Great campsite right by the sea with great facilities
We spent a great vacation on a very nice campsite. The welcome at reception was friendly and the briefing was very good. We had booked a Luxury Mare pitch, which was very large and it was only a few steps to the sea. The beach was very nice and always well maintained and clean. The sun loungers and parasols... were free of charge. The sanitary facilities were also spotless and always clean. The supermarket and restaurant were just around the corner from us. The supermarket had everything you need and a large selection of bread rolls. The restaurant had a very nice terrace with a sea view and you can't complain about the food either. The people, whether in the supermarket, the restaurant or the cleaning staff, were totally friendly. There was also a beach bar serving coffee, ice cream, pastries and snacks. Next to the reception there was also a small store with magazines and other bits and bobs.
Rovinj is a wonderful place with small streets, lots of stores and restaurants.
We also had a mobile home for our daughter, which was also very nice and clean.

A very tidy site, clean and beautifully designed and not as big as many other sites in the area. The sanitary facilities are very good and well maintained. Cleaning was carried out several times a day, even in the last days of the season! The supermarket and vegetable shop has everything you need. Bread rolls and cakes were of good quality. We also liked the campsite restaurant. Pizza and fish were very tasty. If you want to have an ice cream or coffee, you can do so in the separate area by the swimming pool. The swimming pool is well designed if you don't want to go into the sea! The beach area with loungers is also beautifully designed and you can swim in the sea very well here.

A processing fee of € 30,- will be charged for a booking by e-mail! This is not in the price list but as a note in the mail to the booking request! One has the feeling of hidden costs!

Overall, we liked the place very much! It was very nice there! Rovinj was easy to reach by bike.

The location directly on the pebble beach is ideal.
The sanitary buildings are very spacious and always clean. Shopping facilities and restaurant very good.
Bicycle path for sightseeing Rovinj very good.
Beach chairs and umbrellas free of charge.
Several small pools available and very clean.
Different pitch categories and therefore reasonable prices possible in the rear area.
Very nice demarcation of the plots by hedges.

Already expensive even in the pre-season
Very large CP, clean, high price
The camping season has just started, so of course it was still wonderfully empty and quiet. It would be too crowded here in the high season. It was always clean. Restaurant on site. Food was ok. Store with a good range and delicious bread rolls + pastries. Good price! There is still room for improvement... in the friendliness of the staff ;-). Wellness on site, pool, rental bikes...we didn't use any of it. There is also glamping and you can rent mobile homes.

We liked it, but it wasn't very busy and therefore very quiet. Dogs are not allowed.

Beach bar closes too early, so in the evening you don't have the opportunity to have a cocktail with nice music in the late evening hours, bike path to Rovinj not lit enough
Beautiful campsite for families
Basically, the campsite can be fully recommended. The site is beautifully laid out, very clean at all times of the day and night and offers everything you need for a great summer vacation. We thought it was great that the sun loungers on the beach were included in the price. What is less great is that... there is actually the phenomenon of people reserving sunbeds even when camping. That's incredibly cheeky. This could perhaps be counteracted with a sun lounger allocation system. We know this from Club Camping Jesolo, where it's very well regulated.

We liked the restaurant. We highly recommend the Tipico Green Garden restaurant, about 500 meters from the campsite. It's a bit more expensive, but the food is very, very tasty.

We personally didn't find the route to Rovinj ideal. The way there is not very well lit or not lit at all. The way back in the evening is therefore not particularly safe, especially with children.

The sea is very clear and clean, except directly at the salt works.

Unfortunately, the beach bar closes at 8pm and the restaurant at 10pm, so you don't have the opportunity to have a cocktail or something. We personally missed that.

But the place is highly recommended for families with small children. Teenagers will probably find it rather boring after a while. r

If you shy away from huge campsites with lots of hustle and bustle but still want something to do, this is the place for you.
A sufficient number of beach loungers are provided free of charge and children can also use the water playgrounds on the sea free of charge, which is definitely not a matter of... course these days.
On the whole, there is nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
We had a Luxery Mare pitch and it offered enough space
enough space for a caravan, awning + car.
We would love to come back.

The site is not too big, the pitches are mostly well located, partly terraced, mostly with a sea view. Very large beach on a quiet bay, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, free of charge. The fruit and vegetable stall is very well stocked, and the supermarket also has plenty of choice. The restaurant is very good, especially the fish and seafood dishes and the pizzas are great. The campsite faces west, with beautiful sunsets.

