- Martin v.Haziran 2023Olumlu yanlarıLarge, very quiet pitches almost directly on the canal. Very clean sanitary building. Well-kept outdoor facilities in the pitch area. Reasonably priced restaurant. Friendly staff. Stress-free approach with large waiting area.Olumsuz yanlarıPoor value for money: We paid 148.00 euros for four nights on a comfort pitch in July 2023, but had no WiFi. No bread roll service.Beautiful and expensive!A large camping site with water sports and swimming facilities. Restaurant on site and in Güster, approx. 2 km away.
The comfort pitches with water and electricity connections are easy to reach and almost completely flat. Easy parking. We were almost directly on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal.
Nice: the peace... and quiet. You can't even hear anything from the nearby highway.
Conclusion: A little expensive, but nice and quiet.

This is generally not a problem, but we always ask again in advance. But instead of an answer, we unfortunately received a very rude - and also incorrect - instruction about tent stoves... on campsites. We then refrained from booking and ended the conversation when the operator's tone of voice became too abusive. If even the "service" (we believe it was the operator on the phone) is so unfriendly, then we believe that the friendliness on the site itself is not necessarily exemplary and our assumption is confirmed by the many similar reviews here and elsewhere. When we arrived we thought great place, great location, ideal for a weekend with dog and tent. Then we met the "boss". When we arrived at reception, she was making a real mess of other guests. It was quite... unpleasant for us, so we went around the corner with the dog - mistake. The lady immediately came after us and ordered us off the premises. Without even listening to us. She must have seen us at reception. Her husband also came and said - nothing. Impossible. We didn't allow ourselves to be insulted any further and left. - Petra S.Ağustos 2018Olumlu yanlarıNo commentOlumsuz yanlarıNo commentUnfriendly bossWe had a viewing appointment on Sunday at 15:00. As we had to drive 200km, we were already there at 12:00 and wanted to have lunch there. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. When we were on the square and walked a few meters, a car with a woman at the wheel came towards us. Without introducing herself and... in a totally snotty tone, she asked us what we wanted there and to leave the place immediately. I told her that we had a viewing appointment and we wanted to go to the restaurant. She didn't let me finish and kept telling us to leave the place immediately. We have never met such an unfriendly and arrogant person in 20 years of camping. No wonder there are so many free pitches on the site. As we had to drive 200km, we definitely wanted to have a look at the site at 3pm. So we went there again. The good man from the registration desk came to meet us and told us that the viewing appointment would not take place. There we found out that it was the boss who had treated us sooo unfriendly. After reading the reviews in the evening, we are sooo happy and grateful. Who would want to spend their vacation with such a boss, let alone rent a permanent pitch?Otomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Elfriede U.Ağustos 2018Olumsuz yanlarıThe disrespectful and completely inappropriate behavior of the operator's wife.Absolutely not recommended!!!Great location meets bad karma. Our conclusion after two years of permanent camping: you can do it, but you don't have to! We can give five stars with a clear conscience for the really fantastic location and the very friendly and customer-oriented lady at reception. The rest is not worth one star. Poor... condition of the jetties (you can break through them), poor maintenance of the camping site and the natural bathing area (totally muddy), cordoned off areas and prohibition signs everywhere, no kiosk, no snack bar, no guarded beach, no value for money (you pay a lot of money for everything and are not allowed to do anything), no (vacation) program for children or teenagers and it's better not to be too loud on the existing mini-playground. If you stay anyway and try to relax in the great location and overlook all these things, you will leave at the latest after making the acquaintance of the operators or the operator's wife. We have been traveling to various campsites and motorhome sites in Germany and abroad for years and have never encountered anything like this. This lady treats permanent campers as well as tourists or day guests in an absolutely unfriendly and disrespectful manner. She is rude and insulting. The privacy of campers is violated in a controlling manner, with the lady entering the permanent campers' pitches in their absence and without prior agreement and taking photos, planting trees or removing things that she thinks don't belong there. The result of all this: The campers leave the sinking ship. Permanent campers who have spent their leisure time here for 20 years or more are giving up. One after the other. Of an estimated 600 pitches, not even half are occupied. The summer with temperatures of over 30°C has brought virtually no guests. We're off then!Otomatik olarak çevrildi.

