIcard (W-LAN chargeable). The contact by email was very friendly, a reservation could... be confirmed by scan or fax. The campsite is well signposted. The approach is somewhat complicated, but the local conditions are pragmatically solved by a generous and well-signposted waiting loop. The site is nestled against the ascent to Lichtenberg Castle. The site is divided into permanent camper and tourist areas, which is a good solution overall. In the center of the site is the publicly accessible natural swimming pool, the associated kiosk and the wash house installed in the same building. However, the reference to "state-of-the-art sanitary facilities" in the ACSI guide is disappointed. Despite the separation from the washrooms for permanent campers, the two toilets and three urinals are probably not sufficient when the site is full. We did not find the existing facilities to be exceptional. We were also not impressed by the cleanliness on the Whitsun weekend. In addition to limescale stains on the floor tiles, unfilled toilet paper and missing paper towels for the ladies, I was particularly annoyed by a dry urinal for the men, which was neither blocked nor repaired. As a result, the men's sanitary facilities unfortunately smelled like one of the former highway laboratories. The showers are coin-operated, but with an intermittent duration of 7 minutes for €0.50, they are adequately timed. The parceled-out pitches are generously sized and partly fenced off with hedges. Electricity and water were directly available at our pitch. The playground, swimming pool, table tennis table, table football, volleyball and soccer pitch on the local mountain offer variety for children of all ages. Dog owners will be particularly interested in the dog playground and dog shower as well as the adjacent forest. Each pitch has an outside parking space. The entrances are secured by lockable doors. The very new-looking lodges are ideal for a combination camping trip with friends. We did not test the food in the beer garden/kiosk. You can put in an order form for the bread roll service until 21:00 in the evening. This time we didn't get to explore the surrounding area in more detail. There are wonderful hiking trails right next to the campsite, and if you're interested in geocaching, you should take a look at Country Doc's caches in particular - we spent a very special Whitsun Sunday with them. Following a recommendation, we went to eat at the "Odenwälder Hexenhaus", which you should really try. Due to the climbs in the Odenwald, the area is particularly suitable for mountain bikers rather than touring cyclists.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

We were there in October, there is certainly a lot more going on in summer. We had a very nice pitch right by the lake. Clean sanitary facilities, bread roll service works well, the tenant family is very friendly. Lots of excursion and hiking opportunities in the surrounding area. There is plenty on offer for kids, and in the months of June-August it is even supervised by the DLRG. The sanitary facilities are always clean and the kiosk offers everything from ice cream to hot meals at reasonable prices. The surrounding area is perfect for a nice hike. The shower coins didn't bother us as 7 minutes is more than enough. Bread rolls are available to order in advance and are really tasty. The Marx family is always available for any worries and also for fun. We felt very comfortable, we are 2 adults, 2 children 6 and 8 and our dog! A second cleaning would have been advisable when fully occupied. But there were disinfectant dispensers in the cabins so that you could clean your glasses. The bread roll service worked great and the shopping... facilities on offer were sufficient for us. We liked the peace and quiet and the great surroundings with interesting excursion destinations and we intend to go there again. - Michael S.June 2011We spent a long weekend here over Whitsun to visit friends. So we weren't on the pitch most of the time. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained, only the system with the shower tokens takes some getting used to. Seven minutes for 50 cents, but the time also runs when there is no water.... We... know better systems (e.g. Südseecamp in the Lüneburger Heide = 180 sec. hot water for 15 cents) The site is natural, but very well maintained. The kiosk offers small meals, drinks and a bread roll service. The rating of 3.5 would actually be correct, but unfortunately this is not possible. A 4.0 would be too high, as, for example, no EC card payment is possible and there is no "proper" store.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