The pitches in the rear part of the campsite between the restaurant and the end of the campsite are filled with loud live music from the restaurant twice a week. There are too few but always clean sanitary facilities in this part of the site.
Great location, very large beach
We stayed at the campsite from mid-June to the beginning of July 2022 and had a great time. It was just a bit too hot, but we have this problem more and more often throughout Europe. If you have booked in the rear part of the campsite between the restaurant and the end of the campsite (fence to the naturist... campsite), the restaurant plays live music twice a week, which is not always a feast for the ears. There is also a separate sanitary building in this part of the campsite, but it is a little too small. It is also only open to the square. This means that steam builds up during peak times and the so-called "sauna effect" occurs, especially in the showers.
The campsite faces west and is located on a wide bay. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset there almost every day. However, many a naked person from the nudist campsite paddles in front of the camera lens on their SUP.
The beach is very large and wide and there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols, all free of charge. Dogs are also not allowed, which we were very pleased about.

There are also some nice konobas near the campsite with simple and delicious food. As Rovinj is not far away, you can also eat well there and do some great shopping in several large supermarkets.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location
Nice place. We had a pitch relatively high up. Therefore a great view but also a longer walk to get bread rolls in the morning. Pitches vary in size. Good restaurant with a great view of the sunset. Clean sanitary facilities.

Quite expensive reservation, which is not credited. The reception staff had the same cordiality as a German employee of a public authority just before lunch break... professionally correct, but without any attempt at friendly customer-oriented behavior, e.g. the simple question of whether it was a pleasant stay. Staffing the 2nd till in the store at 'peak times' (08:00 - 09:00) would not be a bad idea.
Very nice CP - pleasantly 'small' for Istria
We were there in Sep'21 with 2 people and our caravan. Large parceled pitch 'Luxury Mare' at the far end near the restaurant.
Very spacious CP - if you stay 'at the wrong end', it's quite far to the store.
Everything very spacious / Everything very clean! / No queuing at the (very well-kept) wash house... / Well-stocked store with various fresh and crispy bread rolls - sometimes queues here because only one till is occupied and the whole CP comes to get bread rolls. Very nicely laid out beach (round pebbles) with fixed umbrellas and sunbeds (free of charge). The restaurant was always well attended, varied menu with moderate prices. There was live music on Tuesdays and Fridays, but it wasn't disruptive and went on until 22:30 at the latest.
We will definitely be back again. The few small negative points -> see disadvantages

Simply great!
We stayed here for the first time on recommendation. Reception: polite, correct but a little cool. A little smile in between would do wonders. Pitch: We had booked a "Luxury Mare" pitch, it was not possible to reserve a specific pitch by number. However, a few days before our arrival we had requested... a few desired pitches by email and we were given one of them. The pitch itself was very clean, very nice view of the sea, but it could have been a bit bigger for our motorhome. In other words, it's best to specify the size of the vehicle when making an inquiry. Supermarket/fruit store: Well-stocked, the baked goods in particular were very extensive and simply tasted good. That's how it should be! The fruit store also had everything a camper's heart desires. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always in a good mood! It should also be noted that you can only pay in the local currency and not in euros. Card payment is of course possible. Restaurant: The menu leaves nothing to be desired, good value for money, friendly and courteous staff. Reservations are recommended. Sanitary facilities: Very clean at all times of the day and night. The cleaning staff (felt to be constantly present and permanently on duty) deserves an extra star! Overall impression/conclusion: Beautiful, very well-kept complex, fantastic views (sea including dolphins) and fabulous sunsets. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at this campsite in August 2022. Great at first sight and we were very impressed. Wash houses always clean and tip top.

Then our children got sick too. First our older son. Conclusion: impetigo - antibiotics and ointment. After a few days, our little son got sick too.

We asked at the campsite... because it is well known and you read reviews about it again and again. During our visit to the doctor alone, we met 4 other children with the same diagnosis. This is unacceptable and cannot simply be tolerated at such a high-priced campsite. The response from the campsite was that you could catch it anywhere and that it wasn't clear that younger boys had it from there. It was then blamed on our children not practicing proper hygiene! I really think that was cheeky. What a shame, really great resort! However, we will definitely NOT be back. After all, you don't want to get sick on vacation!!!

Top campsite in an upscale price range
You can spend a really nice and relaxing vacation at Val Saline. The sanitary buildings, the pitches and the rest of the infrastructure are very well maintained and clean.
If, like us, you are looking for a quiet pitch, you should look at the Comfort or Standard categories. These pitches are also large... and parceled out with laurel hedges.
Of course, so much beauty has its price! The campsite's prices are at the upper limit. However, the price/performance ratio was still good. Whether we would pay more is questionable.