- Peter R.Ağustos 2018Olumsuz yanlarıThe hosts (the hosts)Never again this place, find another placeI generally use campsites when traveling, where I pitch my tent in the evening, sleep and move on the next morning. I found this one via signs from the road. The signage stated that there was a restaurant inside the campsite area with a separate parking lot for the restaurant's customers. This was important... to me as I had not yet had dinner. Arrived a little after eight o'clock in the evening (on a Sunday) without prior arrangement. The reception was closed, but there was a number to call just for checking in outside normal opening hours. I called and after some time a female employee (K1) arrived and I wanted to spend the night there: One car, one person, one tent for one night. With the pole for the bath it was 18 euros. During check-in I asked if the restaurant was still open, K1 said it was until 21:00. The campsite is fenced and access to the area is controlled by a gate. I was given a token so I could drive out the next morning; K1 let me in. K1 had given me an area to the right of the driveway where I could pitch my tent. It was close to the toilet and shower facilities, which suited me fine; it was also close to the restaurant's parking lot (which would later prove to be important). I found a site suitable for camping, but thought I'd better go eat at the restaurant before pitching my tent (it was now about 20:15). There were still staff in the restaurant, but they informed me that the restaurant was closed; and that they always closed at 20:00 on Sundays. They referred me to a Greek restaurant in Güther. What to do next? I called K1. I said I had to leave the campground to get some dinner and wanted to come back in when I returned. K1 suggested that I park in the restaurant parking lot, which was right next to where I was pitching my tent. I told her that I would look at the conditions and return if I did not find them acceptable. I reminded her that I had paid to get the car into the site. If I parked at the edge of the restaurant's parking lot where, in my judgment, the car would not be a nuisance to others and pitched my tent at the edge of the campground area, I could be close to my car and gear, separated only by a small fence that you could easily straddle. No sooner said than done, I pitched the tent (I thought it was a good idea to do this before I left for dinner so I wouldn't have to deal with it in the dark). Then another woman showed up, let's call her K2. She claimed that it couldn't be right that I should be camping there. I pointed out that the campsite representative, K1, had designated this area for me; besides, I couldn't see why she should interfere with where I pitched my tent. K2 now told me that she also worked for the campsite, and she now doubted whether I had any legal right to use the site at all. I then showed her my receipt. Ok, I had the right to use the campsite, she had to admit; but that wasn't where my tent was supposed to be. The receipt showed a pitch number that was somewhere else on the site. Another guest, my neighbor, now started to interfere. He asked K2 why she was coming and causing trouble? I myself stated to K2 that I had been assigned this area where I could camp by K1. Furthermore, K1 had suggested that I could use the restaurant's parking lot when I returned after eating. In addition, my tent was now erected and I did not have the time and desire to spend my evening packing up and pitching my tent and arguing with her. K2 now said that it was out of the question that I could park in the restaurant's parking lot (even though the lot was empty as the restaurant was closed and would be until I left in the morning). My car would be parked outside the campsite area when I returned (about 80m from there to the tent I would estimate). I was getting fed up, tired and hungry. I called K1 to get her to put K2 in her place and tell K2 that she had suggested I use the restaurant parking lot. But now K1 couldn't remember at all that she had told me that I could park in the restaurant's parking lot. No, it must have been a misunderstanding, she had obviously meant that I should park completely outside the campsite area. K2 left. The neighbor said that he thought I should write a report about what had happened. He thought K2's behavior was outrageous. However, it was to get much worse. It was now around 21:00; I was hungry and thought I'd better drive up and find the Greek restaurant. I found it, there were plenty of people. So it took a while before I could order and again before the food was ready. At 21:40 it was on the table, at 22:00 I had eaten and paid. 22:05 I was back at the campsite, there was no one