1st visit to Camp Val Saline
We spent our summer vacation in Croatia again.
It was our first time at the Val Saline campsite. The approach to the site was well signposted and led through picturesque Rovinj. Check in was quick and the staff very helpful. The pitches can be viewed before entering the campsite (depending on availability... of course).
The site plan is easy to recognize and the access roads are wide enough.
The terraced layout of the pitches is unique and easy to recognize thanks to the pitch numbers.
The ground is covered with gravel, as is usual in Croatia, and separated from each other by hedges. The Luxery Mare pitches have water/electricity and waste water connections.
The S4 sanitary block is a little older but is fully functional and very clean.
The cleaning staff are constantly on duty.
Unfortunately, the shower heads are permanently installed but you can make do with that.
The supermarket has a wide range of food and drinks. Fresh bread rolls and desserts are available every morning. They even sell camping equipment. There is a small fruit shop where you can get fresh fruit every day (highly recommended).
The beach is spacious and equipped with free parasols and plenty of sun loungers (something we have never experienced before). The food on offer in the restaurant is very varied and tasty.
The service at the beach bar was unfortunately not satisfactory as the staff seemed
the staff seemed overworked and gave every guest a stern look. There was a 30-minute wait for fries as they were prepared in slow motion.
There is definitely room for improvement here!
There are shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity which are also easy to reach by bike (Kaufland, Lidl).
Restaurant recommendations: Lastavica Grill, Tipico Green Garden

After visiting the campsite for the first time in the Corona year 2020, we were immediately convinced. The very positive experiences from last year have been confirmed again this time.
The staff at the campsite (whether service / cleaning or store) are always helpful and friendly. We had a pitch in the... first row, without a water connection (but that didn't bother us), because we were rewarded with a great view over the sea.
Sanitary building 3 is located in the middle of the area of the site that is the busiest, but unfortunately it is far too small... Sanitary building 4 was our alternative - a bit older, but always clean!!! Hygiene measures very good (disinfectant dispensers in every corner)
The beautiful town of Rovinj can be reached quickly by bus (stops right in front of the campsite) or by bike - and is always worth a visit.
Our conclusion: we will be back!!!

Beautifully situated campsite, the sea is wonderfully clean and easy to reach even for small children. Good restaurant, clean sanitary facilities, only downside. The division of the pitch categories (e.g. what is the premium) is not always comprehensible.

Very well-kept and quiet place
The Corona hygiene measures are strictly adhered to, but this only slightly disrupts the vacation. The beach loungers, as well as the sanitary and sports facilities, are disinfected daily. The staff are friendly and there are no disruptive parties on or around the campsite.

We were looking for a campsite to visit Rovinj. During our search, we came across Val Saline. Now we know that the bus is reliable. It stops at a total of 2 campsites before heading to the central bus station in Rovinj. Val Saline is the last stop. The cost is 40 kunars for a return ticket. We found... this offer to be very good.

In addition, the place was a real hit for us. Very friendly staff, whether pool bar, reception, cleaning staff,...
I have never experienced such low prices in a camping supermarket. Prices only slightly more expensive than the discounters. Pool and beach loungers not only cheap but free of charge. The beach is very nicely laid out. The small pool area too, with salt and freshwater pools.

On the other hand, the prices of the campsite are at the upper limit, but you can check them fairly on the Internet.

The CP has its own extensive wellness SPA offer. We (Corona year) did not book a massage, but the entrance to the area. We found 2 aroma showers, Turkish steam bath, Finnish sauna, Jaccuzi and comfortable loungers for 90 Kunar (120 minutes) to be very cheap.

There is also some outdoor fitness equipment, beach volleyball, badminton, soccer pitch and mini golf... All free of charge!

The pitches in the lower area are very nicely laid out, although it can get noisy in the area around the soccer pitch and volleyball court in the evening. However, it is very quiet around midnight at the latest.
However, the pitches in the upper area (the cheapest zone) require a decent climb. They also seemed very uneven and were sometimes in the blazing sun. You should take a good look at your pitch beforehand. However, it is no problem at all to have a look at the pitches before checking in, just ask at reception what is still available, leave your ID card and if you don't like it, pick it up and move on.

We will be back and highly recommend it!

- The pitch itself is surrounded by a hedge (privacy protection), electricity and water and (except for the cheapest category) on the pitch, pitches are quite large - Golf, table tennis, badminton, swimming pool... everything is included - beautifully landscaped beach with sea access - Swimming pool (there is something for all ages) - Sanitary facilities (modern, clean, there are even proper bathrooms with shower, WC, washbasin) - Proximity to Rovinj (can be reached by bike in 10 minutes) - for Croatia, the cycle paths here are very well developed and signposted

Not really a disadvantage, but the site is more in the direction of glamping. Not for people who prefer peace and quiet and individuality. There are a lot of Germans here. Whether you find that good or bad is also a matter of taste.
Top-maintained course with center-park character
I've actually already written everything down in the pros and cons. The course can be recommended without reservation!