at the reception. What should I do? I park in the restaurant parking lot, I thought, then we'll see what happens. I drove in, turned off the engine, enjoyed the silence, sat in the car for a minute or so and thought about what to bring in the tent. When I opened the car door, the peace was gone. K2 had apparently been standing guard there, the commands were pouring in: You can't stay here, will you immediately move the car to the parking lot outside. I asked her if I pulled out, would she let me into the lot since she was here. She wouldn't, it was now past 22:00 (22:07) and it was supposed to be quiet after 22:00. It was surreal. There was music blaring out over the area; she herself stood and rolled her eyes, which certainly didn't contribute to the calm either. Would I move my car? I said I wouldn't. In that case, it would have to be a matter between me and the restaurant if they thought I was abusing their parking lot. K2 said that she would call the police. That sounds like a good idea, I said. I thought I had a good case. Surely the police could see the unfairness of paying to bring your car into the lot and then being refused. I took my toiletries and went to the toilet. Or could they? I was in a foreign country, I would have a hard time presenting my case as well as my counterpart. And 18 euros is worth fighting for. In any case, I would hardly be able to calm down at this campsite again. I came out of the toilet building and walked over to the car. There was a man with a large torch in his hand, he was dressed in dark clothes. Have the police arrived already, I thought. "Is this your car?" he asked. Yes, it was. I was told to move it to the parking lot outside the campsite. "Who are you? I asked. He now introduced himself as the owner of the campsite. K2 was his wife, he said. I pointed out to him that the car was not parked in the campsite area but in the restaurant parking lot. This area also belonged to him, the restaurant was just renting it. I couldn't take it anymore, I was tired and just wanted to be left alone by people who apparently saw it as their job to bother me as much as possible. I'll move the car, I heard myself say. I drove the car to the parking lot outside the campsite. Then I went back to my tent and packed it up; I wouldn't be able to sleep there. I was too tired to keep driving. I tried to arrange myself in the car so I could sleep, but it didn't work. In the end, I took my sleeping bag and lay down on a mat behind the car. I didn't get much sleep, I was too angry. It was beautiful to lie and watch the stars through the treetops. However, if I had just prepared myself for this from the start, I would have been 18 euros richer and a lot less harassed. About the characters. K1: Trying to get things running to the best of my ability. Despite the fact that I had bought and paid for a pitch elsewhere, she directed me to pitch my tent close to the toilet and shower, close to the restaurant, which I had stated I wanted to use. When I stated that I had to leave the site due to lack of dinner, she made the pragmatic suggestion that I could use the restaurant's parking lot on my return. A solution that would have worked fine in practice, as the two areas are only separated by a metal fence 40 centimeters high, had it not been for K2. On a negative note, when I called K1 the third time and asked her to talk to K2, she very conveniently "forgot" her earlier suggestion that I could park in the restaurant's parking lot. Obviously, she didn't want to deal with her employer's wife. K2: The reason why you should choose another campsite. Creates problems where there are none. Greets guests with suspicion, as stated I had to show her my receipt to prove that I had paid for the pitch. Continues with her harassment endlessly. Does not introduce herself in relation to her role on the site before she starts with her accusations. Adheres to rules with complete rigor. Rules that you don't know about, as they are not posted anywhere. She could have refrained from disavowing K1's decisions, which would have made things go smoothly. She could have let me into the site at 22:07 (probably against these rules) but that would have made things go smoothly. The site was clearly not yet quiet at this point as there was music coming from various places. The owner: Slightly more appealing than his wife, which unfortunately doesn't say much. Reluctant to listen to any version of the story other than what his wife had told him. Conclusion: If you're up for a good argument, this is definitely the place for you. Conversely, if you're looking for peace and quiet on your vacation, choose somewhere else. Even the most glorious location ofOtomatik olarak çevrildi.
- Melanie K.Temmuz 2018Olumsuz yanlarıThe owner's interaction with the guestsNever againAs part of our little boat trip, we wanted to spend a day including an overnight stay in Güster marina. After 6 hours, however, we got our money back and left. What the owner of the campsite and the marina is getting away with is really more than a bit cheeky. In many reviews you can read that the owner... is "unfriendly" - but this word is the understatement of the century. My father has known this campsite for over 50 years - he often spent his vacations there as a child. We were there at lunchtime and were looking forward to a delicious meal in the pavilion and cooling off in the lake, as it was very warm. You got a taste of the owner's personality as soon as you checked in at reception. But that didn't really interest us, because after all - or so we thought - we had nothing further to do with the lady. The food in the pavilion was very tasty; the waiter (a gentleman) was incredibly relaxed and friendly. My husband bought a fishing card and wanted to go fishing at around 4:30 pm. You could do that on the jetty in the second marina. A short time later, my father and I wanted to visit my husband and son fishing and stepped onto the jetty when my father noticed that a sailing boat was having massive problems entering the marina. As we now knew from our own experience that you have to be extremely careful when entering the marina to avoid running aground, my father spontaneously wanted to give instruction. It soon turned out that the two people on the boat didn't understand German, so we were given tips in English. When that was done and the boat owner, who had previously been close to despair, thanked us with relief, we strolled towards the anglers behind whom there was a boat. We were looking at the boat when we heard an angry voice behind us. The owner was shouting at us in a loud voice that we had no business on the boat and certainly not on the jetty. She would expel us from the jetty, including my husband and son - even though they had a ticket. She was also in the middle of instructing the sailing boat when my father "kept interfering" (we neither saw nor heard her, and the boat owner only looked in our direction). It was "her" lake and nobody had to interfere if she said anything. She wasn't able to listen to us at all and insulted us wildly. At first we calmly tried to find out what this woman was shouting about until we reacted accordingly ourselves. The woman was so angry, suddenly insinuated that we had been "on the boat" and then left us standing in the middle of a sentence and didn't respond to anything. Reception was actually already closed, but luckily there was still a member of staff there. She apologized several times, then spoke to the owner's husband and paid us our money back at our request - we didn't want to stay here one minute longer. While my husband and I stood at reception, my father spoke to the owner's husband, who apologized for his wife's behaviour. She would have panicked when the sailboat kept running aground - someone who is panicking must not be allowed to instruct anyone under any circumstances, but must be removed from the situation immediately so as not to make the person who needs help even more insecure. We knew from an acquaintance who had his campsite there for years and then moved to the campsite on the other side of the lake some time ago that there was constant trouble with the owner. Many people had already moved to the other side of the lake because it was absolutely impossible to relax in peace. We were also told that the couple have only had the campsite for a few years - but they advertise with a flyer showing a 4-star rating from the ADAC. This rating is from 2012 and if the stories are true, there was another owner at the time. Our experience - together with other various reviews, where it is described that the owner is already looking for reasons to be able to whip around; that there are constant reprimands for small things; that this woman simply enters the rented pitches and thus violates the privacy of the campers etc etc - shows us that we are not an isolated case. The husband's apology was nice, but somehow not genuine either, because he will know that his wife won't change. It's easy to get the impression of being ripped off. At first it all seems really nice. But you quickly realize that no money is being spent on necessary things. For example, the climbing frame on the playground is in urgent need of repair and the terrace of the pavilion could also do with a little sprucing up. The showers are ok - even if I personally find the thing with the stamps ridiculous and cheeky. Entering the marina is really quite tricky if you have a larger boat. The water is barely deeper than 1 m and plants are growing everywhere. The buoys are also very difficult to see. For us, these are all reasons never to moor there again or spend our leisure time there in any other way - and to pass on our experience accordingly.Otomatik olarak çevrildi.Campingplatz Freizeitwelt Güster tarafından cevaplandı 27 Temmuz 2018Dear guests, dear interested readers,
Although this comment has nothing to do with camping, which raises the question of whether it makes sense to publish it in this forum,
we would like to use melanie-59577's "steep template" to assure you of the following:
1. we will continue to not allow unauthorized... persons to enter areas marked: "Unauthorized persons are prohibited from entering"!
2. we will not allow unauthorized persons to gain access to the boats, caravans, motorhomes etc. of our guests in the future!
3. we will not allow unauthorized persons to disturb or hinder the "entry process" of boats controlled by our staff or the arrival process of our other guests!
Incidentally, the procedure described involved a sailing yacht with the following dimensions:
Length: 15m, width: 4.50m, draught: 1.80m
which was on its way from Marseille to its home port of Stockholm.
Unlike melanie-59577, we spoke to the skipper. He expressly thanked us for the successful mooring maneuver despite the disruption and praised the food in the Seepavillon restaurant. He will publish his positive experiences in the relevant Scandinavian marina forums. Of course, everyone is free to do their own research.
We are happy to offer every reader the opportunity to gain their own impression.
